"Down Under Mike" ...
Well done Mr. Love the pattern Barry. Great tutorial. It´s so nice to se you making sbs tutorials again. All the best, Eivind Berulfsen.
Hi Eivind, thanks, yes i am making one per day now so many more to come. We'll have to try and get together before winter sets in and do some sea trout fishing...
Nice one and a bit of a change too. I like the way you utilized alternative materials when you can. Anything bought from a tackle dealer always attracts a higher price!
Love it, and the shrimp! Please can you link a supplier for the tube, I can't find it!
G'day mate that's a gorgeous little lure very very nice
It really works i try one at pismo beach and I caught a big flounders fish. thank again. Nice teaching nd good videos ata lo mavater
So awesome
Damn nice pattern that would slay the stripers when the sandeels are around nice vid I'm gona give it a try thanks for sharing
Thanks Bruce, if you have not seen it you should also try this simple pattern that has worked really well for me ua-cam.com/video/RUoXrz_fOF8/v-deo.html
Tremendo tremendo diseños muy hermosos no dejaré de verlos y pondré en práctica los mismo
Sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an Instagram account..?
I somehow forgot my account password. I love any tips you can give me
@Joel Ricky I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm in the hacking process now.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Joel Ricky It did the trick and I now got access to my account again. Im so happy:D
Thanks so much, you saved my account :D
I can tell you this Mr BOC you must be THE most innovative effective fly tyer on the web . The end result after the colouring totally completes the creation, totally .I wonder if this would work in a freshwater lake after trout although I doubt it as i have never seen a eel sand or otherwise in any Welsh lake
There is a floating version (with foam cylinder inserted in a wider but shorter version of the same tubing)tied in smelt colors used for salmon in the Penobscot River in Maine, USA. Brook trout will also take it.
@@FlyTyer1948 Yeah thats right, you can also put a few strips of lead wire in the body, I have even tied them with free rolling brass beads in the body, so it not only ads weight but also rattles.
nice good job
What size of e-z body tubing did you use in your sand eel video and how do you specfy the option with lateral lines ?
very nice fly..i have yet to salt water fly fish... but in a hour drive ish..i can get to pt. reyes, and bodega bay to try it
Theres a very nice pike fry pattern in there somewhere!
nice mate, ill be making those to make mackerel feathers this year ... also gonna try them on sea bass .....
Nice
ya know back about 50 years ago I use to think i tied my own flies for several years and got fairly good at it.. but after watching some of your patterns I am thinking what I did was tie up feathers on hooks and caught the fish as they were laughing themselves to tears just by accident.. thanks Barry.. do you sell your flies.. I would love to have one of those.. carry on your great.. I appreciate your talent immensely..
@@Thefeatherbender I am sure it has.. but look at all the fun you have had on your journey through life? Keep enjoying it all.. and thanks for sharing some of it.
Excelente Video, me gustaría probar su Mosca en Lenguados en Chile, saludos
Excellent pattern - cannot wait to try it in Maine USA for stripers. In the very last part of the video, it appears you added a thin black line along the side before adding the green on the topside. Do you have any suggestions on how to did the black line and got it to be so even and yet solid (in one of your usual clever ways I assume)?
Hi Bob, there is a thin side line of thread woven into the E-Z Body tube so when you run a marker over it you get the perfect line.
Класс! Но я бы еще добавил один крючек меньшего номера на поводочке и направленым жалом в верх. Зацепистось повысится и будет меньше пустых поклевок.
Barry, been trying to locate some easy buddy tubbing to tye some for mackrel fishing
looks a great sand eel to tye and simple !! have you any link or company were i can obtain some tubing and the size,
Cheers
Barry
E Z tube on its way new problem cannot find any small eyes 3/4/5/6/ mm only way too large were can i obtain some smaller ones for the fly. cheers Barry
Hi Barry, you make it look so easy. Just wondering where you get 1.5mm tape eyes from as I can't seem to find them. Also you use UV resin, would the Sally Hansen hard as nails work? Many thanks
Hi, Thanks. The tape eyes came from Hareline dubbing many years ago, but I guess they still have them. Yeah, it would work but you will have to wait for it to dry.
Great pattern! Where can i get the body material? Thanks fore sharing wideos
Hei Bent og takk, du kan kjøpe E-Z Body på nette fra www.e-zbody.com
Qué recina usa saludos México
My boyfriend and I love your videos! You're a huge inspiration for his ties. If you don't mind me asking what do you use to shoot your videos? I know that you use professional gear. Always curious haha 😄
Hi Jess, thanks so pleased that you are enjoying them. I use a Canon Eos1D Mk VI for all my filming and various studio lighting, four lights in all and a nuetural grey background that I colour with gel filters over the background light. Hope this helps...
What type of electric cable would have this tube in it? Would have a link? As I find the Ez tubes from shop a bit to stiff and would lijstvolgorde try these ones, if you could advise where I can get this armouring would be great. Thanks in advance Barry
Sorry I can't help with that, but you can order E-Z body from here: www.e-zbody.com
Hi Barry, great videos!! Where can one purchase the eazi body tubing?
Where do you buy your body sleeve (the reinforced armor for electric cable)?
Hi Hunter, The tubing is called E-Z Body, maybe you can find your nearest dealer hear: @t
Love your channel and just subbed. Do you by chance use any breathing protection from the UV resin?
@@Thefeatherbender thank you for your response. Really enjoying your channel.
Nice.. want to make some... what exactly is that tubing material and the brand ?
Why the uv light is used? What exactly does it do?
Hi Sotiris, the UV light cures the UV resin its like Epoxy but it dries when exposed to UV light.
Kullanılan malzemeyi nasıl sipariş edebiliriz?
Nice pattern! But the tail on the opening picture is a little more fishie! 🧐
Hi Lars, hats just another tail technique with hot glue, you can see how to make it here. ua-cam.com/video/aAZDqwMDrpI/v-deo.html
Great pattern! Thank you. But where do I get the tubing?
Hi Tom, thanks, www.e-zbody.com you should find your nearest dealer hear.
Me gustaría tener axeso por lo menos para hacer uno con mis manos creo q no es tan complicado
Can you please tell me the exact name of that tubing I would like to buy that I cannot find it on the internet anywhere
Hi, the tubing is marketed under the name E-Z Body and can be found online.
What’s the tubing again? &n where can it be bought?
Hi Earl, The tubing is called E-Z Body, maybe you can find your nearest dealer hear: www.e-zbody.com/find-our-products.html
What diameter is the piping ?
Hi Jason, not sure I guess about 3 or 4 mm they have so many sizes from micro to jumbo but you can find them all on: wwwE-Z body .com
What's the action of this in the water?
Hi Azballa, it darts with a short jerky retreive like a real sand eel.
@@Thefeatherbender can you please upload underwater footage of how it swims?
Better with a paddle tail far better movement.
The thumbnail pic has a differnt tail 😉
Hi Markus, yes that one is made exactly the same way but then covered in melt glue!
Thats an insane technique. Thank you my good man
Thanks Ben, and it works just great!
