Im impressed with this Tailor shop even though im a Vietnamese. Only $200 for 3 pcs custom-made suits + one dress and they are made within 24hrs, thats insane. Thank you for showing us this place.
This time frame already shows it's just a glued together suit. It's not any better than getting an h&m suit altered. A suit takes a real bespoke tailor between 40 and 80h to complete. You can btw very easily tell that this is in no way a bespoke suit.

@@nippunsharma in VN there are also 100$ tailored suites but the quality of fabric is not good, also the skill of the tailor suck! Price = Quality remember that!
Super efficient those tailors and what beautiful and well fitting clothes you got for SO little money!! If I'm ever in Hoi An I would DEFINITELY go there and get a tailor made dress - and trousers - and skirts!
I hope to do the same! I would pay as much as they wanted for the quality. I want to travel around the world and get pieces from everywhere (even Korea, ik it’s pricy but Yk quality beats price any day). And some of the tailor places in Vietnam are family run and smaller businesses often have pricier items but handmade and high quality and I couldn’t care less if it’s expensive if it is good quality.
Vietnam is the 6th leading silk producing in the world and their products are pretty good in quality. And of course, you'll get even better price when you support local businesses. The dress and suite that you both had look amazing and fit perfectly. I would definitely get a suite for me next time I visit Hoi An.

You two look absolutely stunning together! I had 2 long dresses (for weddings), a casual pantsuit, a pair of pants and a pair of leather sandals made when I was in Hoi An last month, and all together it cost me just $370, which I considered a bargain! I'm on a Mediterranean cruise right now, and I wouldn't have been able to go to any of the dinners in the dining room if I didn't buy some fancier clothes than I took on my 6-month trip using a tiny carry-on suitcase.

What a beautiful and happy couple. The custom fitted and tailored outfits look great. I know it will be a lot less expensive than what we find in the West but $200 for all of that is just crazy, absolutely nuts. I heard Hoi An also make leather shoes too.
I had a tailor-made suit done for me in Hong Kong more than 30 years ago. Thailand has been known for years as the place to get cheap suits tailor-made, but the shop touts, especially in tourist trap areas, can be downright annoying. That shop in Hoi An looked very pleasant and civil. Fortunately, my days of wearing suits are long gone.
It’s never too late to start wearing suits again (hehe althoigh they are perhaps not the most comfortable!) ☺️ We couldn’t believe the service, it was amazing!!
Visited HK many times in the 80's and 90's. Had shirts made each time I was there. They were great. I hope those folks are okay... Yea, my suit wearing days are long over. Now it's polo t-shirts and jeans!

I went in one of those shops with a picture of Sean Connery from Goldfinger and they made the suit tailored for me. Ten years later its too worn for weddings but I randonly wear it at work every couple of months. Looking sharp Dylan. Cool suit :)
Did the same, but with a picture of Daniel Craig in Casino Royale his dinner jacket tuxedo ensemble. Granted I didn't knew half as much about tailoring and menswear as I do now. So there were poor choices on the material side, even though the finest materials doesn't match average wool from Italian mills. It's very coarse materials, the shirt is still better than a Zara shirt but certainly not the finest Egyptian cotton. And furthermore it's rather unflattering the body. Never had the moment like James Bond that I looked in the mirror and said to myself yes, I'm a secret agent and looking fine. But I would love to back and give it another shot on some rather casual requests.
Wow, you two look fantastic. I sew and make some of my own clothes so when I saw ALL of what was made for you at that price I was blown away! Dylan, Right away what popped in my mind for an occasional switch off would be either a black or navy blue vest for contrast. The lining is stunning. I am so happy for you both.
Ikr, I sew some of my own clothing and I was amazed at how they got all that for $200, I would have paid that for the suit pieces alone nvm that stunning dress. I don’t even think $200 is enough for the quality and time it took I mean it took me almost a week just to do a button up shirt and when you think how long it takes for tailored items anywhere else normally, it could take anywhere between a week and a few months. I think they got a real bargain, they would be getting a LOT of money if they were here in the Uk for that quality and price, it’s a shame that they aren’t somewhere that they could get more money for their items.

