Colonoscopy is a piece of cake ... I've had two and no problems with the prep ... the test only takes a few minutes and you will be asleep ... you will be finished before you are even aware you fell asleep !!! DO THE COLONOSCOPY ... BOTH OF YOU !!!
The actual colonoscopy procedure is truly a piece of cake. Sadly, a friend ignored testing for years.. and NOW regrets that decision.. big time. A little inconvenience now can easily save a LOT of heartbreak and expense down the road.
Hey there: All of your videos, are a good source of interaction for sedentary seniors around the country. You’all’s banter with Jason’s frequent giggles, has a positive influence. It’s a Ministry you never possibly considered 🙏
Hey Brooke and Jason, I had a colonoscopy two years ago and you can drink Propel and it has several clear flavors that are really good. I had 8 polips which the surgeon removed and they were non cancerous thank the Lord. Now I have to have another one scheduled for March 25th. It's been two years and hopefully no more polips. When I had my first one I was scared to death because my husband had one done a long with a upper endoscopy in 2012 and he died the very next day. His heart gave out. I am not afraid now that I had the first one. To me the hardest part was drinking all that stuff. The surgery was the easy part. You lay on your side and they put you out, and you wake up, and it didn't even feel like I had had anything done. Mine went just fine. Just thought I'd share my experience 😊
I have had so many Died from just the test or almost die That they couldn't do it to me if I was DEAD! No Sir No Way.. Tell me I have colon cancer I say OK Thanks I knew that 18 years now just had a bleed day yesterday it will pass. But I am NOT dying that way..
Jason I had horrible tennis elbow. It was huge and stayed that way for a year. 2 weeks in a dealing it was decreased by half. 2 weeks later out was gone. ❤
Talking about popovers, y’all need to go to Lambert’s Restaurant, near Milton, Ala… they have trays of pop overs and will hand toss you one when you raise your hand. They are so soft and airy. It’s down home cooking,,, soooooooooo good. You 3 need to take a trip and try them out.
Fried chicken out of a cast iron pan is wonderful, it browns perfectly and is very crispy! You will not have any lye out of an electrolysis tank. Jason you have inspired me to finish building my e-tank!
Those pans were/are used in England to make Yorkshire puddings to go with Sunday roasts. Fill the empty center with gravy and oh my gosh they are so good.
Yorkshire puddings are made from eggs and flour there is nothing inside them no custard etc. I live in Yorkshire and we have them with our traditional Sunday dinner. With meat vegetables and gravy. Some people might have their Yorkshire pudding before their dinner as a starter with gravy. I have heard of people putting jam on them also but that's not something myself or my family have ever done. Yorkshire puddings are amazing we love them, you can't have Sunday dinner without them ❤
I had the shot twice, years and years ago. Worked great and didn't hurt if done by a professional. Neither of mine hurt. But there are exercises you can do to help fix that problem. I'm over 70 and haven't had any problem in over 30 years.
My husband just got over tennis elbow on his left also. Ironically I just started getting mine last week, but on My Right, we're both Right handed. I've got several antique pieces that have been in My family, that I'm wanting to restore.... A Rocking chair that was made in the 1890's, It was bought for My Great grandma originally.. an old tall wooden ashtray stand (I'm gonna use it for a plant stand) and a small wooden Table that used to have fold up sides, That had been not used for 40 years and is now been used quite a bit in my home.. (Although, I think it has lead paint on it, so I need to figure out how to get that stripped down) And Brooke, You'll do just fine! You got this!! Praying for good results!!
I had the cortisone injection twice in the elbow. It hurt, helped around 75%, and then had the surgery for it around 20 years ago. It's been great ever since. 😊
Husband had that procedure done and ate a McDees breakfast biscuit afterwards. Glad you are doing it! !! Sets a great example for MaryCarl that you care about your health & being there for her and each other!!
Jason, I had tennis elbow in both elbows. I could not make any improvement no matter what until I got cortisone shots in both elbows. I had been in so much pain the injections were not bad at all. I was then put in casts that could be taken off to bathe but was on light duty (I was a police officer for 32 yrs) for 6 weeks. At the end I was good to go finally and returned to full duty. The shots were well worth the pain. By the way the problem all began with an on duty accident where I broke my right wrist-I over used my left arm and got tennis elbow then as my wrist healed I developed tennis elbow in that arm. What a chain of events which made me very unpopular at my precinct in Phoenix, Arizona…luckily at 75 I’ve never had another issue with my elbows, arthritis everywhere else, but not in my elbows! I adore both of you, and all of your wonderful animals and activities. Stay warm!❤ Brooke, Good luck with your procedure, I’ve had 3 and was thankful for the good nap and life saving efforts by my doctor! (Jason, don’t be foolish, be thorough and get the whole test. Saves time and possibly your life.)❤❤
