- Music from a great game, Rise of the Triad, made by Apogee. I could say that the music is better than the game ^^
Dunno why, but this music sounds like 'adagio G Minor' NOT 'adagio for strings', however the name stays the same according to the game :P
If you wanna get really technical, it's composed by Remo Giazotto, based on a fragment of a Tomaso Albinoni composition, with this arrangement by Lee Jackson (which was actually the first version of it I ever heard, not finding the original until many years later). So it's generally credited to Albinoni.
Yea who knows what really happened with all that. Just glad the music exists. This is a great version of it.
🤓
This is actually based on classical piece by Tomaso Albinoni, arranged by Lee Jackson who did most of the music in RoTT. Prince only created Gazz, Excalibur and Work Day.
Bobby Prince was actually credited for 6 songs i believe, but Lee had the better songs by far on the soundtrack
@@bennwardhaugh3013 Hellero is a pretty awesome boss theme though and I just love how Boss Blow sounds
@@Kyezoar They're both good shouts, but for me they're not quite on the levels of Going down the Fast Way, Havana Smooth or Deadly Gentlemen
Bobby prince also do the main theme menu called “Rise” and also”Here boy”
...I was not sure as I pressed that switch if I was descending into Hell... or if I already was in hell...
But one thing was for sure... a hard fight was ahead of me.
In all seriousness heard this in Hell Revealed. It fit Map 31 so well
I had no idea this is a version of an existing composition. It was long my favorite track in the game. Hearing the original for the first time now, I still really love this version too.
I woke up with the ROTT music in my head. I had been dreaming it. And then I found this channel. Thanks for posting, I would have gone nuts otherwise!
The guy in the background... how comes his hands are teleporting?
Impossible
Looks like an annoying-ass Deathfire Monk
That's a Deathfire Monk. His hands are covered in magical lube because he's about to double-fist fuck your colon into oblivion.
He's using the Banishment Device as a spell.
This is my favorite baroque piece. I'm a huge fan of Yngwie Malmsteen who used this same piece in 1984 for the intro to Icarus Dream Suite Op. 4, I'm absolutely blown away by this version. I can listen to just about any variation of this piece for hours!
The glow of his hands just happens to look like the glow produced by UAC teleportation technology.
And Big Fucking technology
This is Albinoni's Adagio in G Minor for Strings and Organ.
This game is condensed bad assery, and so's the Sound Track!
Lee Jackson is fucking amazing
Sounds like Castlevania
awesome music for a awesome game. some memories are coming back! like when i used to fight with friends because they say doom 2 was better and i say rott was better in everything (especially the music)
rott was better in music only lol
I don't get why MtPain27 hates this.
Me neither, this is my favourite ROTT song.
Prolly just salty at the map it was in xP
kinda feels like castlevania
Exactly, like something from Bloodlines or Rondo of Blood
@PiesliceProductions Indeed, it does sound like an Italian song to me.
lol thanks for the response...I've searched around in the past, but I haven't been able to find the "Dark War" port, and have instead only found the shareware, which is very limited in content. I suppose I'll keep searching, thanks again!
its like a sega genesis that ate a 36 oz steak
This is obviously from version 1.3 of the game... I always preferred version 1.2, as it was how the music was meant to be heard.
Thanks for uploading this, way awesome!
Absolutely totally friggin awesome.
*ludicrous
this was the tune I used to setup the p400x4 rockford fosgate into me car
@PiesliceProductions It's not by Albinoni, it's by Remo Giazotto.
This game is honestly not that special, but imo might have one of the greatest midi soundtracks OAT
@packrat79 You mean they changedvthe composition (of instruments)? Can you please either explain or post a vid showing the difference? I just don't quite understand what you're talking about - Or is it something just related to the Apogee Music System, that they tweaked it to sound like, say, the AdLib's lead synth?
Brilliant Tune!
But it doesn't sound like a fps tune. More like something out a metroidvania game.
Not that i mind :D
ROTT as a Metroidvania sounds like a neat concept, ngl.
WinROTT is brilliant. I highly recommend it. I never got to play anyone online when I first got this game in 1995. And still haven't. I want to still!
Did they ever port ROTT to Windows?...I'd like to find it, seems more practical. I owned the DOS version ages ago, but have since lost it. =\
I know your comment is eleven years old, but... You know that GOG is a thing, right? You can get it there.
Sounds like a Doors song "Feast of Friends" to me a bit.
I can't!!
Manchester by the Sea brought me here - 2017 :)
Makes me wish I had more than the shareware version of this game as a kid.
The synth effects for the music were drastically changed in version 1.3, making many tracks sound quite poor.
@Nitz543 You can buy it on the 3D Realms website for 5.99 I think it is...it works on all current OS as if you had DOSBox :D
Bobby Prince is the best game musician, and this came from his hands. This is one of my fav ROTT musics.
god damn was the music in this game awesome
Fucking incredible.
This is fuckin cool!
Albinoni? Remo Giazotto made this piece.
Damn 😮….God Damn is all I have to say 😮👍
Ah-ha! Did not know that. Thanks.
rise of the triad juego lleno de gore
Howl's moving castle
I need this track in midi format. Where can I download it?
easy way how to play all dos games in windows is DOSBOX.
What do you mean?
Weather girls on drugs
oh weird
Juvenile ft Mannie Fresh In My Life Acapella version
Great piece, but not actually the same iconic piece from the RTS game Homeworld.
