Some kind of impure love child of Touhou and Strike Witches.
I was watching this sipping my tea, and then the game trailer started and i just kinda paused holding a cup of tea in my mouth throughout the video. It started to burn, and then wound my exposed flesh, but i didn't stop till the trailer was over.
Now im in hospital with a gauze over my tongue to stop me from scratching it.
I'm still not sure if i want this game or not.
I hope that speaker gets a raise.
Man, I still feel sorry for him. He gave it his all, but no amount of professional presentation could offset the ridiculous anime shit that they showed to these people. It's such a shame too because the game's probably really good because it's just Gradius, but this excessive anime shit ruins it. I'd still play it, but many wouldn't.
He might even be a Gradius fan considering the Vic Viper bit, but fat chance we're getting another Gradius game at this rate, especially when they only release stupid spin-off shit like this that's destined to bomb.
He must've known. And it must've hurt. I know it still does, for me.

I feel so bad for the announcer... that trailer was so incredibly awkward. Setting aside the out-of-place nudity (made more awkward by the obvious censorship), the trailer appeared to have little to do with what he was obliged to say. There wasn't any gameplay, so how is the audience to know that it plays like Gradius? It looked more like the trailer for the latest harem anime =P.

OH MY!!! i just noticed THEY CENSORED THE VIDEO with fake underwears, stars and bubbles, though the girls are not even showing nipples in the original video, just some kind of metallic snaps that hides the nipples. I HOPE they won't put those weird-looking stars and crappy underwear censoring!!
(What I mean by "new generation games" these are the games being set on evolved universes of the legendary games like Gradius, Megaman, Puyo Puyo and Sin & Punishment: these have sequels or spin-offs have characters being descendants of the original protagonists, meeting and /or battling familiar-looking faces from the older games.)

Otomedius-games are so awesome, it's one of those best "new generation" games, full of fanservice in Konami Shootem Up-way- I love the inclusion of Madoka with Twinbee!

I would HOPE this isn't censored when the game comes out! I didn't pay to get that, denying me high-res screenshots & vidcaps! Then again, I AM a long-time shmup fan, though not an ADDICT just yet.
ANYWAY. I can't wait to see what the female Belmont character representing Castlevania will have for her Riding Viper. And I hope Madoka and her Paterna making her broken is still intact x3 >D

I thought this was going to be a localization of Otomedius Gorgeous, but a new game is still really cool. I wish they showed some gameplay, though...

otomedius games are always amazing shooters. it's just a shame that they just showed the game intro and no gameplay. as for there never being a more challenging shooter stateside, this guy has obviously not played deathsmiles

and for the serious answer: It just seems like 360(in Japan more so) is the shooter game console, just like the Saturn or Dreamcast...As much as it sucks it's just a fact of life that we have to life with. Which is why I'ma buy a 360 soon, so I can play all the awesome Japanese shooters.

I have been a big fan of the parodius series have have been waiting ages for a return to the 2D side scroll shooting games of the past.
This would be the perfect game for me, if only I was born in a different country to where I am now.

why does everything have to be about hardcore vs accessibility? Just make the game how it should be and people will chose to play it or not!

I know t's fun to see all Konami shootem ups making a comeback and even all the mythology shoutouts thrown to them, but it seems to fall under the extreme fanservice this game gives out.
This makes this valuable game for hardcore Konami fans to buy it since your friends near ya might think you're a shameless pervert.
I still can't get over the fact that you could TOUCH girls' boobs in the arcade version of Otomedius (since it used a touch screen.)

ok don't get me wrong, I freakin lo this game, but im still waiting for a true gradius game, not one filled with hot ass chicks(witch is awesome),but one with the original vic viper. people can disagree but I prefer the vic viper.
I hope there's an Axelay themed pilot this time around. That was probably the only negative I had with the original; despite still not haveing played the original.
Oh and Konami, if it isn't too much to ask an OST for this series please!
