About Dead End Hip Hop:
No scripts. It's pure unfiltered hip hop conversations and album reviews. No politics. No BS. We Are The People.
The Alchemist has had the craziest 3 year run I've ever seen in hiphop. The amount of whole albums, mixtapes, and EPs he has produced in that time span is ridiculous.
And none of them sound the same.
And they’re all different and amazing
Alch is the goat let’s just be real
Remember he has still has the Schoolboy album in the tuck
Lulu is a masterpiece
Ken was saying "Manger" correctly and yall gave him the buzzer 🤣
looool
I was just about to say😂😂😂 B probably edited this one😂😂😂
also, the album is called Manger on McNichols, not "manager"
Kinge was actually right for once lol
LOL
havent stopped playing this album since it came out. this would be the perfect album to suggest to somebody who wants to know to what the current underground rap scene looks like rn
This shit is so fire
Is Thebe underground?
@@PerocDisgusting yes & no. Yes because the sound is so much different than mainstream but no because he is well known
I’ve just started getting further into it after listening to Price of Tea in China the past few weeks and didn’t know this album was coming. Both are incredible projects, keen to find more like this if you guys have any recommendations?
@@robbie4d46 tana talk 3, supreme blientele, pray for paris, reasonable drought, the plugs I met, LULU
There's a video of Alchemist making the album cover by hand... he was cutting up various Bo Jackson cards, the most expensive of which cost $1,000 apparently lol SMH They put so much craft into this... Great project.
That video really made me realize Alchemist a GOAT, like how do you even have the creative vision to know that would look dope?
crazy to think that they could've just as easily did some photoshop work and it would have the same effect, just goes to show the craftsmanship of the Alchemist.
He posted on Twitter his idea was skinny fries 😂
@@junebabyLV Alchemist is an absolute beast on the production he gives a whole different variety of beats for the artist and it goes to show how much dedication and craftsmanship he further exemplifies.
Where I can find this video at?
Been playing this nonstop since it's dropped. Alchemist definitely on Dilla's and Madlib's level.
He's dope but don't know about all that
@@MrGangstNerd He's been killing it since the late 90s. His consistency is unmatched, MUGGS the only one keeping up with him.
@@MrGangstNerd I dont think he has Dolla beat but he's much more consistent than Madlib
He's not on Madlib or Dilla's level. Has he made a Madvillainy or a Donuts? Those guys are icons. ALC is dope tho
@@MrGangstNerd Alfredo up there with em. I can see Bo Jackson being up there too.
Myke, from what I know of you, you are going to absolutely kick yourself for not checking out Manger earlier. Prioritize that ASAP
some of the lines in freddie’s feature had me dying
he’s like that uncle everyone has in their family who they love…but after a few drinks he starts saying outlandish shit lol
Micheal Jackson ain't dead he live in my guest house
Freddie had quotables on quotables on that verse lol
Manger on McNichols is AMAZING. My Favorite Album of 2020 and is growing to be an All Timer.
14:00 - Manger on McNichols, Ken got it right lmao
This is my 2nd favorite rap album this year, right behind Haram, not coincidentally also produced by Alchemist. Legend.
Alchemist has been on a crazy run since that Albert Einstein album with Prodigy (RIP) in 2013. Like Ken said, we really need to have a discussion about Al’s place in the greatest producer convo
He’s 100% up there with dilla and madlib. The amount of consistent quality projects and young MCs he’s helped put on speaks for itself
As quiet as it’s kept His run Started in 2011-12 With Covert Coup with Curren$y and Rare Chandeliers with Action Bronson.
Everybody still sleeps on durag dynasty-360 waves
Alchemist blending the Bo Jackson soundbites in between each track is what keeps me coming back for more.
They outdid themself on this one.
That was Boldy James son aswell (which bo Jackson is his nickname)
This is definitely a top 10 this year. Alchemist's a damn genius. IS&S made me cry, dude. What a way to use a sample.
This album had no skips
Photographic Memories was the one for me 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yeah i was happy to Earl on that one but 3rd person was my favorite song on that album
@@rofj09 3rd Person was hard too
I love when B gets excited about an album., this was a dope album Myke with that clicking was funny af
I love Benny but I personally think Boldy bested him on Brickmile to Montana. What a fire project, so addicting and I think both Al and Boldy somehow stepped up even more in their respective lanes.
he did him in on Scrape the Bowl too
This album is so damn good, The Alchemist production is out of this world.
Im only 28 so i dont know much about old music but alchemist doesnt miss and everything he touches turns to gold. The beats on his projects with conway are nuts.
