Idk why people think this is creepy? It sounds very nice to me. I can imagine many beautiful scenes from this music. There is a tinge of sadness to it, but that was already there in the original.
I think the reason why people think its scary is because of the "out of tune" or "distorted" piano. After watching the movie Howl's moving caste, in my opinion this version fits it perfectly. Maybe not directly in the movie but, in edits or amvs. The way the tones sound makes it seem old to me? Old and worn out, which somewhat fits the movie especially the castle and its appearance. It adds more personality to the song itself, old (like circus music). I play piano myself and the way they play it, it clearly has some 'add ons' not anything negative it just makes the song sound more 'extra' in a way, in this case I would say it makes it much more fluid and hasty.
I feel like this song would be used as if there are five kids in the world that is ending but really its not, just a powerful organization trying to manipulate the world. And the members of the organization is trying to get the last 5 kids.
In my opinion is like a beautiful kind of scary? Like imagine this song playing while you're in a flowy dress in a flower field as you're getting chased by a life threatening creature/person, and then you get to a dark forest ... And I'll leave the rest of the story up to your imagination

It sounds very manic and I love it. Like someone is unintentionally screwing everything up because they're so clumsy or unaware. Until they realize what they've done and everything they held dear is either gone or destroyed and doesn't really know how to deal with the sudden trauma so they just twirl and sing like they've always have but this time they slowly get more insane as they live on. I really think you should watch the movie! it's called Howl's Moving Castle, and it's on Netflix. It's by Studio Ghibli, and is two hours long, but a very sweet story that appeals to both action and the hopeless romantic we all like to say we don't have, but truly do.
This reminds me so much of the opening of the original Haunted Mansion movie, with the ball room, the scene is so majestic, then there’s a sudden burst of disaster and depression.

This is one of the few musical pieces of piano that I genuinely enjoy and appreciate. The song has a sense of delecacy, that at any moment everything can come crashing down. There are wooden mannequins filling the room, each dressed in exquisite attire, moving lively, yet in rigid fashion. And atop an elevated platform stands a grand, black piano, equally as old and grand as its housing. Playing the piano is yet another mannequin dressed in fancy attire, playing the piano with stiff yet elegant movement. The scene is chilling yet gives a sense of awe and a small mixture of excitement mixed in.

If you can, try to find 2 or 3 friends in a similar situation as you. It is way easier to do things in a group than all by yourself, feeling hopeless. Finally you let go of their hand knowingly you will not see them in a long time, right before they go they wink at you and say "We most definitely will meet again, do not worry I will always be here no matter what..so till then" Once again you breathe deeply and close your eyes and find yourself on the ground still gazing at the stars one of them wink at you and all you can say is, "Till then....."

As the music starts, you see all the couples in their ballgowns and suits and ties gather on the dance floor, spinning their partners in synch, going the same direction, looking like it has been rehearsed for months but it was just spontaneous without any practice or training, yet it looks so smooth as if it was practiced. You sit on a broken fountain below an arch made of rose bushes, surrounded by vibrant and dark colored roses, waiting for your lover the prince/princess charming you’ve always wanted. The song plays several times only to be saddened with gloom. You look at your suite/dress and think “this was such a waste.” You become sad and the only thing you can do is watch people pass by as you get ignored by the happy couples and dance partners. You keep your head down and see shoes/a dress standing in front of you look up to be slightly blinded by the amazing image that stands in front of you. He/she is there, your prince/princess charming, standing in front of the moon with a hand outstretched and a warm and seductive smile. Without any words you know he/she says “May I have this dance?” As you dance, the world seems so distant, everyone in the crowd, the masquerade ball, everything just the two of you, the moon, in the garden illuminated by the moon dancing to a song made just for the two of you. The song slowly comes to an end, the dance coming to a stop with the music, and as your prince/princess charming lets go of you, he/she disappears into dark sparkles in the moon light. When the music finally ends, you wake up only to find out you’ve fallen asleep on the fountain. Everyone is gone, the garden is empty and the moon shines brightly on your lonely mourning soul, and the light gets brighter and brighter, and you wake up. It’s seven A.M in the morning, only realizing that masquerade ball was just a dream you had and never will have again, never knowing when you’ll see your prince/princess charming ever again. And all you can say is *”Unfair”*

Until they realize what they've done and everything they held dear is either gone or destroyed and doesn't really know how to deal with the sudden trauma so they just twirl and sing like they've always have but this time they slowly get more insane as they live on. This is one of the few musical pieces of piano that I genuinely enjoy and appreciate. The song has a sense of delecacy, that at any moment everything can come crashing down. There's also a tinge of sadness and remorse that can be heard as the piano continues to play and it'll continue to play until the day we die.

I feel like this would go in a large, grand and circular ballroom with lavish yet old chandeliers, candles and lights, the scene is monochrome yet vibrantly lit, there are signs of wear and tear among the infrastructure yet it still looks stunning. There are wooden mannequins filling the room, each dressed in exquisite attire, moving lively, yet in rigid fashion. And atop an elevated platform stands a grand, black piano, equally as old and grand as its housing. Playing the piano is yet another mannequin dressed in fancy attire, playing the piano with stiff yet elegant movement. The scene is chilling yet gives a sense of awe and a small mixture of excitement mixed in.
I imagine sitting in the corner of a dark room with nothing but a chair in the middle of the room and a faint light coming from a 3 inch in diameter hole. And I’d be trapped there going insane while listening to this over and over again. Only peeking out of the hole to see beautiful blooming life everywhere and people going by as I’m in this room of forgotten darkness forgotten by everyone and only me to think about… I kinda wish it did happen..

Start waking up early, start having more positive thoughts, get into a mental activity such as maths, coding, etc, grow a passion over it, spend more time with your loved ones, all of that.
If you can, try to find 2 or 3 friends in a similar situation as you. It is way easier to do things in a group than all by yourself, feeling hopeless. Let's just say that if you are """hopeless""" together, you are not hopeless at all, haha

You look behind your lover and see a big white door shining just like the moon. You look back up at them and feel the disappointment in their eyes and know what is going to be said next.
"I am sorry my darling/dear I must go, this was the most amazing dance of my- lif- erm- death?" you grasp their hands in disapproval of not letting them go.
"No! No, you can not leave me again! Please stay!" as tears overflow your eyes you feel warm hands touch your face.
"I will not be gone forever we will meet again in another life, even so I will be by your side watching." they wipe away your tears and take your breathe away with a kiss for the very last time. Finally you let go of their hand knowingly you will not see them in a long time, right before they go they wink at you and say "We most definitely will meet again, do not worry I will always be here no matter what..so till then"
Once again you breathe deeply and close your eyes and find yourself on the ground still gazing at the stars one of them wink at you and all you can say is, "Till then....."
