These guys u can see are very loving people and they make me smile when they try new and exciting flavours and different kinds of foods, this cheese cake is amazing as I have tried it.
Being Italian and hating cheese more than anything else, when I heard Tahir saying that he wants to forbid Italians to eat cheese, my heart just melt out of happiness.
It always makes me smile when I know the sweets are coming.. because Chaundry will never disappoint with his reaction! When I lived in Hawaii (a lot of Japanese people live there) I went to this Japanese bakery every week. They seem to put a lot of energy into making some of the finest deserts around. It was a good thing that I walked everywhere and went swimming everyday, otherwise I would have gained a lot of weight.
My hope when watching this channel and they say they want to travel is that you guys take some of that ad revenue and put it towards taking them on a trip. They would probably love it and appreciate it much more than the average person, and it would be life changing for them. 😊

It's made similar to a souffle. It is baked, but, you place the cake tin into a larger pan that has a tea towel or paper towels on the bottom, then you pour water into the larger pan, which helps it cook evenly, before baking

This looks like they actually got an Uncle Tetsu cake. It's a famous global chain and there's one in Lahore. Lahore is actually very multicultural and has a lot of different international restaurants, some chains and some small businesses. I imagine much of the time, when they don't mention who made or gifted it, the creators purchase items in the city to bring to the men and women.

I wonder if it would be practicable to bring their wives into a kitchen occasionally for lessons in preparing the most popular - and appreciated - dishes. Something confidence boosting with easily accessible and inexpensive ingredients - remember the onion rings ? Once learned, things tend to trickle down to others, don't they ?
Add an extra egg white when you're making the meringue and make sure that you are gently folding it in as to not lose the volume of the meringue don't Stir It vigorously
There are a ton of recipes for the Japanese style cheesecake on UA-cam .. and really it is so easy to make you just have to make sure that when you're adding the meringue to the batter you don't over mix it, you fold it gently ...and I recommend adding an extra egg white... I hope this helps
You are lucky to have Vegemite. I know..it's a love it or hate it thing. Personally, I have it almost every day. Pretty hard to find in stores in America though...🙁 One more thing: A burger with the lot is heaven on earth!!!!

@@Meandmymirror We have H-Marts in Northern California. It’s an Asian food big grocery store. If you have any Asian food markets nearby they may have these cheesecakes.
It’s more like angel food cake mixed with cheesecake. It’s based off castella cake, if you’ve ever had that. Mochi used rice flour, this uses really refined wheat cake flour. The only places you can get this brand, Uncle Tetsu’s, is in Cali or NYC right now, but they often sell the same kind of cake in Asian bakeries. Or try a castella cake from a Hispanic bakery, that’s almost the same thing. It can be a pain to make at home until you get the hang of it. Hard to get them to turn out as spongey and fluffy as these
That looks tasty and they really enjoyed it. I ate makkhan malai once in UP and it looks a bit according to their taste. I am sure they have similar dishes in their province. I still try to master my korean Tornado - Omlette . That would be something for them too.
Definitely one of the best cakes that always impresses. It takes a long time to prepare and bakes in a water bath. Then you can eat it the next day. The texture is unlike regular cakes. The recipe doesn’t use baking soda. The fluff comes from beating the egg whites. You’ll need a food scale to create this masterpiece but it’s worth it. I’m glad these guys got to try it. 😋

There is a lot of Portuguese influence in Japanese cooking. Castella cake is the most obvious but even things like Tempura was influenced by the Portuguese since Japan did not fry foods before the western influence.

Western foods are Heavier & have more FAT & calories.
