A trip on PS Waverley from Penarth to Ilfracombe

Waverley returned to the Bristol Channel in 2023 for the first time 2018. The the sailings were very well supported, often sold out, showing how the general public enjoy a day out on the Waverley.

Great video. Looks like an almost perfect day out....perhaps the breeze could have been a little lighter? Waverley is looking really good. A bit sad that the soft toys (dolphin/shark) are no longer in the engine room! Would love to go on a Bristol Channel cruise at some point with you.

Yes, as a passenger it felt overcrowded. But it is certified to carry up to 925 passengers in Class V waters. That is rivers, estuaries and deep fresh water lakes. I don’t think it would have been allowed to exceed 925 passengers, but it certainly was very full.
