I listened to this Ghazal on Emirates flight back in 2010 when I was traveling to Dubai from San Francisco, this was the only ghazal I listened to on emirates inflight entertainment system for almost 14 hours flight .
I still remember when I was a child around 4 years my mother used to play songs from marasim and seher at night before sleeping. I have so much emotional value attached with ghazals from marasim and seher. Rip Jagjit Singh
2024 i am in qatarlistening to mirchi at midnight but born in my 90s grew up in India mumbai my all life i listened to indie classic bollywood and pop now missing badly those days just thought of sharing this because i am writing my feelings while this song is being played in background and it has made me to revisit my childhood days where this kind of gazals were made and played on mtv channel what a life it was i feel like crying want to go back to india and live that moment but i guess there are r no such people left no such no such feelings left no such memories with such song is left i just know few people in my circle who share this vibe and i want to live that moment with them again😢

I was a little kid when this song came out and since my childhood i have been stuck in that beautiful era of love, when people used to care for each other. This song is so beautiful. The way Jagjit Sahab delivered this song no one can ever do that. I wish i could live in that era forever. I hate being in this nudist era where everyone is mean. Love has become selfish and mean. I cried watching and listening to these lyrics. It reminds me of my one and only girl friend who left me and made me unable to love again. I wish when i get married i get a loyal and loving wife i would do all these things with her. :)
