I really like this guy. I don't really care that he doesn't speak french, but I respect that he wants to improve. For someone that never really spoke the language, his opening remarks were actually a decent try. I'm sure he's honest when he says he'll do the best he can to learn the languague. That's all we want to hear in Québec. Props Jeff Gorton, I'm already a fan (and that golf analogy was hillarious!)

Those that want Patrick Roy as GM??? The way he left Montreal. Arrested for domestic violence in 2000, in which no one talks about it anymore, they only talk about Logan Mailloux who made a teenage mistake, but Roy was not a teenager when he was arrested, I'm glad that his wife left him.
The way he left Colorado because he wasn't happy with some of the decisions Joe Sakic made. The way he went crazy behind the bench in a game against Washington.
Mr. Molson don't listen to the choice of the French media who all want Roy as GM.. We don't want another ex-Canadiens member, as GM, like we had with Bob Gainey. Capeesh!!!!

Rangers fan perspective, Rangers off to a 14-4 start chris drurys off season moves seem to be working, with all that, im jealous that the Montreal Canadians got jeff gorton, not sure why, ive seen GM’s come and go, but for some reason rangers fans had a connection with gorton, we always felt a sense of stability, control, he makes quality trades and was transparent, we knew exactly what direction we where heading throughout the rebuild. We trusted gorton, he left chris drury with quality players and cap space to make improvements. Id dont feel the same way with the rangers organization now, it might take some time. The Canadians have a bright future.
