I know how a lot of people feel about Walmart but the reality is its places like Walmart and Aldi's that can make a difference for not just vegans but meat eaters trying to change because people are not gonna purchase what they cannot afford
Angel KM Agree! Walmart by no means is a standard of what I would consider an ethical company. However, they are THE ONLY option for a lot of people. It’s awesome to see they are carrying lots of plant based alternatives. There could be a meat eater in a small town who wants to try a plant based hot dog...but has no other option but Walmart.
@@_RubySoho_ I live in a working class neighborhood in Naples FL....many folks here WALK or ride bicycles to our nearby local WalMart....the first thing you see when you walk in our store is FRESH PRODUCE.....so yah....folks should think TWICE before judging all WalMart stores, just saying!
I've read that 140 million people shop at Walmart. The fact that they carry so many vegan foods is a really big deal. Thanks for pointing out all the great vegan items available there!
Actually regarding Sheds Spreads Country Crock, their standard Original version in the grey container is vegan by default as its Soy and palm oil based and doesn't contain dairy. And so the ones that are marked Plant based are done so to draw more attention to their brand. So even if you can't find the ones marked Plant Based, the Original Country Crock is still safe. But he careful: They've got two alternate versions that contain added vitamin D and Calcium derived from dairy.
I have found the Schmidt’s deodorant at Marshall’s, TJ Max and Ross for less than $3. I always look there first. I think I’ve paid full price for it once in 3+ years.
veronica ashby omg! Me too!! I always stock up on Schmidt’s from Marshall’s and TJ Max! It’s such a good deal! Sometimes I can find Pacifica stuff there too!
The Oatly Barista is wonderful in many recipes, you can use it to make gravy, stews sweet rice pudding in a potatoe gratin (combine oatly barista and the oatly cream onion garlic etc)
My area of Oklahoma, Walmarts carry most of these items. Although, Chris surprised me with a few. I wish Trader Joe's was closer but I do, have a Walmart and Aldi, super close so, I won't complain! Thanks Chris, for the Video! Blessings to ALL, Piper
I could almost exclusively live off of Amy's. Like you said, the canned chili is really good. Add a couple of spoonfuls of nooch and eat with some whole-grain tortilla chips and you've got a great meal.
Thanks for the explanation about the Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids, I read online from Peta Kids that they were vegan because of ingredients but I couldn't find any information on the sugar. So, I've been avoiding them since I figured that they're probably using bone char since it's a cheaper product. Also that's not a surprise with the palm oil issue.... it's stupid how they can keep getting away with that. 😭
Could you do a video about what can be in the ingredient "natural flavors" please? As many of those are derived from an animal. Thanks for keeping us informed.
While Daiya pizzas aren't cheap necessarily they're still cheaper than a pizza at Blaze and they're the same size. Walmart does have a good price on them compared to health food stores.
I always avoid Wal-mart but lately when I've searched for vegan products that are reviewed they are only at Wal-mart in my area so I'm thinking I need to just break down and go!
I live in a very small town in NC. I really wish my Walmart had more vegan options in my area. They offer no plant based "meat" or non dairy cheese. I have to drive 1.5 hours to trader Joe's. Hope they start carrying it in my Walmart.
Perfect timing, I need to go shopping! Wal-Mart's are everywhere around me! Zeke's bark during your voice over🤣! Great thumbnail and edit Chris! I know you were just showing the newest items but there's more vegan products. Thank you for sharing this!🌱💚
Wow your walmart has alot of vegan stuff. I have a Walmart near me but I don't really shop there but my mum does, and sometimes I go with her. We will have to check to see if we have any of this stuff . These shopping videos are so helpful. Lol what was that horse type mask in the beginning of the video? Thanks Chris ✌👍
In our small town the Walmart does have a lot of options, they stopped selling any vegan mayo the had just mayo once I only bought one jar and it disappeared. So I have to go to a bigger town to target but I just buy a couple jars at a time and it last. I love that miso soup bowl though!! And the almond milk mocha frappe is my favorite and they have it at the gas station by my house. 🙌🙌
Thanks for the video! I've been living in Germany the past few years where we don't have a Walmart, but I'll be visiting my family in the US soon and I have no idea what's at the stores nowadays.