Great looking suit and dress! You were so smart to get something tailor made and at a remarkable price. I got my first tailor made three piece suit and overcoat while living in Taipei before I left on a round the world trip. I received so many compliments and there is nothing more comfortable and good looking than tailor made clothes. Anyone traveling in Asia that needs some nice clothes really should take advantage of the high quality and incredible prices that are available. Back in the old days (80s and 90s), even we, poor people, still got our clothes tailored in Vietnam. Only after Vietnam opened its door to the world again that we got clothes from the shops and the markets instead of getting tailored ones.

Great video. Last time I was in Hoi An I needed a jacket for a long motorcycle ride. Had a custom made water buffalo hide jacket made in 24 hours for something like $160. I literally got to choose the hide it was made from.

Vietnamese tailors are among the best in the world. And the tailors in Hoi An are the best in Vietnam. There they used to sew clothes for kings and queens hundreds of years ago. That is cheap! Your suit and dress fit both of you perfectly too. How are the materials that they used to make your suit and dress? Five years ago, I bought a two-pieces suit for my husband to attend a luncheon which cost about $325 USD. After several wears, things began to fall apart due to bad threads. He then donated the suit to Goodwill store for the poor.
They’re a really lovely “thick” cotton blend - I would guess. Feels like a very good material! There were loads to choose from, though! Perhaps due to the pandemic the prices have dropped? This place gave us such an amazing price we couldn’t believe it! 🤗 ah yes, much better to donate than to throw away!

Danang (and hoi an) was part of South Vietnam, who wanted the Americans to come in and help drive out the north. A lot of westerners seem to think all Vietnamese hate Americans, it's quite the opposite - it was a civil war, not an American invasion

I love Hoi An. It's such a magical place. It's like stepping back in time. The suit looks great. Fantastic colour combination with the green and purple. The green looks like British Racing Green like you might see on an older Jaguar.

U guys reminded of my two 2 piece suits that I got from Raymond, a famous tailor franchise in India, I got one from Chennai n one from Mumbai. They r not as cheap as d ones u got in Vietnam but way much cheaper than d tailor made suits in Malaysia. D one I got in Chennai was a luxury material n it only cost me USD150. D one I made in Mumbai only cost me USD125. A real big value for money.

I didn't think that colour would be fit for a formal suit but in the end you looked like a model, amazing. I think the suit will look nice as well with shirts of other colours.

Everything all together was 200 but I believe the dress was around 50 so the three piece suit and shirt and tie was probably around 150? If I remember correctly!
The fit on both the dress and suit are just spectacular. The fabric color look amazing, especially on her, but it looks slightly corny to be matching in color when you go to a function together.
I’ve had a few custom suits before and my ex was a dress maker pattern maker…right away theres a few issues, the shoulders are the main issue, on the suit you have several shoulder issues you will notice if you raise your arms up to level and above your head? On a good suit it will not raise up the whole shoulder as it will with the suit you had made? Go to a department store expensive suit department and just try on any stock well made suit and you should pay attention to how the cut line is down the front. Also I noticed bunching of fabric on the ladies dress around across the chest and around underarms

A lot of these type suits, Indochine, etc, and Thai, HK quick tailors, the suits can look, well, not good. Yours is very good. Excellent work. Nice choice of fabric. You look great. Pair it with a dark brown brogue lace up and it’ll look perfect. Be sure to leave the bottom waistcoat button undone and top button done up only on jacket. Add a classy dress watch. Done. GQ time. Wow, $200 bucks for 1 custom made suite and 1 custom made dress. They look amazing. In the background, the massive inventory of different colors and patterns of materials was overwhelming. You could spend countless hours just choosing materials. It might be worth the cost to fly to Hoi Ann to pickup 4 or 5 suits, and you get delicious food as a plus. Wonderful video.
You guys should really try Com Ga (chicken rice) in Hoi An. There’s a few spots but try to get the dish with the shredded chicken. You won’t regret it!
My job is a pattern cutter. In my professional view it’s from standard pattern not true custom made. But for the price it’s pretty good. You can’t expect true custom cut with that price tag or they won’t make a profit. The dress isn’t cut well but same thing with cost vs performance.

