The old exposition guy might be the stand in for the Skull Cowboy. They said they were trying to follow the comic more than the original movie.
If Bill & Twigs can convince me that Eric loves Shelley enough to claw himself back from the dead to avenge her, I'll allow the mullet and tattoos.
You must not have read the original comic that is what this is based off of now he doesn't have that tattoos in that but he does have a mullet like this one
@@RyZe_DaBoyz I did, in fact, read the original comic. I read it when it was new, but that's beside the point. This is a very specific fashion mullet. A hipster mullet if you will. Eric's in the comic was a hairstyle appropriate to the time it was written.
@@RyZe_DaBoyzHe has a mullet, but not like this one. His hair is as different from the graphic novel as it was in ‘94-just in the opposite direction.
I was 17 when the original came out, so it has always been one of those nostalgic movies for me. I don't care for his look, which apparently was inspired by Post Malone & Lil Peep. And as you said, going with Eric and Shelly automatically compares it to the 94 film. Maybe I'll catch it on streaming, but no theater for me.

I was there from the beginning as well. It looks like a great Crow movie. They shouldn't be named Eric and Shelley. They shouldn't show so much in the trailer. But i will be there for it, just like I've been there for all the other movies and the tv series, even Crow:Wicked Prayer.
*I consider Kill Bill to be a Crow movie in all but the name and the lack of face paint.
**I am not ashamed to admit that I loved the tv series and even have a signed autograph from Mark Dacascos who played Eric in the show.

@@MegaReacts there also exists a horrible rip-off of the Crow, called The Chosen One: Legend of the Raven with Carmen Electra, I actually have it on dvd but never dared yo actually watch it

I can't get behind Hollywood Remakes and I definitely can't get behind this. The Crow was iconic both in Comic and Movie form. I would almost dare to say that it defined a generation. There are very very few remakes I like.
This would have been cooler if it was based on the Mexican Day of the Dead. You could do SO MUCH MORE with the makeup, have a different soundtrack with more energy in it (less like the mopey, edgey 90s). IMAGINE an undead Zorro with sugar skull makeup on weilding dual pistolas and blades including a rapier.🔥🔥🔥
I was even thinking you could do a Crow set in the future. Why can't the crow fight robots with a digital Crow on his shoulder? i know it's crazy sounding but no one would compare it to the original at that point.
@@MegaReacts YES, but the issue would be that Hollywood is broke right now. And what if it's not a crow on it's shoulder but something else? The story is what made it popular. Guy comes back from the dead to become an instrument of vengence - for love..
I went into this with a highest of hopes. I just can't get past the names not being changes.
@@MegaReacts Ya, becuase it was a BAD DESCISSION. They want to remake it instead of add to the lore. :/ Hollywood kills imagination.

I liked the 2nd Crow. I don't think it's great but I also think it's not trash. This reboot trailer actually made me a bit angry. This is a far cry from the comics AND the original movie. You're also right👉This should be A NEW FRANCHISE with a new gimmick that people compare to The Crow. HARRRRD PASSSSSS.
I liked it too. It felt like the people behind the camera really cared to make a good movie, even if it got butchered in the editing room
As a fan of both the original Robocop and the 2014 remake, you just have to divorce the original from your mind. Remakes _should_ be a slightly different take on the original premise. If it were exactly the same story, then you might as well watch the original. Though that sentiment is trickier when it based on other source material.
These three comments nail it for me:
"The Batman looked more like The Crow than this movie does"
"In the original, Eric looks like he plays guitar for Nine Inch Nails. In the reboot, Eric looks like he raps on SoundCloud."
"What made the original so appealing wasn’t just Brandon Lee or the story, it was also the setting. Almost every shot is in this gothic dark world where every scene is either in a dark room or at night while it’s raining. It had its own unique mood and vibe that complements this dark story about death and revenge."
They should have done "Dead Time" or "Flesh & Blood" instead.
Leave the original comic story alone. They're never going to top the Brandon Lee movie adaptation, and then there's really no point.

John wick started as a revenge movie. He dies in j.w 4. With one or two tweaks, this is literally how John could come back from the dead for Jw 5! 😜 So John wick could be the new Eric draven! 🤣
I totally agree with you on everything and the names. But I think the new look of the Crow, sucks.

Yea this needed to be another story from the crow comics they failed already. I would have gave it a chance. But i will not give it my money, its disrespectful to the first movie.

This one is based off of the original comic book not the one you have
I have all the Crow comics. The one I showed in the video is the original comic series just compiled in one book.
It looks okayish. It *sounds* terrible. This is incredibly bad dialogue.
Just No. No. this is right beside the remake of Fright Night, and Robocop . Just No.
As an avid fan of the original Fright Night I thought the remake was fun as its own thing. I’m super excited for the crow remake too after seeing the trailer.
