No mosquitoes?! I'm moving to Iceland.
Fun, and informative.
Tara Blackmore to troll you, I get a whole jar full of mosquitoes and train them to live in the cold climate hehe
I'm willing to live with a volcano if it meant no mosquitoes :O.
Also, Ikbenmaaten, you scare me and make me laugh at once, which is confusing. I dig your name, too.
Tara Blackmore they arent really urbanized either. you might want to re-think that.
it is too cold for mosquitoes to be in this country and there is no trouble with volcanoes
number one: Denmark is a country.
Number 0: DenNor is real
JuKaC no it isn't. it's just fan assumption, we hate each other in real life, and Sweden and Norway are considered married in real life. take your ships elsewhere we don't need them.
Mathias Densen Køhler You sound so pissed off xD even if I don't ship you tbh (Long live AusHun unique and live pairing whoooo)
JuKaC hello i am a Dane living in Denmark, we get very pissed at stupid things, but don't worry it never lasts long XD, and AusHun is one of the only or the only ship that has ever came close to cannoning and is borderline canon.
Mathias Densen Køhler A lot of Danes that I've met ship DenNor as hard as they can, glad to meet a Dane that thinks different xD btw I know and AusHun is the only one that can become canon, not even SuFin tbh
Döner Kebap was invented in Germany by some turks, so it's no surprise there are more restaurants, but everyone thinks it was invented in Turkey
Are the Icelandic people friendly towards immigrants?
+DarkBrawlerLink if they get any
gunnar416 max When I retire I will move to Iceland to live my last days without mosquitoes :D
I will spend 6 months there when I have finished school this year (july - december)
+DarkBrawlerLink why ? dyou wanna be a fairy Minister ?
I'd certainly be friendly to immigrants if I saw any!! I think we can be a bit...too curious so we might ask something rude, I know every time I see a foreigner I kinda go up to them and ask them where their from etc etc lmao XD
if you think about it Eurasia and Africa combined is the biggest continent because it's surrounded by water
The Netherlands have the longest railroad.. not Belgium.
multidroid111
Well, Germany? France? England? Spain?
multidroid111 Ever been to Belgium? Even the smallest village in our country has a railroad network.
Jortyguy
Yes, but overall it's pretty small compared to larger countries. I mean maybe they mean something different in the video like most train stations per inhabitant or whatever, but it's definitely not the country with the longest railroad system.
I think it's actually India
Sam Edward Barsoum
Wikipedia says the USA.
Australia is the world's biggest island! There is nothing that says it is not! It is completely surrounded by water, so bloody what if it is a continent, it is still an island! Grah! *screams at sky with fists raised in the rain from a top down perspective panning out at night*
macedonia is the oldest country in europe(700 bc) and the name is since then, but most of the time since 200 bc it was occupied,if anyone still cares
+Macedonian fighter lol
Euro System ЕДНО ИМЕ ИМАМЕ!!
Euro System its funny when you think that you know better what i am
Euro System i am calling myself what i am.that is MACEDONIAN,son
i dont want to be roman, and i cant, when all my ancestors were macedonian
Lol, do you know how long the took for the Cologne Cathedral?
Construction started 1248
Completed 1880
But ok, it's a huge thing:
"The cathedral is the largest Gothic church in Northern Europe and has the second-tallest spires (after Ulm Minster) Its two huge spires give it the largest façade of any church in the world. The choir has the largest height to width ratio, 3.6:1, of any medieval church."
Far bigger than Notre Dame.
+bluerisk Also still not completed. They are still working on getting that dome to completion, but there's always something somewhere falling apart, to the point it might never see completion. 1880 might be where the construction was done, not the building in its entirety.
+Felix Brunschede
apparently they made a fruend at italy.... u rewatched this exact moment 38 times and im still crackin up
Europe + Asia + Africa = Largest Island
Since when is Finland a part of Russia? O.o
agreed... We haven't been part of Russia for a century now, but thanks for including us in Russia again which is something none of us want. *facepalm*
Suvi-Tuuli Allan It´s propably a map from the Tsar´s Russia (Russian Empire before the year 1915). Who would want to part of Russia anyway?
