I cannot believe how the cast controlled their tears. To them it was not just Deirdre barlows funeral, it was also reliving Anne kirkbrides. The cast did the acting so well. The episode will not be forgotten.

If they had played Aretha Franklin's Version of Bridge Over Troubled Waters, they're would have been some serious sobbing in that church. Her Father Reverend CL Franklin also did the Eulogy for Florence Ballard Of The Supremes 1943-1976. On US Soaps whenever a Character dies, a Black Person Sings and it gets to be too much for some of the characters sometimes.

Now The US is heartbroken over The Death of Kristoff St. John who played Neil Winters on The Young & The Restless from 1991-2019 who was the Longest Running Black Actor not only on the Show but on US Soaps. Only James Reynolds who played Abe Carver on Days Of Our Lives has acted longer although he took time off to play Henry Marshall on another Soap Opera called Generations. Kristoff in his own way kicked the door for so many Black Actors on US Soaps many of which said "Were It Not For Neil, I wouldn't be able to do what I do."

Another Sad Funeral was when Frances "Fra" Heflin died who played Mona Tyler on All My Children. Susan Lucci who played Erica was very close to her and when they put her coffin in the grave Erica screamed and cried and pleaded for her to be let out so she could breathe properly.

Maybe Chris Gascoyne had another Job to do and couldn't make it. It happens sometimes. When a Family Member "Dies" on A Soap sometimes "Family" Members can't come home. Also when a Real Life Actor/Actress dies on A Soap they have to ask permission from the Family to acknowledge their death on the show. An excellent example was when Jeanne Cooper died who was the only original cast member from The Young & The Restless who played Katherine Chancellor.
