Have you guys tried the dawn reflex hydraulic up/down force? They run independent row control also but they have accumulators on each row to reduce the shock on the row units when hitting rocks and other hazards. This would essentially let the row unit move up or down while maintaining the downforce.
It seems that by the time the delta force system “senses” the difference of hitting a rock it’s already 3 feet past it.
