excellent video and i completely agree about plastic, micro plastics. my home is free of plastics because it is so dangerous. people are just so accustomed, uneducated or unconcerned about this silent killer. There are options, change is important. stainless steel, ceramic, etc are good alternatives. pet bowls made of plastic is so dangerous for the pet. bacteria growth and black jaw from it. stop using plastic pet bowls. thank you for making a video on this serious concern and treating a well.

Thanks for this interesting video but since coliform are present in the water coming into the well it would seem to me that this procedure would only temporarily remove it from the well.

After you chlorinate the Well how long soon can you use the water to take shower , wash hands , use for Washer ?

Depends on a 3 factors.
1) How strong the Chlorine treatment was.
2) How well you flushed out your well.
3) what’s your chlorine tolerance.
For my treatment, after I flushed my well for a few hours, I was able to comfortably shower. It reminded me of a chlorinated pool. I continued to flush a few hours a day, I waited about a week and a half before I drank the water. You could flush the system more rapidly, and push the flush, however this puts a strain on your well and well pump. How this answer helps.

I treated my well with well safe yesterday. Today i looked and the tablets havent fully disolved. How long does it take for the tablets to disolve?

How shallow is your well? If you can see the tablets, I’d imagine it’s very shallow.

I think plastic is the least of your worries.. that rusted well casing would be more to worry about..

Are you a well technician? I would think a rusted well casting is very common. The deteriorated gasket was more of a concern for me than the rust.

They are finding microplastics everywhere, including throughout the human body. Well water, and a stainless steel water bottle had significantly reduced my exposure to consuming this garbage.