Yessir... I've been waiting for this review. Boldy James and Alchemist are in top 3 Rapper/Producer Duo. But it's a shame that you guys didn't review his project with Sterling Toles from last year *"Manger On McNichols"*
And Boldy had 4 Great albums last year with 4 Different Producers and they were all Killers with no fillers
Always putting me on some albums I've missed, appreciate all the work y'all putting out! Big fan since 2015
Mike only appear at the 3 min mark. Lol.
Nice review.
For real, I’m happy to see how the DEHH crew has evolved over the years, maintained their relationships and just happy to see the guys healthy and passionate.
First time I seen a dehh review was random axe album. Might have been 2010 or 11 And I’ve been hooked ever
Since. I feel like I know those guys now. Keep pushing it guys. We love you.
Aggressively building sites got me 😂
Y’all sleep on that Turpentine mane. “Ducking Captain Hook and the pirates of the Caribbean, feds trying to send me to neverland on a Peter Pan.” I legit almost threw my damn phone when I heard that lmaoooo
Another masterpiece. Alch + Boldy is just brilliant
need that alc x earl album
So we not gonna bring up how insane the beat switch up on "double hockey sticks" is?
The album he did with Real Bad Man is crazy
Boldy! Wow, I love how he switched up flows. That was "Bold."
When it's all said and done, Alchemist will go down as the greatest producer of all time. This is all prep for Roc Marci x Alchemist album.
Nobody talks about crack like boldy 🐐….that speed trap gotta be my fav off this joint
Think only Armand Hammer x Alchemist got me like this album did this year. Props to Alchemist for producing a variety of different sounding albums & for picking the right spitters to work with.
Really wanting a full Earl x Alchemist LP next
i wish alchemist would do an album for eminem, i feel like em would flow on his shit instead of the trap beats he been on
Em legit can call Alch anytime he wanted and Alch would be down but Em want to do that bullshit SMH
People should understand at this point Em' just doesn't want to for whatever reason. Like he's his Dj for more than a decade now... He's more into pop than hip hop it is what it is.
@@daikatanaman2846 I agree 💯 Em has arguably the 2 greatest producers at his disposal and never really fully utilizes them on his most recent projects. I think he should give us a 10 track project with 5 beats from Dre and 5 from Alchemist now that would be 🔥🔥🔥🔥
@@mateonelson3862 Em for some reason never really utilizes Alchemist fully on his most recent projects which is insane in my opinion.
Alchemist wouldn't even need to produce a whole album for Em, just a 6 track EP would be legendary hahaha!
need ken to get a formal apology for them clowning his album pronunciation lmao. he was right the whole time
Us day ones appreciate y’all 💪🏿 The content for the past 10 years has never fallen stale. 💯🔥
Still playing this and KD2!!!!!!! Great music is back
Great album Boldy James was on point he be having some hard ass lines. Brick-mile to Montana, Fake flowers, E.P.M.D Turpentine, illegal search and seizure. Those are my favorites as well as, photographic memories.
The Price Of Tea In China hit me in a way that I can't remember any album doing in the last 5 years although it took a few listens. I seem to remember listening to it maybe 5/6 times back to back while I was at work one day and it was only maybe on the 3rd go around that I realized I was listening to something special.
I'm not sure if this one resonated with me in quite the same way but it's pretty fucking good all the same. Speed Trap is about as good as it gets with Boldy and Alchemist though!
This is a weird reference and perhaps only other Brits would get this but Boldy has always reminded me of Tricky particularly around the Pre Millenium Tensions era in '98. They rap about different stuff but I've always thought that they share that paranoid lofi stripped-back sound. Big fan of them both.
Yeah i agree. I think Bo Jackson might have more bangers but it doesnt run as seamlessly as TPOTIC to me. Feel like much more thought went into the tracklist the first time round which made it more immersive to me
TPOTIC is legit perfection!! I had kinda similar experience where I just kept playing it back to back, so Grimey like legit felt like Boldy was taking you on a journey thru his life just insane this one still good but ya price just felt so perfect 🔥
I'm surprised no one mentioned "My 1st Chemistry Set". That whole album is fire
The description is wrong, it's their third collaborative project! 'my first chemistry set' was also fully produced by The Alchemist
4th,if you count Boldface EP
@@Pharoah510 Word but that's just an EP tho indeed
Can't wait till the ka review comes out
this album is the first from Griselda to click for me. I've listened to a couple before but never really got into them like y'all but now I'm beginning to see the appeal, shit is hard as fuck
"now we hovercraftin in that big body bubble wagon. Poppin out the whip in new drip, got a puddle splashin" sheeeeeeesh
Yeaaaaaa
when we gon recognize the alchemist as the best producer of all time, cos he literally is.
