I have watched probably 50 of these historical photo compilations and this is the first one where there's not a single photo that I haven't already seen 5 times in other 'rare' photos you've never seen' compilations, well done and thank you for some genuinely interesting images
Every oicture tells a story. The life of people caught in a secondof time. Some pictures are very sad and I keep wanting to know what became of these people. Great thought provoking video, love it as I like looking at old photographs.
Great video! Thank you for the captions under the videos... so many videos of photographs just show pictures with little or no information on who or what they are. I find myself constantly pausing the video to just study the images.. they're mesmerizing and I love the music.💛
I remember as a teen buying a small bottle of 'Luminous' white paint (gawd knows what was in it, radiation Iguess), back in the late 1950's/early 60's, and possibly used it on some things, as I was into modelling with Humbrol paints back then with Airfix kits, and still found it again in the early 1990's when the wife and I moved house, and useless and solid...The days when I could buy it from a model shop back then. Good video though..
The pic called "Central Park in the Summer of 1961" looks like it's showing Pele on the bottom right front. I also see that they are wearing soccer spikes which also supports my theory because, of course, Pele is a soccer god. Unless Pele was in Central Park before he played for the NY Cosmos starting in 1975 I think this picture is not from 1961. It also looks like he's wearing Adidas World Cups shoes which were not available until 1962. I'm probably wrong but just a thought.
Hmmm, got chastised by a " wolfe" to get a magnify glass cause " everybody " else can read this. I guess my circle of people didn't get asked, they can't read the tiny print either. So Ms. WOLFE, did you ask the other 5 billion people on this issue?

Always interesting. Forces reflection on the then and now.

I totally agree!
What always strikes me about all these old images is that no matter how deep their troubles may have been, it doesn't matter anymore.
Pretty girls!
The photo captioned "Ford Model T Fitted with a Pedestrian Safety Device" - the car is not a Model T Ford. Looks more like a Packard.
Who in world can read those damn captions....when you make them readable I'll start watching them again!

Would they have been using lead in paint at that time also?

More than likely I suspect...

The pictures look great but the writing is way too small.
*'Oktoberfest...War?* *What war?* *None of us know anything...we were all living in Sweden!*
Too bad we can not read the writing under the pictures!

The font for the subtitles is fine…
Can't read the subtitles, so I stopped watching it. Seems all of yours are the same way. I just cannot strain to read it.
Captions are too small
