- Alice Springs Deputy Mayor Jacinta Price says she is here to "smash the narrative" of the left that say Indigenous Australians are "constantly victims" and those on the left are their "champions".
The remarks come amid Ms Price unseating Senator Sam McMahon as the Country Liberal Party's top Senate candidate in the Northern Territory.
Ms Price said the left "always push a particular narrative" and want Aboriginal people to "feel hard done by" so they can "point the finger" at who they think are the perpetrators and "claim to be our champions" when they are not.
"Because to tell us that we're victims constantly has been removing our agency and the ability for us to understand that we can stand on our own two feet, we can achieve so much," she said.
"The left also relies on an industry which has been heavily funded on the backs of the misery of Indigenous Australians and I'm here to say enough, we've had of it.
"The ultimate freedom is responsibility is knowing you have freedom of choice. The left hate that because they want to control the narrative - well I'm here to smash the narrative."
Hoping Jacinta can help undo the bs and lead the way forward for black and white Australians together

Anybody without an agenda and common sense knows she is an honest leader amongst her people both white and non white. Back in the 70s I knew missionaries who ran dry settlements, no violence and taught skills needed to provide opportunities for the indigenous people. Compare that to the hell holes the left have created. Had to laugh at her ‘black fella’ and ‘white fella’ when referring to her parents... I grew up with that kind of language in Mount Isa. It’s not racist, that’s just how everyone spoke in the outback. Those days had no idea of what this current ‘woke’ culture is.
It is going to be a great day when Jacinta takes her place in the Australian Federal Senate; there will be a whole raft of people just hoping to not come under her watchful eye and a whole raft of people suddenly facing a future without scrutiny of their wasteful ways.
