I’m in the research phase of eBay but have my background in reselling on Amazon. Very helpful perspective. I have said the same thing, the margins are so much higher on eBay!
hello! thank you for your detailed video! how did you find the VAs in the Phillipines? Also would love to see the cards you create for them to do the listings
No problem! Thank you for watching! There’s multiple platforms where you can hire VAs (upwork, fiverr, bruntwork, etc.) the main thing you need to do is find a person that can understand and write English well, and you have to have your expectations and standards very well defined so they know what the job entails. You can also do a trial run with them where you give them some instruction on what you want done and then pay them for that small amount of work they do. You do this so you can evaluate their speed and accuracy before hiring them. We have a video that shows the cards actually. The title is “What we are Buying in 2024 and Our 2 Minute Photo Setup #thrifthaul” Please feel free to check it out! It’s in the middle of the video!
Would love to hear another video on the VA’s. I’ve been using one in the Philippines but I am currently writing down everything for her like SKU, color (especially if it’s like a dark blue or black in some of the photos, lightweight, heavyweight, weight for shipping, and if I want promoted or not. Of course by the time I do all these notes for her, I might as well list myself. Would love to see what you guys do differently to get them all the details they need.
I did not make it to the end of the video. But it looks like you guys have a lot to offer the resale world. UA-cam is a process and making good videos are tough and take time (Mine are terrible). I hope you continue put out videos. I look forward to learning from your content. 🤙
Also rq question for Christian. What does a typical weekday schedule look like for you? Do you workout early (5-7am) before work? Asking because resale and school have been overtaking my fitness goals atm and I'm trying to create a more streamlined schedule.
Great question! It can be really hard to make time for fitness when you’re trying to scale a business. I normally workout early in the morning around 5:30 or I’ll go on a run in the afternoon after we’ve gotten all of the shipping done and I’ve listed half of my daily quota. I’ve actually found that I’m more productive when I workout early and get the blood flowing.
Thank you so much! We push 75 individual items to eBay and the other platforms everyday. We promote at a range of 8-10%, and I believe we have a affiliate link to our whole light system on Amazon. For the bulbs we don’t get too particular. We try to use a softer light, but we don’t know a lot about lighting so I’m sure there are better bulbs to use for photographing clothing that we don’t know about.
Hello! My question(s) regards budgeting. Christian stresses the importance of knowing your numbers, Do y'all use Excel to track spending (income/expenditures) and if so, any tips, video recommendations, reading that would be beneficial for a freshman reseller? My goal is to scale within a two year period like y'all. Thanks for the great content Resale Bros.
Hi Chuck! We actually use google sheets to track our expenses! As far as tips go, I would say that every reseller has a different financial situation. Knowing how much money you have to invest in your inventory is a definite must. As you make more, you can increase how many items and how much you spend per month on inventory. I know this response isn’t great but we will try to make a more in depth video on tracking your numbers in the near future! Great question!
How many listings were you doing per day on your first year second year and how many are you doing now? Would you say that it really affects monthly income positively to up the daily listing goals?
Looks exactly like a store from the Techsports reseller nirvana group, but heard no credit of where you actually learned from in where you came from in this business. Regardless, I only follow a few people to keep up with research with sellers I know are killing it with their sell through and profits vs gross, but looking at your store, looks like you're killing it on a daily basis. Subscribed.
Thanks so much for the compliments, the sub, and the views! We never joined his group so we don’t know the information that he provided in it. We did learn from from Tech, and many other online resellers. But only the free videos on UA-cam. We do a lot different than him when it comes to our processes (Use of VAs, storage of items in the poly bags for faster shipping, we cross list, etc). We basically got our inventory sequential number sku system from his videos, some brand knowledge, and the gray background for photos. We really tried to learn from everyone in the space so we could optimize our systems and not only only grow quickly, but manage the growth effectively! We definitely don’t know everything when it comes to reselling and are continuously learning from others!
