I do not know much about the inner part of carnatic music, but a very dedicated listener. These two ladies literally bleed music. Blessed to hear them sing.

Another great performance by the talented sisters! Madhyamavati - "Saravanabhava Guhaney" is touching - brilliantly rendered. All the accompanists have done very well. The violinist Vittal Rangan, the mridangist Sairam, and the ghatam vidwan Guruprasad are exceptional in their anticipation and embellishments. Bravo!!

I wish to tell you that they have already emerged. Sure they do wonderful service with Lord's grace they do contribute to the society as a whole; they make the minds of listeners delicate and soft; and they are easily moved to sympathy, compassion and kindness.

after reading all the comments, i conclude some of the negative comments are from professionals of yore who could be senior to the young pair attempting rendering great compositions with sincerity and dedication. You can enjoy the music only when your mind is more open. recently judge said if u don't like throw the book. so if u don't like please utilize time to enjoy whatever you want to enjoy. being a critic is tension-ridden and ruin the tranquil

i found an interesting observation ..@ 30 minutes past the show .go back on time to the beginning while raag aalapana was going on ( Madhyamavati) ..the video Editor thought of some creativity . He/she copied the audience reaction from this segment into the 'aalapana' section . What the editor probably did not know ...was..the 'thalam'...hand gestures by audience and performer...happens only during the actual song performance . So , such tricky editing does not always work . thanks
+Srikant R Also, I was told by some of the attendees that the audience attending some other concert are edited and included into some other concert. Not sure why that should be done by Jaya TV

Thanks to RaGa sisters for their melodious music. But the Mridangist flopped the event . Even he hasn't adjusted his myke towards his mridangam with the result we couldn't hear his performance properly.

When you could tamil kirtanais so fluently and elegantly, why resort to give your interviews in English at least in Tamilnadu, I think Chennai is in Tamizhnadu. I am a Hyderabad Tamizhan and love my mother tongue. Pl. note however you are fluent in english, nothing satisfying that when we think we are Tamizhans. You might have noticed this in Bombay where you spent your days, none of the locals speak in another language other than Marathi, even though they speak Hindi & English. The same here in hyderabad, they speak in Telugu or Urdu. Shun your feudalistic attitude, however you are good.
+swa6730 This video is about music .. enjoy the music if you can. Spaking a language is one's choice. Speaking in Tamil will either make tamil very great or speking in english or English /Tamil mix is ine's choice and the wat they think they can reach the listners. Problem with us is to divude ourselves with different langusge. One of the Great curse on Bharath Matha is that she is blessed with children who speak some 50 langusges. I wish the same nature give all children some wisdom to think that languge is for expressing one selves in the best way he/she can. Other then languge has no significace and what is said is very important. I wish Language/ Religion/ Caste no more ivides .. which all our bad wiishers are wishing.. Pak/China nad other non wishers. Swa6730 be a bit more broad minded. Do not bring language petiness when we are enjoying Aboghi and virutham and the Song which takes us near Shiva and Kanappan.

During the main piece of this rendition, sharavana bhava, the sisters came across as selfish brats. They simply ignored the violinist after madhyamavathi alapana and robbed his chance while stooping up each other as they do all the time. You could see the facial expression/disappointment from the violinist and the ghatam artist. At least the older sister seems to be considerate and in the end when the violinist got his chance, he did extremely well.

+Nambi Perumal Enjoy misic if you can. Time management is the teams business. Nambi Perumal , I guess works in a place where Time has no value, probably second rated wrk place whee Time has no value.
I am certain the violinist got to play the alapana. This must been edited out due to broadcast time limits in this episode.
Respected sir, this concert had everyone performing as in a regular concert in the live performance. For broadcast reasons, the channel usually cuts all violinists and sometimes even the vocal. Please verify before making such allegations on two of the most respected singers for their innovation and adherence to tradition!
