What makes this record so great isn't just Bob's songwriting and performing genius, it's the fantastic virtuoso Nashville session musicians who were called in to back him up. Kenny Buttrey's drumming is among the greatest ever recorded.

wowowowoowow Dylan! 60 years and still rolling.... this song reminds me of a girl I loved since she was born, too young, but we stayed friends...she was IT... Most of what i've written somehow seems to be about her...etc.../////
Very nice I love this song and Bob your most excellent voice and harmonica in this is just thrilling! Thank you so much Bob for all the beauty you have given to my life! It is my birthday today and listening to you is most important every day but today especially! I love you Bob and pray for you every day for protection, preservation, prosperity in every way and for every blessing possible! Nice that the lyrics are added in the description. I have never seen that on the official Bob Dylan channel before; that is often a job I like to do in the comments! 🤍 xox
I've been looking for the real version of this song! Accompanying Dylan on acoustic guitar and harmonica are members of "The Nashville A-Team", including guitarists Charlie McCoy, Wayne Moss, and Joe South; pianist Hargus "Pig" Robbins; bassist Henry Strzelecki; and drummer Kenny Buttrey, plus guitarist Robbie Robertson and organist Al Kooper, both of whom also took part in the New York sessions. In my opinion, Dylan is one of the most creative songwriters.
One of my favorite Dylan songs and not sufficiently renowned, except for "To live outside the law you must be honest". But the lyrics throughout are so clever. It's what Dylan is known for, after all.

Dylan's harmonica and Buttrey's drumming in a devastating duel called rock and roll.

Finally thats' on youtube, dear old Bob
you can listen to this song many many times and still is a lovely song. That s what good music is about
After so many years after I first heard it - this song still packs a punch.
such energy in these songs
It didn't at the time but now it sounds pop music that could get radio play today.
First time I heard Jason & The Scorchers version, I had no idea it was a classic. I’m crazy over the Scorcher’s turn! This Bob guy does a pretty good job, too.
I'm right here, Bob.
Absolutely awesome song it just suddenly caught me off guard when I first heard in the sixties. So many great songs on this album.
My favorite since I bought in August of 66
Stellar performance.
His electric masterpiece
My Mom had to remind me of this song last night. Thanks Bob!
when he painted his masterpiece. 30 years listening and not being fed up ... amazing
John Winston L loved to play with words, let’say, even more this one!!
Beautiful bob
Play Dylan Play! Love that insane harping 💯
wowowowoowow Dylan! 60 years and still rolling.... this song reminds me of a girl I loved since she was born, too young, but we stayed friends...she was IT... Most of what i've written somehow seems to be about her...etc.../////

Happy birthday, Bob!
How possibly you may not like this song?
I love the way he says my name ...
🤍 xox
Bob can sing those feelings
Que grande sos loco, gracias por todo lo que nos dejaste y lo que nos dejas. Ídolo
Favorite bobby tune
I've been looking for the real version of this song! Accompanying Dylan on acoustic guitar and harmonica are members of "The Nashville A-Team", including guitarists Charlie McCoy, Wayne Moss, and Joe South; pianist Hargus "Pig" Robbins; bassist Henry Strzelecki; and drummer Kenny Buttrey, plus guitarist Robbie Robertson and organist Al Kooper, both of whom also took part in the New York sessions. In my opinion, Dylan is one of the most creative songwriters.
The drumming was awesome!
with kris kristofersson keeping the floor clean.
One of my favorite Dylan songs and not sufficiently renowned, except for "To live outside the law you must be honest". But the lyrics throughout are so clever. It's what Dylan is known for, after all.
To live outside the law you must be honest. Damn Bob
Happy Birthday, Bob.
Jason and the Scorchers covered this and killed it!
Such clever lyrics
forever fresh
Fabulous artist
