What year is your car? Do you have middle silencer but no rear muffler? Sounds amazing, best exhaust sound I heard on the 208 GTI!

mz21 hi, it's 2013. Thanks very much! Yes it still has centre silencer, just a BackBox delete!

are you still satisfied with it after one year or did it get too annoying/too loud for long trips? Did you weld the pipe or used some clamps to connect the pipe? I would like this mod to be reversible. Thanks!

mz21 oh yes, very much so! it can be as loud or as quiet as you like, depending on how you drive it! if you plant your foot it will road, but if you're just cruising along it is nearly as quiet as stock! the BackBox needs to be cut off. the tips are then just clamped on. the BackBox could be clamped back on again if I wanted to go back to stock.

it's literally just some red vinyl tape stuck on! makes such a difference though!

Is it loud inside now? When you drive with the speed 120-140 the noise is problem?

Krzysztof Komuda not at all. I wanted an exhaust to sound good under acceleration and to be quiet on long drives.

The turbocharger is safe? I read somewhere that without backbox low pressure in exhaust can destroye turbocharger.

komos22 this is not true. If anything, it will be easier on the turbo. There is also still the middle silencer and cat in place, so there is still plenty of back pressure. People run turbo cars with a straight through exhaust from the turbo without any problems.

Can you tell how long you drive without backbox? Do you have bigger oil consupcion that before exhaust changes?

Hi, yes this is simply the removal of the BackBox and a straight pipe to a tip! great sound for something so simple!