Hi there! Thank you so much!! Of course, no problem! 1. It LITERALLY took 48 hours from first fitting to walking away with the finished product. It wasn’t super busy at the time but double check with the ladies that 4 days is enough - it should be since they’re miraculously fast! 2. We got offered the price in this video and didn’t want to negotiate as it already felt more than fair. I think it’s normal to negotiate somewhat in tourist areas so a bit of haggling wouldn’t be out of place if you feel the price that you are offered is too high. 3. The place is literally just by the edge of old town! 🤗🤗
It's such a long long time since I watch video like this. I was so addicted to watch and seeing the final results of the outfits at these tailor shops, now tourism is coming back but most just focusing on the city tours. You guys have great figures, they can throw rags on and you still look good ..... The price is about right, if not better, because I got 2 pieces suit done by a friend of a friend shop in Saigon and they charged me 2mil dongs . I think if you get more you can bargain for more discount .

What a beautiful and happy couple. The custom fitted and tailored outfits look great. I know it will be a lot less expensive than what we find in the West but $200 for all of that is just crazy, absolutely nuts. I heard Hoi An also make leather shoes too.

I had a tailor-made suit done for me in Hong Kong more than 30 years ago. Thailand has been known for years as the place to get cheap suits tailor-made, but the shop touts, especially in tourist trap areas, can be downright annoying. That shop in Hoi An looked very pleasant and civil. Fortunately, my days of wearing suits are long gone.
It’s never too late to start wearing suits again (hehe althoigh they are perhaps not the most comfortable!) ☺️ We couldn’t believe the service, it was amazing!!
45+ years for me mate. Hong Kong in the early 70's was the place to get a suit overnight! Excellent time and place!

I went in one of those shops with a picture of Sean Connery from Goldfinger and they made the suit tailored for me. Ten years later its too worn for weddings but I randonly wear it at work every couple of months. Looking sharp Dylan. Cool suit :)

Did the same, but with a picture of Daniel Craig in Casino Royale his dinner jacket tuxedo ensemble. Granted I didn't knew half as much about tailoring and menswear as I do now. So there were poor choices on the material side, even though the finest materials doesn't match average wool from Italian mills. It's very coarse materials, the shirt is still better than a Zara shirt but certainly not the finest Egyptian cotton. And furthermore it's rather unflattering the body. Never had the moment like James Bond that I looked in the mirror and said to myself yes, I'm a secret agent and looking fine.
But I would love to back and give it another shot on some rather casual requests.

Dylan, Right away what popped in my mind for an occasional switch off would be either a black or navy blue vest for contrast. The lining is stunning. I am so happy for you both.

Ikr, I sew some of my own clothing and I was amazed at how they got all that for $200, I would have paid that for the suit pieces alone nvm that stunning dress. I don’t even think $200 is enough for the quality and time it took I mean it took me almost a week just to do a button up shirt and when you think how long it takes for tailored items anywhere else normally, it could take anywhere between a week and a few months. I think they got a real bargain, they would be getting a LOT of money if they were here in the Uk for that quality and price, it’s a shame that they aren’t somewhere that they could get more money for their items.
I must say the bespoke green coloured suits for both of you were very well made and both of you look resplendent in them. You did good by supporting a local business. Liked the video and subscribed to your channel. GOD bless.

I got my first tailor made three piece suit and overcoat while living in Taipei before I left on a round the world trip. I received so many compliments and there is nothing more comfortable and good looking than tailor made clothes. Anyone traveling in Asia that needs some nice clothes really should take advantage of the high quality and incredible prices that are available. Back in the old days (80s and 90s), even we, poor people, still got our clothes tailored in Vietnam. Only after Vietnam opened its door to the world again that we got clothes from the shops and the markets instead of getting tailored ones.