***** I'm gonna eat that rabbit for dinner
***** I'm gonna eat you for breakfast.
Suvi-Tuuli Allan
Come at me :)
Only Lichtenstein could go to war and come back with more men :P
protestifications You kind of misspelt Liechtenstein...
You try spelling 3:09
Or france as they would just surrender as soon as they got there :L
MrMidnightclubLA you have to understand why they surrendered tho. WW1 pretty much destroyed france and they had to rebuild, many people from WW1 were still alive and knew what happened during the intense battles so they didnt want to get mowed down again. i dont support it, but i understand why they did that.
protestifications You know once in WW1 two Austrian (I think it was Austria) Armies saw each other. They assumed they were enemies and lost 80,000 men in the ensuing battle.
Lol go to war with 80 soldiers, come back with 81?? Only Europe
our tactics.
You mean "Kidnapped" 81
Jaime Uh Today a Roman, tomorrow the WORLD! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA *Laughs in deep, evil voice*
Jaime Uh Only Europe? Forgot the two great wars we had? Yeah, we came back with 70+ million people from the dead in those two wars...
Jesper Stjernström Well guess what, MURICA NUKED SHIT
MURICA
*cough sattire *cough
Fact #11: since when Ukraine, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus and Poland are parts of Russia? Because your map at 2:09 shows that whey are...
25 Самых Интересных Фактов That's the Russian Empire. Don't know why they used that one though.
Unofficially because Putin says that Russia isn't invading the Ukraine.
***** Correction, you don't even need to bring that shit up.
25 Самых Интересных Фактов Very outdated map.
Wtf is up with Africa
Europe is the best place in the whole world!
The Conpheranseer , so true x
Not true
EU > USA
Mooie naam
Ja idd mooie naam
EenMagnetron you dumbass EU is not even a country. EU IS LICKING THE ASS OF USA! Everything what USA wants the EU will do it! so dont talk bullshit EU is not even a piece of USA. Russia, China > USA because they got balls
govno7 The US is one of the most hated countries
EenMagnetron As much as i love being American i agree
Asa French, I see it as my duty to elaborate on the origins of the croissant. It was indeed first baked in Vienna, whilst the city was under siege by Ottoman forces... Desperate yet keen to maintain opposition, the besieged Austrians made the first ever croissant, where the half-moon shape was intended to mock the Muslims as the half-moon is an Islamic symbol... (Side fact: the Austrians won the siege if I'm not mistaken with help from other Euro nations, and mostly Poland's cavalry)... Now why did France adopt the croissant? Well for one, we have a tradition for patisserie (I.e. Baking) and we also like the idea of defeating Muslims, pretty much since the battle of Poitiers when french Knights had to kick back the Muslims oppressor back to Spain...
It was mainly when I said it but I can't tell if you're using sarcasm or not 😨...?
Mainly a joke*
+Louis Haumont -- Thank you for the information.
True. But don't you mock it.
***** Ignoring the racist part of your post, because colonies.
Only in Liechtenstein!
+TacoSeniour Lichtenstein *
Jesus LiveOnTv You get my point.
+Jesus LiveOnTv
No.
It's spelled Liechtenstein.
Well okay then. I Googled it and its Liechtenstein, I thought id would be Lichtenstein because the german word for light is Licht so yeah. XD
The Liechtenstein fact is not true :D
its so funny that half of his "facts" are not true
Euro rain forests? That took me by surprise
kefkapalazzo1
Well, I'm pretty sure he just means forests that have never been cultivated.
kefkapalazzo1 I looked it up and Perucica forest doesn't look much like a rainforest to me.
Incredible Oyster
They just have no idea what they are talking about, obviously.
useless1997 It's a jungle i think
Vous visual
Well, in German you would probably call it Urwald, which is also used for the rainforests in South America and so on, but it's not the same as that, it's just a forest that is in a very natural state without human interference.
