Thanks for the thumbs up ZEUKI1. It's a really good saw for battery powered. A lot of folks say go to 80V, but if I want that much saw, I have two gas saws for serious wood cutting. It's great for some quick cuts to clean something up. If you have greenworks 40v tools, they have quite a line up. The pole saw is great. I used it a lot to clean up after an ice storm we recently had. I also bought an extra extension for it so I can reach around 15' with it. Take care.
You won't be disappointed. One thing I noticed is you can't run the chain as loose as a gas saw, it will tend to throw the chain if you let it get very loose, so check it often.
My wife got me this 2 years ago with no battery or charger. So I finally got a battery and charger this week lol. Gotta trim the palms in the front, this looks like it'll get it done!
After your review of the pole saw I went ahead and bought the Greenworks. I've used it several times on a couple of small jobs and it did a real nice job. The chainsaw looks like a handy tool for homeowners to get those odd jobs done. Have a good day Jerome.
Hey Russell, I love that pole saw. I have the weed eater too with the edger attachment. Still in the box. lol I also have the little cultivator and I just used it yesterday in our raised bed garden. Thanks for watching and commenting.
I bought one in March of 2020. Used it and it worked fine. Stored it for 4 years, charged the battery and it worked good for a few branches. A week later I tried to use it and the on/off power button stuck in and it will not operate. I messed around trying to get it to pop back out with no luck. I am debating on taking it apart to see if I can get the button unstuck. It serves no purpose in its current condition. Warranty ran out 6 months ago. I originally paid $145. I checked the price on a new one and its around $270. Was hoping to find a disassembly vid on UA-cam.
Ugh, that's awful. Mine has a little momentary toggle membrane button. You might research how to unstick that type of switch. Maybe you could put a pin hole in it and inject some alchohol or something. Another idea is to get another one tool only and use this one for parts, or get a used one on eBay for parts. I had a 20V dewalt that the ESC quit after a couple of limb cuts after it sat for a long time. Out of warranty and saw is like new. The part to fix it is almost as much as a new one. Maybe gas saws are more reliable after all. lol Good luck.
@@JeromeBeeFarm Actually after I posted I prayed about this last night. A little while later I went back to the garage to mess with it again. There is a rubber cover that covers that switch and I used my fingernail to lift it up just enough to get to the little button underneath. I flicked it with my fingernail and it beeped. So I re-covered it and turned it on and now it is working. It is a blessing that I did not have to take it all apart or spend any more money. Another tragedy averted by the power of prayer. Thank you for your reply.
This is how to make a pollen substitute > all purpose flour 1 1/2 c ground up cornmeal 1 1/2 c ~ 3 tbs of dry yesst ~ mix it up good he hee if the bees don't like it use it as flour for fried chicken
Hi and yes I’m happy with it. It is a little heavy though compared to a gas saw of the same size they weigh about the same. I use it often for quick small jobs.
Impressive saw sir, be great for cutting them small limbs AND bigger stuff if need be, I bet it's light too, won't work ya like the gas saws!! Good review Mr Darren!! Dan
Hey Mr Dan! So good to hear from you. Yeah, I like the saw. Good thing is I also have the weed eater, little cultivator, and a pole saw. You would like that cultivator for your little garden beds. Hope all is well at Home in the Sticks. Take care and be safe.
Can you imagine how much a Dewal would cost? about get 3 Greenworks for the price of one And the Greenworks is just as good! i save even more by use of the cord!. but there making them battery pack much much better now days > I just like cord much much liter. cheaper and more dependable!
Nope i will give you a good example why? i want go to battery packs. i charge up my habor frieght drill, 5 hours like it said. 2 day later i had to use it. GRRR mf battery was dead again! What did i use ? my dependable cord drill That is 1 very good example, the 2nd one is,. they run out of juice in a middle of a job GRRR 3rd they cost more and heavier too 3 strikes its OUT!
How have you liked the other one so far? Looks pretty good to me. Looks a little quicker than the other ones you tried and it doesn't seem to bounce on the limb as much. Just digs in and cuts. I like it. I thought you were going down with the tree too lol.
Hey Caney Branch Farm. It's a lot better than the other greenworks 40v and dewalt 20v brushless. It's very similar to the Makita that was in my other video that smoked the other two. lol In fact, the thumb switch looks and makes the same sounds as the Makita. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the same motor and electronics in this saw as the Makita. This one still skips around a little on small branches. I think maybe it's because they are lighter than a gas saw. Who knows. Yeah, that tree didn't want to go down. I was more worried about the dead limb widowmaker that was hanging up there above me. lol Take care man. I hope everything is well with you and your family.
@@JeromeBeeFarm That would be pretty good if Makita did make it. I wounder how it would compare to the Stihl cordless? I hear a lot of good things about it but it is so much more expensive I believe. I think I would take this one though. Yeah we are hanging in there. Not too much going on around here lol. See ya buddy.
I bought a saw from another brand and the oiler worked for a while, after ordering another to replace it was still trash to me. Hows this until working
My only gripe on this saw is the weight. A gas saw this weight is much more capable. But, a gas saw and a battery saw have their place, so you shouldn't compare them in my opinion. Gas saws are for longer duration cutting and bigger cuts, while battery saws are for quick easy jobs and not meant to be cutting up a rick of firewood. The oiler, on this saw and my other battery saws leak out the resivour, so empty the oil out back into your bottle, or it will all be on the floor. Oiler problems are usually a clog - be sure where the bar mounts to the saw it's good and clean, you can also blow out the bar oil channel to be sure it's clear.

Good review, thanks. People don't realize how important taking the 5 seconds to thumbs up and comment is for a good video helps smaller channels.

Thank you for the demo!!! Just got mine yesterday, charging the battery right now, can't wait to try it!1

Seems to work much better then the other two you have. Thanks for the review! Stay safe and have a great week!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂 Mr CB. Yeah, it’s very similar to that makita. I bet it has the same components in it.
Thanks Buddy!

Yeah it’s definitely in the higher tier of battery saws. I still use mine. It’s a little on the heavy side, but for small jobs it’s great.

Great little saw for the small stuff....Keep the bar oiled and the chain sharp and it should be good to go!!
Hey Wes! How’s it going? Yeah, it’s a nice one. It’s very similar to that Makita my neighbor has. Controls are identical.
im like your review, thank you!

Hey Jerome! Thanks for the review. I’m curious if you’re still happy with the chainsaw 2 years later.
