Love the tipped ear that indicates this kitty was a rescue that could have ended up outdoors and living a short life. Very sweet the way the kitty is a part of everything. You three are very cute.

I love your videos. My mom married my step father when I was little. She and Italian American from NY and he an Italian immigrant. You guys remind me so much of them. He would cook these amazing Italian dishes, and always get aggravated by garbage American food. lol my mom was also an amazing baker and would always make breads and cakes. And we also had cats growing up and my stepfather would be arguing with the cat in Italian while he was cooking and then make the cat their own dish. lol thank you for letting me remember that. Ciao.

@@shellytriantis814 Anytime I fall asleep watching tv at my Mom's and end up taking a nap, her black cat, Cary Grant, comes and sleeps with me lol. He LOVES to talk and play and is a total goof. Idk how ANYONE COULD think black cats or dogs are bad luck! In many cultures they're extra lucky! Did you know black cats are either red or blue toned? When they lay in the sunlight, you can look through their hair at the sun, and you'll see either red or blue.
My cats understand when I'm referring to them in Spanish and they know what chicken and milk is in Spanish

I think it's pretty cool that the both of them are simply dressed in casual everyday clothes, as opposed to when the "dress up" for the other videos they make (no insult intended, it's just that the way you're dressed in this video makes one feel you're just hanging out just chillin' and vibin').

I would love more of these cooking / food videos for the seasons. I actually have heritage from Friuli - from my great grandparents, but don’t really know the foods! Love watching this ♥️
The pumpkin/potatoes soup is also a favorite in our home. You can put a bit ginger in it, make crotons from old bread or even put some pumpkin seeds in it. Yum!
I got called weird for putting tuna in pasta with tomato sauce. Glad to see an actual Italian who likes it!

My husband was Italian and his mother made tuna spaghetti. Like Jesse I turned my nose up. But I ultimately fell in love with it. She cooked her sauce for a long time as she did all her sauce. I really couldn’t tell there was tuna in the sauce.

Beautiful sourdough, Jessi. And your steaks look delicious, Alessio. I can't get over how much olive oil is drizzled over practically everything. Using olive oil as a condiment makes me understand better how important is its taste.
For me the portions look really small (like pasta pomodoro for example). I guess you need the calories of the oil to feel satisfied.
@@Rauppie Those are avarage portions in Italy. Olive oil is good and healty, that's why we put it everywhere. :)

In Austria, we traditionally serve the pumpkin soupe with pumpkin-seed-oil on top, but next time I'll try it with parmigiano and olive oil. 😃❤️

My dad was stationed at “AVIANO” 4 years! Listening to Alessio speak Italian & seeing the food brings back sooo many memories. I can even smell the memories.😁 I was young, but will never forget the time we spent there. “Thank you” for bringing back even more great memories… 🇮🇹
I remember that Aur base. We were stationed south in Vicenza at the Army base. We took a bus up to Aviano to the PX because ours caught on fire. Beautiful area with lots of wonderful memories.
@@sherrispence3135 when we where there the 11th & 12th grades went to school in Vicenza, because AVIANO only had up to 10th grade. They would leave on Sunday on a bus stay in the dorm all week & come back to Aviano on Friday. My brother graduated from Vicenza. Their graduation ceremony was held in the “Teatro Olimpico.” I have a lot of great memories from Italy.💜

I know a very old tomatoe-sauce recipe from Rome, which is very delicious:
- one can of chopped tomatoes,
- a whole, peeled onion,
- 100 grams of butter
Let it cook for 30 minutes, remove the whole onion, complete.
Bon appetit.

I had something like that years ago for my cat she liked to go out side when I was at work and we didn't want her to run away you are great cat 🐈 parents.
They need to build her a catio. Growing up in the country where our cats roamed free that thing looks like cat torture to me. But I do understand having to keep her and the poor other little critters safe.
@@highjinx6519 I'm not sure where they live I think it's in the Midwest but I had mine in California that foreign country and our house was by the freeway and we didn't want it to get hurt at the same time we had 5 white ducks and someone shoot one of our ducks it cost us 8 hundred dollars to save it's life. We were angry. We came home one weekend and our neighbors had a cow skin hanging on our fence that we shared and the Husband told our 14 yr old daughter and her sister that they could kill and clean our ducks if we wanted them to. So it's not just other animals you have to worry about and this was in 1990 😂😂😂😂😂
