- The Ukrainian military said it had forced Russian troops to reduce the tempo of their offensive in Kharkiv region’s north on May 16. Kyiv’s military said its forces continued combat in the northern part of the city of Vovchansk, and had “partially stabilised the situation.” “The advance of the enemy in certain zones and localities has been halted," Ukrainian army spokesman Nazar Voloshin said. "But the enemy is still trying to create the conditions for further advances," Voloshin warned.
Ukraine's General Staff said its forces had "significantly reduced the activity of the Russian occupiers." Officials in Kharkiv said Russian strikes killed one person and damaged a five-storey building and cars overnight.

Two patriots systems is NOT going to stop the Russians at this point. The same with F16s as well. Ukraine has suffer too many losses and barely even have reserves. The Russians have also found ways around the Patriots system and have shown how they can destroy them with their FABs and FPV drones.

There are only 3 systems in Ukraine. They have a lot of country to defend. It is funny Russia claims to have destroyed them, but somehow it keeps shooting down Russian jets
thus far a total of 2 Patriot Transport, Erector Launchers have been destroyed, a grand total of zero Patriot systems have been destroyed.
A Patriot system is composed of the fire control section with 4 modules, each on a separate trailer and 5-8 or more launch vehicles.
To date, only 2 launch vehicles have been lost and all 3 Patriot batteries are functioning

Zelensky says all he needs are two Patriot systems? I think he needs a hell of a lot more than that, like a brand new army and about $800 billion in new NATO weapons (I notice $160 billion didn't make a difference). If he receives that, then that may turn the tide.

Russia has on the battlefield cca 500000 troops who fought over one year. In war we call them battle hardened veterans with experience and quality leadership.
