The story revolves around "Descendants", individuals who possess mysterious powers and have become humanity's only hope against the hostile Vulgus, an invasive alien race. Boasting powerfully futuristic cyberpunk graphics using Unreal Engine 5, this feels like Destiny 3 on speed. The gameplay loop of clearing areas for loot like weapons and modules that enhance both the player abilities and guns, scraping old weapons and farming for new shiny legendary ones seems complex at first but quickly becomes intuitive with the very helpful tracking system implemented in game. This is a very grindy game, but with gameplay and graphics as smooth as sultry butter it’s all good in the hood.
As a free to play game the developers have placed fast character unlocks, cp boosters, upgrade materials and cosmetics behind pay walls but not guns and mostly everything except very special cosmetics can be earned in game. You could argue that this maybe kinda pay to win but I see it more as pay to save time and focusing on co-op play and having no PVP modes it doesn’t really matter. I wouldn’t really call this an MMO though as I’ve only ever seen a total of 4 players in any one area at any one time, but a fun 3rd person co-op looter shooter it definitely is.
With the current climate gaming IP’s being forced by woke overlords to censor beautiful female formsand push agendas like forced androgyny and ‘ethnic diversity’ on most western game developers, it’s safe to say this game feels a safe place and Korean company NEXON seem have the gamers best interest as well as their pockets in mind instead.
This game is cyberpunk as fuck and I really love the suits and graphics of later stages in the game. I’d happily welcome more futuristic co-op games like this and at the moment I’m addicted to this game. I can’t wait to see what new originally bodacious characters, stages and weapons they add next. My current favourite character being Sharen the cyber assassin (who would’ve guessed eh). 🥷🏽
