Thanks. Top job canny lads. Medals for bravery here. My dad started work here in the 1960s and said it was really grim. They were still bins in those days. Poor souls locked up all day. The younger staff set about trying to open things up a bit. There were people who cared and brought about change. Shame the grand hall was gone. Would have like to see it. I won a prize there for the twist at the xmas party...lols. Didn't the plane come down near the bluebell wood? I seem to remember seeing traces of it still there in the 70s. Cheers. Be well.
Only parts were pulled down, the main entrance was listed so they had to build around that.
