    I see alot of wet ground. Long term track alignment might be an issue without more ballast.

      You're right. We still have lots of spots with very little if any top ballast. It's coming.

    About the drive system on the trolley: The engine appears to be a four cylinder, water-cooled diesel. Based on what controls are visible, my guess is the final drive is hydraulic. Since there is no axle between the wheels, how many wheels are driven?
    BTW, great project!

      There are two hydraulic motors, each driving one wheel. So there are only two drive wheels of the eight total. Imagine one on the top left side of an H and one on the bottom right side of the same H. It's very odd but It works.

      Another way you can easily tell it's hydro drive is the massive hydraulic tank beside the diesel engine. Very nice video

    What's its power plant? 4 cyl Kubota?

      Both of our Hunslets have air cooled Deutz engines (4 cyl, I think).