@ 47:00 Y'all had me laughing so hard talking about the static shocks! My sister and I would flip our long dry hair forward with it hanging down loose and brush real fast in the dark and watch the sparks and hear the static crackle! This was in the 1950s and 60s where we had very dry heat vented throughout the house in Virginia during long brutal winters. Brooke, your shirt makes me see sweet baby Mildred ❤
I love pop overs. There was a restaurant at the Jersey shore and everyone got fresh made pop overs with their meal. Thanks for the memories!😊❤ I fried pork chops in my cast iron pan. They were so good!😊
My husband had the same elbow problem. His Doctor gave him a shot of Novacain in his elbow first then he injected the Cortisone in his elbow. His Doctor was an Orthopedic Surgeon. He said that is the only way he gives Cortisone injections because they are so painful! Maybe a suggestion to your Doctor?😊
Had a big shot of cortisone once in my knee. No novacaine. I came up cussing. Was so embarrassed in front of Dr. He said your allowed young lady, was in my 20s. Worst pain I ever had...
Sorry to hear about all the pain. Cortisone isn't fun no matter where you put it. I have been diagnosed with a torn meniscus and because of covid couldn't get surgery so I started using a product Biofreeze to relieve the pain 9weeks later my Dr was surprised it had healed. So now I have a very sore shoulder waiting another 6wks for tests so back to Biofreeze and the pain is almost gone. Good luck with your pain adventure!
There are so many recipes for pop overs on Pinterest. There is a blackberry recipe and a cinnamon sugar recipe that looks amazing. Greetings from Southeastern Kentucky.
You’ll be fine w/the colonoscopy. Glad you are getting it done. I was 48 & diagnosed w/Stage 3 colon cancer. 21 years later, all’s good👍🥰Back in 2003, it was said to have test at age 50. I am happy it has changed to an earlier age.👍I do have to retest every 5 years, this is my year again. I agree, the drink is NOT FUN!! But it’s all necessary!! Good luck🥰
I used yellow gatorade for colonoscopy. I found the new prep much easier then the the old ones. The other way to check with box picks up any blood so people that have any cuts, hemorrhoids etc can have bleeding so test comes out positive and colonoscopy is done anyway.
Learn something new all the time. I worked for Fisher Price/Mattel (way back in the day before they left the US) and when an injection mold opened for the toy part to come out we had to trim the "gate" from where it came out of the mold. Interesting that cast iron can have gates too.
My mom use to make popover years ago on Sundays after church. She used a mix from Jiffy baking mixes but I don't think they make it any longer. There are other popover mixes though. If I remember right they took quite a while to bake. I love them warm with butter or homemade jam but I've also opened them up and filled them with pudding. We've filled them with pot pie filling as well once they were aked and cooled. Just yummy!
Popovers: 1 cup flour, 1 cup milk, 2 eggs, 1/4 tsp salt. Wisk together. Put in greased popover pan. Put in cold oven 425 degrees 28-30 minutes. Just made them this mourning.
Yes it makes sense about non dominant hand. Im right handed and when I lift weights, I was wondering why I was stronger in left hand. Ttrainer told me that we hold things in left so we can use right to open door, etc.
I hope your test turns out fine. I just had my cataracts removed on my left eye so I'm healing from that. Our low last night was 8 degrees. I shocked both my kids at the same time when they were younger. It was so funny. Sparks were flying.
I love the reality of a Central shipping local. Plus.. Yes! To the calendar. I still keep the one from two years ago. The Cog Hill Store is quite amazing!!!
I get the shots in my knee, shoulder, neck, and hands, but I've had tennis elbow in both elbow from walking in crutches since the early 90's from disabilities I got in the service. I've had surgical radial tunnel releases and havnt had elbow pain since, and I still walk on crutches all these years.
Many medical personnel have different rules about Colonoscopy preps. Unfortunately I've had lots. I have Inflammatory Bowel Disease. It's very important to have those checkups.
My Mom made popovers with roast beef. She has been deceased 60 years so I haven't had them in a long time, i cup flour,1/4 teaspoon of salt, 7/7 cup [f milk, 2 eggs. and 1/2 teaspoon melted butter Mix salt & flour, add milk gradually to make smoth batter add butter, Beat eggs until light and add to mixturer Mix ,then beat 2 minutes with beater, Turn into hissing hot buttered iron gem pans. Bake 30 to 35 minutes begining in hot oven 450 F and gradually decreasing gradually to 35o degreeF as popovers start to brown Take out when golden brown Recipe is from my Great Aunts Fannie Merritt Farmers cooking book that is tattered and tapped together. Aged!
I have the same issues with both of my elbows. I’m a pet groomer so need my arms! I’ve had the cortisone shots in both of them and yes, they hurt like he77, but so worth it. The only medication that helps is Mobic.