Yes the Amy’s Margherita Pizza is definitely the best flavor! Something to note about Schmidt’s deodorant is, yes it is pricey but it lasts a loooooong time. I put it on daily, sometimes twice if I change clothes or workout hard. It works fantastically and I only have to replace it a few times a year...it really is worth the money.
I am always amazed at how different stores carry different products. The Walmart I go to, which is a super Walmart, doesn’t carry all the great products you showed. Thank you, though, because I’ll look harder in case I missed anything.
stgermaing I am in Nova Scotia and we don’t have those things at our Walmart either. A bit disappointing. Sobeys here is doing an amazing job at keeping those things in stock and new things coming in all the time! We have Gusta products which are quite good. Their cheese is tasty on pizza. 😊
Getting Gardein products here is great, so cheap and good variety, between the fishless fillets, chickun strips, and burgers, I can have dinner of tacos, or burgers, or whatever ready fast and affordable and delicious!!!
I'm jealous , here in Canada Ottawa area we have about 5% of the Vegan stuff you shown in this video, we have Chao cheese , some Vegan sausages, Hagen Daze Vegan ice cream and that is it .....
I need some advice. 1) I was vegan last year for health, and fell off the wagon hard. Now I’m vegan for the animals and here to stay. One of the things that contributed to me falling off the wagon was my friends teasing me so bad. I’ve not said anything to them about this time and plan on waiting for a bit. How do I get them to be supportive of me? 2) where can I find more information about what’s vegan and what’s not?
Well congrats for going vegan. I would say the internet is your friend here. I do a lot of videos on what is vegan at different stores like this one and there are lots of other channels that do the same. SO if you're going to your local store lookup videos on what's vegan at that store. Also, there are vegan communities in just about every city. For example, I am in a Syracuse Vegans group on Facebook and people are always posting about new vegan products that can be found locally. They also have meet ups at different restaurants or a place where everyone brings a dish. Hope this helps.
Very helpful video. Good background info on the products. Going to check my local Walmart (Ontario, Canada) although doubt if it has even a fraction of these items.
The Starbucks Almond Milk Frapp is SO good!! How much is the Bitchin' Sauce at Walmart? I didn't know they had it, will def check out - it was $6 where I got it so hoping it's cheaper !!
We all know what Walmart does as a company and to their employees. It’s definitely a catch-22 and we all know this. Some people only have Walmart’s so it’s amazing that they can now get vegan products. When I was working there they harassed me because I was vegan unfortunately and I was the one talking to vendors asking for vegan products and when they brought them I was buying them. Demand🔁 supply
Kayla Bjerke you are one of the few lucky ones. You can always do research and you will find all the osha violations they had along with getting sued for all kinds of stuff. I worked at a location for 4 years.
I went Whole food, plant based, no sugar, oils, salt since September. 30 pounds down so far. I don't trust food manufacturers, and God willing, any of their fabricated so called foods. I do use better than bullion, and other condiments, but I use them sparingly. The first weed was the hardest as i went through sugar, salt, and oil withdrawals. Every once in awhile, I eat a slice of bread, but some of them trigger my sugar addiction such as the Greek style pita bread. I through them straight in the trash. I ate a little catsup recently, and I was very surprised that it triggered my sugar addiction. Good thing I'm not a catsup fan. A junk food vegan is just as unhealthy as their junk food counter type.
I wish I could use the vegan deodorant. I tried a bunch of different ones but they give me a rash. But that isn't just vegan deodorant. A lot of them do. I have to use unscented gel. Otherwise I get a rash. Very sensitive skin.

My Walmart is killing it. They have an entire shelf of Daiya pizzas and numerous other vegan items. So proud of them!
Barbara Wilson I picked up a Daisy pizza a few weeks ago and my mind was blown.
IKR? Way to go, Big W 🙌
Living in a small town it's helpful when Walmart has more vegan options. Currently, it's the only local store carrying Just Mayo.
Just mayo sucks anywhere. Just like veg oli favor wax.

My local Wal-Mart is actually doing WORSE vegan-wise now. They used to have both Tofutti Sour Cream and Just Mayo - and now they carry neither. 😞