I don't know where this person find this facts but so inaccurate
yep
Deni Defaux I know , right
No Dutch facts? Well, I'll just... Feel forgotten then. Most of the people in the world don't even know which language we speak! WE DON'T SPEAK GERMAN!
Everybody forgotten what Wales is, too.
Welcome to the crew. Wales is never mentioned. Nobody knows it! Haha! We just live with it...
***** So I'm never mentioned then.
Makes sense.
Jacob Rutter Wales isn't an independent country though. They're kind of like provinces of the UK. It's just like nobody knows of Limburg, the province I live in. They only recognise 'Limburger cheese', which isn't from Limburg...
Jacob Rutter And also, there is a Welsh fact in this video.
Bulgaria was mentioned, I am happy.
It was a good day.
Hristo Balabanov haha, you made my day with that comment 😂😂😂
kind of happy, but not sure it was entirely accurate. i mean bulgaria was part of the ottoman empire for a few centuries.
dan, I guess occupied time doesn't count. Or, Bulgaria was either a state or one of the many autonomous princedoms of Ottoman Empire.
Hristo Balabanov me too😭
dan regers your point?
Finally somebody that mentioned Belgium! Even twice! :D You made a happy man from me. Greetings from Belgium!
Yes but one of them wasn't belgium but holland -_-
Wich One? I heard tiny country Belgium and Brussels?
That's great bram
frizohnn i don't see a fact about Holland?
Bram Debrouwere Belgians unite! :D
I think you might want to update your map. The one showed is pre-WWI, and regarding Bulgaria, it has been conquered many times(between 1200-1300 by Byzantines and by the Ottomans after 1400), so saying that it is the oldest country and has never changed names is quite wrong
Nope, it isn't wrong
The translation of Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch from Welsh into English tells you the location, meaning:
"Saint Mary's Church in the hollow of the white hazel near a rapid whirlpool and the Church of St. Tysilio of the red cave"
How old of a map you used for the Russia's landmass comparisson to rest of Europe. It's from the USSR, and if a bit offended that my country is represented in it.
and Greenland is a part of the North America.
Map is actually older than USSR, from czar era 100 years ago.
If you look at Germany of that map, you can see it's prior to the German unification so it's prior ti the Franco-Prussian war of 1871
Greenland is right next to North America (not sure if it's considered to be a part of the continent), but it belongs to Denmark, actually. Danish autonomous territory. That is probably why he included it.
IKR. You can still see Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire, which means that this map is at least 100 years old. You can also see that this came before the Partition of Africa in 1888. We can also see that the Papal States and North German Confederation are on it, so it comes from before 1870. So the map depicts a political landscape of at least 146 years ago. VERY OLD.
Huh... you learn something new every day. E.g. Finland belongs to Russia nowadays 2:06.
XD
I WISH
Some Stupid YTPer Then why did he put it in there
The guy who made this video probably got an F in GCSE geography
U?
Fact 23: There more döner restaurants in Berlin than in istanbul, because a man from Berlin (with turkish roots) create the döner first time in Berlin
Greenland is not in Europe and is not the biggest island
It was a colony from denmark
It is a part of europe because it belongs to denmark . So yeah not a part of theeurasian continent but yes a part of Europe.
Trymchannel Greenland is in North America. Its geographical position is not influenced by who owned it.
James Bond It's technically part of denmark and is controlled by it though it has become more self governed in recent years. Despite this though it's still considered part of North America geographically.
Edit: And it is the biggest island in the world since continents do no count as islands. hence Australia is ruled out.
trymcchannel are you stupid?
IM BRITISH!!!😂 Who else is?
5w1ft me!
5w1ft me!
Me
5w1ft I'm British ;3
You're a fucking normie from normieville is what you are

What Italians drinking coffee ?
Jeekay Tenn no that's fact
wayge No... I'm sure at least ONE italian drinks capuccinos after 11.
