Rick: People out there are always looking for an angle They measure you by what they can take from you. Rick: If they can’t make it then we’ll just take this place. Rick’s group IS the people out there They measured Deanna and Alexandria right away by what they can take from them The question is whether or not the people of Alexandria can prove themselves Love this episode.
The mental image of Carol spraying Daryl with a water hose like a pissed off German shepherd is killing me lol. Their relationship is my favorite in the series
Not being able to sleep and watching out the windows, the group isn’t ready to put their guards down and sees their new hosts are naive and complacent in this new world
I’ve been binge watching y’all for the past WEEEEKS and I’ve been waiting so long for yall to get to this point I love it so so so much and y’all are hilarious 😂😂
Comic Comparisons : In the comics Alexandria’s Leader is a man named Douglas rather than a woman Personally I think it being a woman is a nice change of pace from all the male leaders (aside from Dawn at the hospital)
Personally I loved this episode still do It reminds me of the farm days back in Season 2 Also Deanna adds a touch of class to the show kinda like Hershel did I just enjoy seeing some domestic every day living kind of stuff after all the cannibals and rapist cops and seeing how assimilating into a normal life is a new challenge.
This episode and the rest of Season fives episodes are all name sakes of Dale’s quote back in Season one at the Atlanta camp about time Rick adjusted his watch in acceptance of being in Alexandria The episodes from the quote I give you the mausoleum of all hope and desire which will fit your individual needs no better than it did mine or my fathers before me I give it to you not that you may REMEMBER time but that you may FORGET it for a moment now and then and not SPEND all of your breath TRYing to CONQUER it.
This Season is why Glenn is in my top five - especially this episode He’s grown so much and I love how much he stands up for himself now Back in Season one episode two he wanted to speak and trailed off but Rick told him to speak his mind so he did He doesn’t need prompting anymore and he stands up for both himself and everyone he cares about He doesn’t take a backseat anymore All the characters have grown but I think Glenn has grown more than most of them I know a lot of people say Daryl has grown probably the most (and in most situations I would definitely agree with that) but I think a lot of people also overlook the extent of Glenn’s growth Imagine him behaving like this in Season one For me it’s basically impossible If he did say what was on his mind it was often with uncertainty or hesitation He speaks right at people’s faces now and stands up straight He knows what he’s doing out there these boys don’t and he’s not afraid to say that that’s the case and he’s not humble about it because he knows how dangerous it can be to act like they did This episode in particular just really stands out to me because of Glenn and his growth as a whole really stands out to me IMO If you had to rank someone for MVP this episode I would definitely say that It’s Glenn.
Tara, Glenn and Noah being a unit in this episode gave me LIFE. 😭🙌 one of my favorite group dynamics in the entire franchise is easily season 5 and 6’s. Some of my favorite walking dead moments is when they stick up for each other, no matter WHERE they go make NO misfake, the OG groups members will ALWAYS be family and those binds are unbreakable. Ride or die for life haha 👊
You guys are so in lurve with this show - great to see! You get it all! I just love watching the micro reactions in the background - I'm afforded that luxury having seen the show umpteen times! Chandler Riggs is on point, throughout! Despite his growth spurt he is ALWAYS Carl! But so many others, too. It's so hard to see a bad performance coz so many bring their 'A' game! I just love this show so much and to see you guys enjoying it, too - BRILLIANT!
@Thescrantondude, it was forced. Everyone from the actor ( Andrew L) to the showrunner expressed that Rick wasn't in his right mind at the time. He was still dealing with the Lori's death and the guilt behind it and his anger and guilt over Shane's betrayal. As soon as he gets to Alexandria he immediately talks about how he and Lori always dreamed about living in a place like that. And we he meets Jessie's husband and him immediately feeling like he was a threat and him talking about Lori's death, he twist his wedding ring and has a crazy look in his eyes. That " relationship " was meant to show how unstable Rick was becoming.
The beginning of a whole new era. The worst death on the show was Ricks beard.
Huh....ugh i gotta shave this shit.
Against the grain kid

Carol’s innocent act is hilarious!!

But they didn’t. They needed a group like Ricks. Or else, they would’ve fallen

I love the ending cause it lets you know Rick is still on demon time
22:20 Cool fact: that Walker that Carl killed with the metal stick is Scott Ian rhythm guitarist from Thrash Metal band Anthrax🤘
Fun Fact: The walker that Tara ripped the skin off looks exactly like the one that killed Dale.
It was played by the same actor.
There was so many years in between those seasons, that I just noticed it yeah

Fun Fact: Norman Reedus has Rick’s beard in a plastic bag in his refrigerator.

Always loved Rick in that interview he just looks so badass man everything he’s been through all the people he’s lost and killed.
the beginning of Rick's Shane arc with that guy's wife
I burst out evil laughing for some reason when he said his last line in the end. Rick is a fkn LEGEND
I'll say it again 21:00 Andrew Lincoln has amazing face acting, especially in the last episode and future ones

You guys should play Telltale's The Walking Dead once you've finished the show.
Good idea
This✨🔥
Fun fact you can actually buy and live in one of those houses
"Here comes a really dark secret . . ." at 10:22 - yep - TEENAGERS !! AAAAUUUGGHH!!!

I knew yall were gonna thirst for the Rick scene lmao
I love the scene where Rick shaves, man is he SEXY! But no no don't cut those gorgeous curls
He is so ridiculously, stupidly sexy!!!🥵
I forgot how good rick looked with a Beard lol
He looks gorgeous with and without the beard, in my opinion.❤
I think Carl was with him when he put the gun there. The Walker that Carl killed was Scott Ian from Anthrax (he guest starred)
One of my favorite Rick lines of the series, we'll just take this place! Savage Rick still here!!
the haircut was it for me, he would look soo good without beard and with long hair
Exactly what i said. Like, damn!
“Who’s Deanna?” Abraham.
How long have you been out there.
Since The Beginning.
Carol is like a chameleon. She adapts. lol
Rick only takes power when it's required
In the comics. It’s flipped. It’s the husband who is in charge, Deana is just a side character with no speaking lines.
6:52 Yooo Shane parallel
I get so hype when yall upload
Rewatching these and seeing a baby Enid 🥺 and Enid and Carl meeting for the first time 🥹
Darrell is literally the epitome of ride or die
No one ever suspects the pta mom ~ carol 😅
Rick is on demon time right now
Rip murder beard rick. And welcome back Giga Chin Rick
rick unlocked the season 1 skin from the battlepass hahaha
New era
Can wait for this reaction
Hated how they forced Rick and Jessie together
Lmao just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's "forced"
Not everything has to be fan service
