I wish these wrapping videos would show you the part where they measure and cut the paper first!!!
You actually don't need the measurements, just pick a random-sized-paper you think is okay as per the size of your gift box, as simple as that
@@ellizanaznin250 If she picks a random piece of paper she may end up with not enough on the ends or too much like this video had on the end of the box.
There's a lot of ways you can get the right amount of paper. If you can find papers that have a cutting grid on the opposite side, measure the the top and bottom of the box, you'll need at least that much to unroll if it's on a roll. Add at 2-3 inches more to allow for wrapping it around the box. Do the same thing with measuring the sides. the sides that have to be folded up. With a big box I measure the height from the surface you're using up to the top of
the box and make sure I have at least half of that measurement to fold up.
@@ellizanaznin250 Nope, you must measure it first, it will be sucks if you only had 1 paper and you measure it by feeling and the paper doesn't enough...true story lol
I didnt measure anything, and it looks great. Just make sure you have a big enough piece to cover at least once around the sides. Worked for me.
For anyone trying this, just mind the minimal size of the paper. If your package has size (x,y,z), you need paper of size at least (2*x+2*z, z+x+y) plus some spare for inevitable errors. (X is the horizontal axis in the video, y is vertical.) Then center your box on x axis and move it same amount from bottom as it's moved from left to get to the starting position.

A LONG time since I studied math. I understand 2 times this plus 2 times that, but I don't understand what follows: z+x+y. Also, i assume z is thickness? It would be a big help if you (or someone reading this) could use real numbers, as in, for example: say the box is 9" high, 7" wide, and 1" thick. Then how would you determine the paper piece size you would need. ?? Thanks so much. This looks like a fantastic way to get the look I want, but I need some help to get started.

I'm such a loser at gift wrapping and just managed to pack a birthday present exactly as shown. It turned out super beautiful as I used a papyrus wrapping paper with interwoven real flowers. I'm soooo happy I can show my friend how much she means to me with this extra effort 🥰🥰🥰 thank you for this video!!!!

It doesn't require much sticking which is good because pealing off tape gets annoying while opening gifts.
I wrapped with ordinary gift wrapper (not paper like).
Looks much easier with paper kind of wrapper.

How do you measure out how much paper to start with?
I would say with 3.5 times the width of the object and 2 times the length
*this is only from observation I am not entirely sure
Use the box. This video show the top covering the top, the bottom folding over the back about 3\4 of the way and the sides covering most of the way (about 3\4) across the back of the gift. hope this helps!
The width is all four sides of the box and the length is one and a half long sides and two short sides