You're right, we use drink it, for a "snack" during the afternoon
Yes a wrong stereotype
I thought Australia is bigger than Greenland.
Any do 25 interesting facts about the Middle East.
I_k4rd4_I Australia is a continent first, island second
Australia is not a continent. It is just part of a continent called Oceania.
Pedo Bear there is no continent called oceania
Seb Reni That is the technical name for Australia's continent
Jakattack ocenia is a region not a continent
Holy shit, the Mcdonalds at 2:51 is in my hometown Karlshamn, i see it every day when im going to school! It's wierd that you choose that pic beacuse we are a small town with only 32k people!
+Alex Månsson how is that a small town ? where i live are also only 40k People and i dont think ist small ...
Old'n New Gaming Well it's small if you think he made a vid of europe as a whole, you think you would choose a big town with like more than 500 thusend people or something xD
i live in a village in Belgium and we have 13k so yeah
+Alex Månsson but agreed pretty small compared to sweden i geuss
+Alex Månsson small town? the biggest town in my area has 15k xD
Any Other Germans Like me?
No,ok...
Rasp berri not German but Lived there in a housing community for American service members & thier families for abt 12 years lol I miss it there
I'm from Germany's neighboring country, Czech Republic
Lol the map of Europe you are using is kind of old... for starters Germany doesn't even exist yet; it's just the North German Confederation and Southern German states which would place this somewhere around the year 1867. It actually does matter because you were using it while you said Russia takes up 40% of Europe; in this map Russia also consists of parts of Poland, Moldavia and all of Ukraine, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and Finland; I beleive this may be the biggest Russia has ever been in it's history. I also find it kind of funny that there are no states in central Africa and the entire middle east and balkans are part of the Ottoman Empire. xD
Since when is Greenland part of Europe? Greenland is part of North America but Iceland is Europe
Evolvedgaming Greenland belongs to Denmark. So it is European ^^
+Patrick Cadden-Derrick They are not counted in what ?
+Evolvedgaming You dumb crap.Greenland is Denmark.
+Wiktor Katulski despite being owned by Denmark it technically is closer to Canada making it north american
+Guill rich As it was said above, it's like the French territories in America. They are next to the USA or next to Brazil but they still French.
WHY THE FUCK IS FINLAND MARKED AS RUSSIAN AREA????
About fact 9, In France, croissants are also called viennoiseries, that roughly means "From Vienna" (and" French press pot" is called "Italian Press pot" )
His attempt at Welsh made me cringe 😵☺️
It's a cringey name to say tbf
Ikr
I don't think it was THAT bad...I've heard a lot of Americans trying to pronounce it (even with research) and it was way worse xD
I'm Welsh, and whilst not perfect, he was pretty close.
jca111 One of the things that did surprise me was his ability to pronounce the 'ch' sound. Roedd o'n well nag 99% o bastard saeson sydd yn trio.
2:26 FUN FACT: Greenland might be the largest island in the world, however it's not part of Europe, but it's part from North America.
I thought the same thing.
anyway, it belong to Denmark I think.. :)
Brian It does, however "Greenland" is a country. It's not only a island that belongs to Denmark, but it's country that belongs to Denmark.
Alex anyway, it belongs to Denmark :)
Brian Yes it does. I just mentioned that it's actually a country, but not only an island, in case that you didn't know.
#26, Europe is a continent and not a country
A bit of unlucky research here ... Belgium has the densest railway network. Definately not the longest
The amount of butthurt in the comments section because of the fact that Bulgaria is 1334 years old ( if we do not count Old Great Bulgaria which was established on 632 AD) is just unreal and quite funny if it wasn't so pathetic!!
(For not-so-sharp and anti-Bulgarians, here is the math: 2015 - 681 = 1334 years.)
Regarding San Marino, come on people learn something for a change...read someting and think :
"After the Diocletianic Persecution following his Christian sermons, he escaped to the nearby Monte Titano, where he built a small church and thus founded what is now the city and state of San Marino. The official date of the founding of what is now known as the Republic is 3 September 301.