I.m with you Miss Brooke i am old school. As well i am not computer savvy . I d weather do things the old way. I can use my phone but theres lots i dont know about these phones. But at least i can do some things. Love you all. I look forward to seeing your videos podcast and live video.
For wax melt if you have electric baseboard heaters get a old candle motive and place the wax melt in and place it on your heater. They let off smell every timer the heater comes on but the wax melts last longer.
Glad you are getting the procedure. I put mine off when the doc said to get it. By the time I had mine done the polapse showed I had colon cancer. Had to have surgery to remove part of the large intestain t , then chemo and rediation, take the test at once because it is best to find problems right way!! If I had had it done when the doctor told me to I would have avoided a lot of trouble and problems., but at least I lived rather than died of cancer Colonoscopy is a anoyance but LIFE saver!!
Voltarin Cream for the tennis elbow. My husband had the surgery for that years ago. He hasn’t had any problems with it since. Ibuprofen can cause stomach bleeding too. I had a cortisone shot in my shoulder. It made the pain way worse and I couldn’t move it as much.
I would guess it was for Yorkshire pudding popovers! lol! I guess right!!!🥰❤️🙏🏻🇨🇦🍁 You make it to go with roast beef and gravy! You have to have a good brown gravy to go with it. You need to use bacon grease and you have it inside the cups and then get it blistering hot and then pour your cold batter in and then let it cook in the hot oven. No there isn’t any custard in the middle it’s hollow on the inside if it’s cooked correctly it’s sorta like a hollow biscuit. I made it once and used a cupcake pan but had to put a sheet pan underneath because the bacon grease can go up the sides and over the top and my aunt and uncle and dad who are in their late 70’s and early 80’s absolutely loved the Yorkshire pudding but to me I was like so basically it’s a thin bread to eat gravy with and they all laughed and said YES! It was made when potatoes weren’t available but they would always have flour and baking powder and lard and bacon grease.
Brooke, I call the desire to avoid computers being computer blind. I prefer more tactile and visual as well as olfactory with the scent of the paper in the card systems snd books.
Jason, I have had cortisone shots in my right wrist. The doctor had me lay down while he administered the shot and his assistant shoved my legs up over my body. It was bad. I think he thought I would pass out from the shot
You should be able to witch a well Jason. My dad and I are so very shocky!! We can both witch a well, mom and my brother are not and they cannot witch a well. You have positive energy!
After your procedure, you will be fine. Just don't eat anything too greasy. Chick-fil-a will be fine. Good luck. It will also be a good sleep for you. Definitely use the straw to drink it....and stay close to the BR.
Sounds like a cream puff filled with vanilla and/or chocolate custard. I have a recipe that I tried many, many years ago. I am looking for it now with hopes I can find it.
Praying for your test. I've had 4 of them. I have them every year now. Best sleep I get. I drink broth and sprite. You can do this. Also, i have a Chinese restaurant that will strain their soup for me so its just broth. So yummy.
I had to have em in my elbo and it hurts Soooooo Bad. I had to do it twice because my elbo was froze up, 8 weeks of physical therapy it finally returned to normal.
Hi Brooke and Jason, The absolute worst part of a colonoscopy is what I had to drink before the test( the prep). It is okay if you have polyps as long as they are benign. The doctor will snip out the polyps. Mine were benign ( thank the good Lord). Right now, ( at more than 70 years old) I am recovering from a total right knee replacement. In 1 day it will be 1 year since I had it. It has been a JOURNEY!!! However, I am doing something right ( health wise) I gave up alcohol 36 years ago and nicotine 14 years ago. To date, I have outlived my father, my mother and 1 of my 2 brothers. However, the Lord makes em and he takes em.
I have had two tests that I past with flying colors. Both I didn’t have to go back for 10 years. I have about 8 years before I have to have another. I fell and broke my elbow in 2017. I has surgery on it. I had to wear a brace for quite a few weeks. I have not had any trouble with it.
Tennis elbow for a long time. Had some unrelated surgery that kept me laid up for six weeks recovery. Did not use my elbow for that six weeks, and the pain went away completely!!
Hello y'all from NW Arkansas. We had a high of 48° . Thank you for going over your items for sale. I would love a calendar 🗓️, you all have a wonderful week.🙏🏻🫂♾️💕
Peaches and Pocket are older ladies, and don't want to put up with the kids rambunctious, loud horseing around. The ladies like their peace and quiet !
After those Senate conformation hearings, I need some positive input! Thanks
Praying for Brooks test and that everything will be good and Jason with his tennis elbow that is so painful as I suffer with that too
Colonoscopy is a piece of cake ... I've had two and no problems with the prep ... the test only takes a few minutes and you will be asleep ... you will be finished before you are even aware you fell asleep !!! DO THE COLONOSCOPY ... BOTH OF YOU !!!

