The silicone helps the louver structure to be more durable, and in general it fills the openings so I'm find with it. I promise when it's done it's going to look fabulous!
I modified my MS-490 rotors with 2 layers of gorilla tape so they would be closer to the stators, it’s significantly louder and it’s more raspy. Idk how the 290 rotors are but If you can you should try to do that on it. Just a suggestion
Nice! But I would also recommend doing the sylicone from the inside so it’s less noticeable. I did that on my 490 housing