In 1631, its independence was recognized by the Papacy."
Even if we take into account the times when the Bulgarian state was under foreign rule, Bulgaria is again older than San Marino!!
Again let's do the math:
1185 - 1018 = 167 years under Byzantine rule.
1878 - 1423 = 455 years under turkish rule (fuck turkey!!! Even after nearly 5 centuries of rapings, killings, kidnappings and essentially a genocide far deadlier and crueler than the Holocaust , we are still here along with the Greeks, ready to take you on at any time..just saying ;) ..back to the math )
455 + 167 = 622 years under foreign rule.
1334 - 622 = 712 years as a state!
San Marino:
Recognized on 1631 AD.
2015 - 1631 = 384 AD.
712 years > 384 years
So even by that logic Bulgaria is the oldest country in Europe!
And on other hand, San Marion was never actually independent country and it is not today too really. It has always depended and is depended today entirely from and on Italy for everything.
The statements about Portugal and Malta are just laughable..really..
2:06 That "map" makes me see red. Finland, Baltic countries, Ukraine and other countries under that green colour are NOT parts of Russia. -.-
Sipu97 A merry cans
Sipu97 This is murican video, we chouldn't except true.
Negative One
Yeah, I guess so.
*****
Oops, I didn't notice those other things on the map. But that's no reason to tell me "go back to school"... -_- I just didn't see that it was an old map.
it's funny how they came back with 1 😂
that's not right Australia is the smallest continent but is the biggest island
OMG finally someone knows that croissants are austrian. I love you for that
@@ozzey1149
French fries were invented in France, and the French croissants have only their shape in common with the Austrian croissants.
It's spelled Perućica, not Perućika. And Greenland is not in Europe, it's in North America, but owned by Denmark.
But because of the connection to Denmark, and it receives fond by the EU and there are talk about it rejoining EU, everybody kind of just refers to its at European :D
ahhaha care, tehnićki Grenland je u Europi jer je pod plasništvom Danske.
Nemoj komentirat ako neznas.
greenland is in europe not in north america
Everything wrong with the map at 2:10:
1) Finland is not part of Russia
2)Latvia, Estonia and many other countries ARE NOT part of Russia
3)Kazakstan is NOT part of Russia
4) THAT IS NOT WHERE EUROPE AND RUSSIA SPLIT
5)MOSTOF AFRICA IS ONE COUNTRY?!?!?!!? WUT
6) I swear that map is from the 1800s
7) This map is largely distorted to make it look like some (not naming any names) countries are bigger
+EdadudeGaming
None of these countries were a 'part of Russia'. They were either a part of Imperial Russia or the Soviet Union.
that is actually how most of my strategy game campaigns go, i go into war to lose soldiers so i have ot pay less wages, and i end up with a bigger army :P
+Jasper van Manen EU4? :)
yess and others like it :)
hehe great game. Also learned some things from it. Curently playing as a super sized westernized Hungary and haw a PU with Russia. Franch week Austria dead. The world has no chance. :D
*****
since then a lot happened i did not play it in the past months, but before this pause i took control of the HRE im 1 reform away from making the empire (which i wont do), haw Canada, California Australia as colonial nations, own half of Africa, and owning trade companies whit monopoly in most Asian trade nods. I acumulated so much wealth that i can afford to be in minus 1K until the end of the game XD, and that's only because i give extra orbital amounts of subsidize to rusia and my colonis. And in the last war i crushed the Spanish (Castil) and Portugal armada. Hawing 100+ heavy ships is sure nice.
My ambitions are to capture all the slave trading territory's and eradicate slavery.
An empire of conquest and freedom. XD
I know its a long brag. But I enjoy being so OP. :P
work in progress by my. :) middle east is my domain, only a small part of Persia remained. Fun fact I had PU with Byzantium (made my trusted friend Austria my enemy, with the Bohemians on my side it vas not a fun war for Austria.) and it newer fell in my game. After vassalizating Walachia and Serbia I started to reek havoc on the ottomans. I dont give them Chance to get to strong. Ant the rest is history. Alternate history. ;)
25 horrible facts about religion plz
french fries are actually also stolen from Belgium, who actually invented them.