Great video. Last time I was in Hoi An I needed a jacket for a long motorcycle ride. Had a custom made water buffalo hide jacket made in 24 hours for something like $160. I literally got to choose the hide it was made from.

That is cheap! Your suit and dress fit both of you perfectly too. How are the materials that they used to make your suit and dress? Five years ago, I bought a two-pieces suit for my husband to attend a luncheon which cost about $325 USD. After several wears, things began to fall apart due to bad threads. He then donated the suit to Goodwill store for the poor.
They’re a really lovely “thick” cotton blend - I would guess. Feels like a very good material! There were loads to choose from, though! Perhaps due to the pandemic the prices have dropped? This place gave us such an amazing price we couldn’t believe it! 🤗 ah yes, much better to donate than to throw away!

I love Hoi An. It's such a magical place. It's like stepping back in time. The suit looks great. Fantastic colour combination with the green and purple. The green looks like British Racing Green like you might see on an older Jaguar.

U guys reminded of my two 2 piece suits that I got from Raymond, a famous tailor franchise in India, I got one from Chennai n one from Mumbai. They r not as cheap as d ones u got in Vietnam but way much cheaper than d tailor made suits in Malaysia. D one I got in Chennai was a luxury material n it only cost me USD150. D one I made in Mumbai only cost me USD125. A real big value for money.

The fit on both the dress and suit are just spectacular. The fabric color look amazing, especially on her, but it looks slightly corny to be matching in color when you go to a function together.

I’ve had a few custom suits before and my ex was a dress maker pattern maker…right away theres a few issues, the shoulders are the main issue, on the suit you have several shoulder issues you will notice if you raise your arms up to level and above your head? On a good suit it will not raise up the whole shoulder as it will with the suit you had made? Go to a department store expensive suit department and just try on any stock well made suit and you should pay attention to how the cut line is down the front. Also I noticed bunching of fabric on the ladies dress around across the chest and around underarms

A lot of these type suits, Indochine, etc, and Thai, HK quick tailors, the suits can look, well, not good. Yours is very good. Excellent work. Nice choice of fabric. You look great. Pair it with a dark brown brogue lace up and it’ll look perfect. Be sure to leave the bottom waistcoat button undone and top button done up only on jacket. Add a classy dress watch. Done. GQ time.

Wow, $200 bucks for 1 custom made suite and 1 custom made dress. They look amazing. In the background, the massive inventory of different colors and patterns of materials was overwhelming. You could spend countless hours just choosing materials. It might be worth the cost to fly to Hoi Ann to pickup 4 or 5 suits, and you get delicious food as a plus. Wonderful video.

My job is a pattern cutter. In my professional view it’s from standard pattern not true custom made. But for the price it’s pretty good. You can’t expect true custom cut with that price tag or they won’t make a profit.
The dress isn’t cut well but same thing with cost vs performance.

Hi there! Thank you so much!! Of course, no problem! 1. It LITERALLY took 48 hours from first fitting to walking away with the finished product. It wasn’t super busy at the time but double check with the ladies that 4 days is enough - it should be since they’re miraculously fast! 2. We got offered the price in this video and didn’t want to negotiate as it already felt more than fair. I think it’s normal to negotiate somewhat in tourist areas so a bit of haggling wouldn’t be out of place if you feel the price that you are offered is too high. 3. The place is literally just by the edge of old town! 🤗🤗
It's such a long long time since I watch video like this. I was so addicted to watch and seeing the final results of the outfits at these tailor shops, now tourism is coming back but most just focusing on the city tours. You guys have great figures, they can throw rags on and you still look good ..... The price is about right, if not better, because I got 2 pieces suit done by a friend of a friend shop in Saigon and they charged me 2mil dongs . I think if you get more you can bargain for more discount .

Very glad that you two are satisfied with the price and the quality of the suit and dress. My wife had her wedding dresses made in Saigon, and we love them. I regetted not have my suit made over there as well.