I am so happy for Peaches .... that she is active, and has a companion 😊
Brooke, best of luck with the prep for the colonoscopy. The test is no problem. I want to see the pictures you have colored while waiting, Jason.
I think that Peach and Pookie being both elegant elderly ladies of the south is a strong bond for the two. ❤

I loved the segment on you meeting a follower at the Library!!!God moves in wonderful ways!!!❤❤
I missed your video. I am watching 👀 on catch-up! ❤
❤watching the replay ❤
Have a blessed Tuesday
Talking about popovers, y’all need to go to Lambert’s Restaurant, near Milton, Ala… they have trays of pop overs and will hand toss you one when you raise your hand. They are so soft and airy. It’s down home cooking,,, soooooooooo good. You 3 need to take a trip and try them out.

Jason made me spit my coffee out!!! LISTEN JASON... Forget the Box.. LISTEN to Brooke.. just DO the Colonoscopy Test. You be GOOD Now!!! ❤️ ❤️ 😻
That was so kind of your viewer to send that cast iron to you. What an awesome find. 1800’s cast iron in wonderful condition.
I was GI nurse for years. You can have yellow and green liquids or jello. You can have sweetener but no milk or creamer in your coffee.
I had the cortisone injection twice in the elbow. It hurt, helped around 75%, and then had the surgery for it around 20 years ago. It's been great ever since. 😊
Oh delicious! Yorkshire pudding was part of post church Sunday dinner in my house. Mom served it with roast beef.
Consolidation of your products best idea ever !!!
Husband had that procedure done and ate a McDees breakfast biscuit afterwards. Glad you are doing it! !! Sets a great example for MaryCarl that you care about your health & being there for her and each other!!
Yeah one shop stop and shipping!👍🏽thank you!

I'm so happy you had it done!
Chick fil a should be okey. I had Micky d break fast. Then went home and took a nap.
I get them in my knee and shoulder😅 they hurt a little , but helps take the pain away for awhile, you can get them every 3 months.❤

Hi Cog Hill from Arroyo Grande, CA🏖️
Popovers don't have to have just custards. The possibilities are unbelievable.
Goid luck , Brooke❤
Popovers are great. We had them every Sunday morning growing up❤
I hope your test turns out fine. I just had my cataracts removed on my left eye so I'm healing from that. Our low last night was 8 degrees. I shocked both my kids at the same time when they were younger. It was so funny. Sparks were flying.

Awesome!!!!! 🤗☃️❤️👍🙋🏻♀️
You get a tattoo during your colonoscopy if you have a polyp. A tat is placed over polyp site once it is removed.
Love your shirt Brooke.

Brooke, I call the desire to avoid computers being computer blind. I prefer more tactile and visual as well as olfactory with the scent of the paper in the card systems snd books.
Hope the test went well Brook. 😊❤
Jason, I have had cortisone shots in my right wrist. The doctor had me lay down while he administered the shot and his assistant shoved my legs up over my body. It was bad. I think he thought I would pass out from the shot
Jason, I'm sure you can build up enough static electricity to show Brooke. It really does make a spark when you shock someone like that.🌩🤣😜🥰

When camping, we would soap the ouside of our cast iron when using over open flame for ease of cleaning.
Hi Brooke and Jason,
The absolute worst part of a colonoscopy is what I had to drink before the test( the prep). However, the
Lord makes em and he takes em.
I know the journey, had both knees replaced (2017 & 2018) you won’t regret it 🥰
hello from orange,texas
I have had two tests that I past with flying colors. Both I didn’t have to go back for 10 years. I have about 8 years before I have to have another. I fell and broke my elbow in 2017. I has surgery on it. I had to wear a brace for quite a few weeks. I have not had any trouble with it.
Tennis elbow for a long time. Had some unrelated surgery that kept me laid up for six weeks recovery. Did not use my elbow for that six weeks, and the pain went away completely!!
Yes twice didn't hurt that bad but different drs make a difference. Same with nurses
Hello y'all from NW Arkansas. We had a high of 48° .

Peaches and Pocket are older ladies, and don't want to put up with the kids rambunctious, loud horseing around. The ladies like their peace and quiet !
You will be just fine. It is a very light sedative. Eat light. Save yourself any problems.
Good luck tomorrow, Brooke❤
Aloha 🌺 I used to work at a Restaurant that was called Caturbury Place. We used serve Pop Overs with Roast Beef. 🌺🥰♥️
The meds they gave me didn’t last after the appointment. I was awake & ate anything I was hungry for. Hope it goes well for you!