@@ResaleBrothers I was in it for a while, but you definitely can learn all you need to know without being in the paid group. He does do it differently with the listings and inventory. They were copying that Chris guy or he was copying someone else. It does work, though I use plastic bins on shelves currently with 160 bins. I'm moving up to Michigan from Florida and fully intend to crush that market. Haha. I think you have competition with Cayley Elaine in Ohio? Just playing. Plenty to go around for everyone.
Hahaha yeah there’s plenty for everyone! Can’t imagine having to move that far with all your inventory.. best of luck with that! You’re going to kill it in Michigan! Keep us updated on how the thrifting is up there!!
@@ResaleBrothers Appreciate the kind words! The move will be a hassle, but it has to be done. As long as the clothing is plentiful, I should be able to hit it hard. Will keep an eye out for more videos!
Just found you guys, great video! I have a remote assistant as well I send photos to. I have a large volume of photos every day and I'm wondering if there is a faster/better way to get them onto google drive, what do you guys do? It seems so time consuming for me. I'm looking to learn techniques, I want to scale up my business, I'm in the same niche as you. Thanks!
Thank you! We are currently using google drive as well. Not sure of a faster way at the moment. We normally upload the photos from 3 different computers in order to cut down on time.
If you're sending notes to an assistant of the said item? Couldn't you just list yourself for a few more minutes spent? Plus a little more change in your pocket
We started off doing that, and we found that it takes us longer to list an item ourselves. Especially with all the item specifics eBay wants nowadays. But that’s just our preference!
I think that it is easier to use va's for title building and pushing listings to the platforms. They cost less than a US employee and you will have less turnover.
@@ResaleBrothers delist and relist does nothing. Fault is in title keywords,pics,price...otherwise it's not something anyone wants. Also check sell thru rate
At the beginning of each new “season” we pull old items that were listed the previous year and take them down completely and retake pictures, redo titles, descriptions, and lower prices. We think it keeps things fresh in our store.
@@ResaleBrothers you don't completely take it down you just fix it. That's like moving a item out on the sidewalk of a brick and mortar store ,dusting it off and moving it back in. Zero progress
Yes we delete it and take it down, but we also fix the titles, pictures, and lower the prices before we put it back up. I think we agree that if an item doesn’t sell that the listing needs fixed, however we delete the item and start over. We have found that this method helps us sell old items that have been buried in the algorithm.
We run at around 40% profit from our gross sales numbers but we don’t give out full taxable income numbers online for obvious reasons! Great question though!
Our costs are pretty low for the size of our store. We will do a complete breakdown video in the near future! Thanks for the comment! Its a good question
90% of our items are from thrift stores (for profit), traditional thrift stores (donations), and goodwill stores. The other 10% will come from retail stores when they have big clearance sales.
The eBay store has been open since 2001 because our mom opened an account back then. It was dormant for about 20 years and then we started selling on it about two years ago now.
You have only been saying the revenue # I want to hear the after tax net and cost of goods if you are paying $4.50 for an item and selling it for $10.99 free shipping you could turn over half a million in sales and still only make $10k for the whole year.
We charge shipping for all of our items. We also average well over $10 net profit per sale. We do all of our net numbers at the end of the month. If you want those number you will have to wait a little bit.

Where should I look for a good VA to list items?
You have to write a job description and post it to a va hosting site such as upwork.
Do you feel that it's better to hire a VA as opposed to a local regular employee?
I think that it is easier to use va's for title building and pushing listings to the platforms. They cost less than a US employee and you will have less turnover.
Min wage in the Philippines is about 1.90 per hour.. most sellers pay a fee per ad
Do you guys promote your listings?
Yes, we promote between 6%-10% depending on the time of year.
Do you use coupons? Do you promote, if so what %? Use mark downs on old stuff?
Great growth in 2 years
Yes we use coupons and promote at 5-9 %. We dont mark down old stuff. We just relist it

Right off the top is about 200 to 300k pocket money for that amount . That's before taxes tho
How do you ship out so many items ?
We have a shipping station that is very fast and efficient normally takes around 40 seconds per item item shipped.
@ResaleBrothers do just the 2 of you ship or you have employees who help? Would love a video on your shipping process
It’s just the two of us shipping! We typically ship 6 days a week. We will get a shipping video out soon!

That would be awesome hahaha!!! Resale sisters needs to happen