But Greenland isn't in Europe? It's part of the North American subcontinent.
Incredible Oyster Greenland is part of Denmark
You're right, but he probably included it because it's part of Denmark which is Europe.
Greenland is technically a part of Denmark
shasbot Some parts of the Caribbean is owned by France and Netherlands. They are not in Europe, Greenland is not in Europe either
Fredrick Höjland The thing is Greenland is really close to Europe and their culture and language is very European/Scandinavian.
Where they on bath salt while making this?!
The map in the beginning of this video is highlighting Eurasia.
And they didn't even mention Albania once.
''25 Interesting facts about Europe most americans don't know''
In Europe, many different national mentalities. How they look from Russia. The England - inclined to external effects. The French are pretentious gentility. The Germans pragmatism. Scandinavia is slowly thinking. Italy-superficial thinking. Spain - short-sighted and expressive. The Irish are straightforward. Eastern Europe - light idiocy and the tendency to cargo-cult
2.06 Why did you put Finland as a part of RUSSIA!!! We have been independent since 1918!!!
+FIN HDskillz Probably because the map was before 1918
He took a map (probably from Google Images) from what I believe is showing countries in around 1860-1880, so before most countries got their independence.
What I don't understand is how he didn't notice that more than half of the countries we have today in Europe were missing.
+FIN HDskillz yes really !
+Jonathan Dahlberg oh yeah really XD there is even prussia on there XD
Pretty old map XD
greenland is not in europe
...no it isn't.
Iceland is in Europe
Greenland is in North America
But Greenland belongs to Denmark. A viking thing.
well, not completely: geographically Greenland is in the Americas, but politically Greenland is a nation in the Kingdom of Denmark, so it's european in that regard
half of it is stupit
+Moribax85 u now still that norwyas were first europians at usa
Greenland is not part of Europa, at least not geographialy
It is as its owned by Denmark
Per Trygve Myhrer IT WAS onwed by denmark long ago
Dominykas Simonis It still is, it has some autonomy but it is not a member of the UN. Also its part of North America, even though Denmark owns it.
Dominykas Simonis I DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE COUNTRY OF GREENLAND.
HumbleDane it's not really a country because there is hardly any people living there
Fun fact about Europe: "Europe is a continent, not a country"
Americans:😮😮😮😮😮
Well just to be fair, I'd like to mention that Europe (with a territory of 3,930,000 square miles) is still bigger than the United States of America (3.8 million square miles)
San Marino is the oldest country in the world. So i thing bulgsria is not the oldest country in europ.
Japan is the oldest country in the world. San Marino is assumed to be the oldest republic in the world though the theory has not been proven yet.
Garret Smith Actually...Japan divided many times. San Marino is the oldest country that never changed.
As a Canadian, this list doesn't have anything that interests me. Came here for the usual "I hate America" crowd.

0:11 That's not Europe, that's Euroasia, Greenland isn't Europe and 2:06 is a 100 year old map and it's Perućica not Perucika. Honestly is there at least one video on youtube where americans don't get something wrong about Europe when talking about it.
greenland is in europe and owned by denmark and it is not in north america
Andro A Its a map of ~1850
1:53 It depends what you call "the dark ages", but most people think and say that it begins in 395 (The fall of Rome) to 1300-1500 and USA is 238 Year old nation, what means that the dark ages were more then 3 times longer then USA has been as a nation.
I bet that the person that made this video wasn't a European! Because the map he is using at 2:07 is from pre 1870!

LeeNTien I didn't expect Belgium to have the longest train network either I live here but A hell of alot of people go to work/school with the train. Alot of people here travel to Brussels to work every morning with the train. Or the university's
TheAnangrycharizard In The Netherlands it's even worse, almost 0% of the trains is on time :P