It ain’t no damn manager on McNichols lol
It's been on non stop. Sick project Alchemist and boldy sound awesome story shit. Appreciate u fellas
Out 14 tracks, 8 of them went from this album to my rotation playlist this month. I dunno how Alchemist can put out so much fire in such a short space of time.
I guess that's what happens when you've been doing a thing for 30+ years
Nice! Been looking forward to this... great album from a great duo.
We still need Benny x Freddie album
im entranced with this instrumental
Hands down the best Rap/Hip-Hop album this year! Alchemist went to a different level on this one🔥🔥🔥. This is that rare album where you could literally play it on Shuffle and the sequencing doesn’t miss. Every song weaves really well into each other no matter what order they come in at, amazing album.
One of the smoothest albums I've heard lately!
I don't even know how fire this album is because I played photographic memories first because of the features and haven't stopped listening to it. NIGGAS WINNING GRAMMYS NOW!
aye i blame B for the buzzer sounds. i trusted his pronunciation 💀
Yes sir . I just typed it in the search bar & this popped up ✊🏽
Another review before Fantano? keep the good work fam
Thank you for reviewing this album!
I keep replaying the part rod and b was talking about roc marci verse 🔥my exact reaction
Can't wait to see the guys review big body Bes upcoming album produced by Alchemist.
"My bitch got in squeaky clean with the work sitting in her cervix" -Roc, spitting drug mule lines 🤮🔥
3rd person was my one from this album
Please review "Unlearning Vol.1" - Evidence
Best album of the year so far, IMO. Boldy is number 2.
That would be badass if Evidence and Boldy do an Album together on rhymesayers. Kinda like Stepbrothers 'lord steppington.' The song 'All of that said' is good.
@@alefosioalefosio6113 agreed. Their song “Grey October” is also good.
Alchemist has been blowing me away since 2013, so much that I'm concerned for the man's health
Alchemist is on an absolute tear! This album is incredible!
I also return to songs from this album... alc and boldy once again deliver.. bo is getting better
bro the "diamond Dallas" instrumental alone is enough for the alchemist to retire as a legend.
Yo the way that guitar comes in in the 2nd chorus?! Come on💎🏆
Such a dope album. It really is. The Alchemist is the greatest Hip Hop producer of all time! And I agree with Myke, this one definitely made me a proper Boldy fan.
It's good to see world loving what we already knew u was born to do that shit bro💯
How is Myke the only one that mentioned 'Double Hockey Sticks'? That beat switch was 🔥🔥
AOY contender for sure! Where Feefo?? Still recovering from his Cudi song in Chicago battle 😂
Man that end of the year list gonna be so tough and we ain't even done with the summer yet.
The Alchemist & Harry Fraud are head & shoulders above these other producers. Those two just don't miss and shout out to Boldy too
This album’s incredible
Poor Ken! He got Manger on McNichols right and then got clowned as Beezy got it wrong. 🤣🤣
Haven't been keeping up with Hip hop for a min, but this shit is fire.
yo can we hear you guys' thoughts on kendricks new message? thx keep doin!
'Where we at' - Boldy James
Alchemist been very busy these couple of years
easily some of the best of the year
An end of year top 5-10 gonna be tough this past 6 weeks alone got good chunk of my top 10 on lovk
And he got so much more bro lmao Alc really the goat I swear🔥
I hate they never reviewed Manger on McNichols
Dope review 👍🏼

Manger is a MUST listen for Boldy. Boldy on a crazy run
alchemist really do need a holiday tho
Damn I ain’t know y’all ain’t fw Curren$y 😭😭 that’s crazy
This is their 4th project not their 2nd.
Hear me out.... RTJ x ALC

You might've even heard my sneakers chirpin' like Pee wee Kirkland
Gotta watch where you keep them birds 'cause them people lurkin'
I know curren$y isnt view in high regard here, but man in a world where some of my favorite artist Ka griselda, roc ,aesop, billy woods. Curren$y has been my dude since highschool.
Also the fact that he is featured on here shows the respect these dudes also have for him gibbs alch the griselda crew
Curren$y is dope as hell. He had a RUN, in the early 10s. Covert Coup is still one of Alchemist’s best. Pilot Talk 1, 2, and 3. Cigarette Boats with Harry Fraud. SMH.
Double Hockey Sticks super slept on intro
I want to hear y’all do a RJ Payne
4:10 house of blues got made flows. Underrated Boldly
Make sure to peep the audio review of First 48 Freestyle just so you can hear Ken say "fuck her face"🤣🤣🤣
great album , but it is strange that you didnt review new evidence album yet....... :)
