0:59 here’s my tip for registering for a baby, or for a wedding. Add things you REALLY want and need first. Once all those items are almost all purchased off your registry, add your second tier items, then your third when that gets low, etc. That way, you’re more likely to get your top needed items and then if you get extra stuff that are just for fun or because you needed more stuff on your register, that’s just a bonus!
You are the cutest! It so much fun watching you go threw your first pregnancy. It brings back so much memories. My oldest turns 43 in January. Enjoy every moment, it goes by so fast.
12:31 for next year: stop on thrift stores all year long and pick up Christmas books, then have a cute little advent box with 25 books to read to baby during Christmas. The next year, wrap all 25 since they’ll be older and get the concept, and let them unwrap one to read each night before bed during the month of December. ❤️
Just some advice. Don’t get newborn diapers get size one. It’s a waste because they grow out of newborn so fast. Size one will last him longer, you can always fold the top down if he comes out a little smaller.
@@marissacrouch6124 my baby was a preemie and grew out of them in a week. It’s not worth it especially bc you can fold down diapers if there too big. And her baby is measuring big so she should be getting size 1 instead even if her baby weighs 7lbs
@@Haybuggy my baby was 3 weeks early and was pretty small but I felt like if they were too big they leaked more. Also their guesses for babies size on ultrasound are notoriously inaccurate. One pack of newborn size can’t hurt lol but to each their own.
Someone gifted us a cloth diaper service. That was a great option while we were at home and no diaper rash. It was super easy with covers. We only used disposable when we went out. Good luck with little man ❤
I’m only a teen but I know Huggies is really good😊 . Can’t wait for baby Haddock. Baby boy ❤your gonna be the best mom Kenn! Can’t believe your 6 months already!🎉
As a mom who has had 3 kids in the last 3 years I can tell you that with my first for the first 8 months of life we would only buy Huggies but then we used Costco and target brand diapers. You honestly can’t tell the difference. To the point that for my second and last baby we only used Costco and target brand diapers. They never developed a rash and we saved so much money. We also did the Costco and target brand baby wipes they work amazing. For diaper rash from my babies being introduced to foods we used disitin I still use this for my 9 month old. Hope this helps. I also know that Huggies manufacture also makes store brand diapers. One more thing for the umbilical cord diaper problem you just fold the top of the diaper a little and it won’t bother them. I had a 7lb baby and my heaviest was 8lbs 7 oz can tell you that they both lasted in new diapers for about a month which was like 2 of the large target newborn diapers.
My baby got a rash right away from pampers, I’m using honest and hello bello right now and i like them and I’ve also heard coterie is really great! (Not related but if you plan on breastfeeding get the silverettes and earth mama nipple butter it will save you 😩)
My son is 2 and our favorite diapers are Huggies. Costco has an awesome return policy on diapers you might check out. Our favorite wipes are the Up&Up Target brand. The honest ones are nice too.
Do not worry about too many diapers!!! If you have to size up and still have a heap in the lower size then you can always donate them to a women’s shelter or food banks etc Best to have too many then not enough
Just from Mom to a New mom you can order for a couple of bucks I think ist around 50$ a diaper tryout package. each kind of diaper you get around 5 diapers and you get probably 12 different kinds with all informations also about costs. They also offer to try different hybrid diapers and washable diapers even Swimmdiapers. that is really convenient for new moms. I got my trial package as a babyshower gift 😊
I’m not a mom but I’m an aunt and My sister uses aveno baby shampoo and the conditioner and the lotion and it works so well plus it never irritates the skin
I used honest and hello bello diapers with my last. My first I used luvs and Huggies and honest and pampers. Water wipes and pampers wipes were the best.
i’m a first time mom as well and from what people are saying honest diapers leak a lot more and so far huggies or kirkland brand have been the best so far!
Definitely a good then to check baby gear in person. It may look great online, but in person it may not be exactly what you want in terms of ease of use, or fit for your car, work with other items you really do want.
Have you thought about using Terry diapers? (I’m assuming they are called that in the USA I’m from the uk and we call them Terry nappies) ….. babies tend to get on with them really well no matter how sensitive their skin…. But obviously it does involve more work for the parents x
My girls both did best with the members mark diapers at Sam’s club.. but I came to say Target is GREAT about exchanging diapers for the same brand so if you get too many newborn and have unopened ones you can exchange them for the next size
You should definitely get an organizef for your bedroom for the middle of the night for you and your stuff such as breast pump stuff and breast pads wipe warmer etc you don't realize how much YOU need and especially in the middle of the night when ur half asleep and dont wanna keep going up and down light on and off
*Just saying pampers is full of parfume, my kids get so much rashes from them, but I live in normaly so that is the only brand I know anything about, since Norway has different brands*
It's fun seeing your excitement! Babies are precious. Most diapers contain chlorine/other chemicals so consider using the chlorine-free brands &/or do some research for helpful information.
Hated honest felt like they didn’t absorb well/leaked a lot. Pampers gave my son bad rashes. We liked Huggies! Our favorites are rascal & friends(Walmart) or Millie moon!
When it comes to diapers, you will want to try all kinds of brands. My son leaked so bad in Huggies, pampers fit well. So did the up&up brand. Very comparable to pampers. Luvs the padding that absorbs didn’t even cover by sons crack. But truthfully each baby is different. Congratulations!
We did the honest subscription box for my son and they always worked great. Good absorbency and no fragrance. He also has eczema and it was never a issue
We loved our snoo until switching to the crib, it’s a hard transition since the crib didn’t rock or play noise when he got fussy, we ended up trying a mini crib as a last resort and he loved that more than the big crib! We also got a heating pad and laid it in the crib during bath time and then removed a little before putting baby in the crib so it was nice and warm and snuggly for him. I believe that helped our transition from snoo to crib a ton also! We also found that both of our babies loved the maxi-cosy swing more than the mamaroo and it’s cheaper which is amazing!! For breast feeding or pumping just make sure to get sized for your flanges! Makes a world of a difference in out put having the correct sizes and if you plan on bottle feeding also I HIGHLY recommend the evenflo balance bottles, they are made specifically to mimic the nipple and help a ton with nipple confusion!
I wouldn’t recommend Honest diapers, we had lots of blowouts as did my sister-in-law. Size 1 is one size bigger than newborn, so you may want to get some newborn size as well. They often have an “N” for the size. Pampers Pure and Kirkland (Costco) brand worked well for us.
Keep in mind that when you’re getting car seats they have an expiration date that you can only use them so long you can’t get one car seat and use it for all your kids they do expire same with packing place you can only use them for so long and you need to purchase one again so lotta safety things parents forget about.
If you want to skip newborn diapers and go to size 1 so that you don't waste newborn diapers you could just food the edge down so that it does not rub on the belly button while waiting for the umbilical cord to fall off.
All the nen fam sisters are sooo attractive and gorgeous I love all of you so much and mom Tiffany is the coolest and prettiest mom I’m ever seen and know kennadee is going to be a cool mom too god bless you
We cloth diaper my 14 month old! It’s great for his skin and amazing for the environment. Get whatever car seat color makes you happy! Car seats are almost completely made of washable parts.
Oh and! Get a grow version of your stroller if possible! Once we started thinking about having another baby we realized how convenient it would’ve been to go ahead and get one that can have a second seat added!
I recommend getting the car seat that goes with your stroller. When their little you are going to want to take them on walks and it will be a while toll they can fit in the stroller seat. Its very helpful to snap the car seat into the stroller. I'm not sure if the Nuna car seat clicks into the Uppa baby stroller.
Pampers worked for mine and yes get some newborn diapers. Research all natural ointments, so many on the market these days. Also, I read to my “belly” for months and also played a wide range of music through headphones on my belly. lol! My girl loves to read and music is her favorite thing! Best wishes!
The black stroller is nice but will easily get sunbleached and become a more winered color instead. At least herre in sweden wire it is only Sunny for like 3 - 4 months 😅 I would opt for grey and a stroller with removable Fabrics 😊 good luck and congratulation 🎉
Get a baby wipe warmer. They are great especially for night changing diapers. Your baby will be in newborn size diapers a while, with a lot of changing diapers day and night.
And light colors on stroller or carseat- probably bad, when they poop explosion or barf everywhere will stain stuff even after cleaning. Dark is best- you should have window covers amd such for baby so baby won't necessarily get hot with a black cover
In my opinion - the Kirkland baby wipes are the best. I like the way pampers swaddlers look the best. They’re pretty much all white. Huggies are a bit more colourful and they have a little flap in the back that helps keeps the poop in. But depending on the size of baby’s thighs, one might fit better than the other. It’s totally trial and error.

Pampers!!! And the doona car seat!!! It also doubles as a stroller. It’s very compact and easy to unfold. Those were lifesavers for me!!
Did you know it ranked very low in safety
Strongly consider the car seat that snaps into your stroller, avoiding having to carry the ackward seat.
