Thanks for Watching and Subscribe for more nostalgia!
Back when SpongeBob wasn’t the channel’s lifeline. Good times !
Vv
Yeah back then it was Rugrats.
Rocket Power was HUGE in 2000 as well. Probably more popular than spongebob at that point. It always won the slimetime live votes.
Yeah now it is
My friend it’s their cash cow
A true taste of nickelodeon nostalgia
If there's anything I've learned from watching dozens of these old commercial compilations, it's how often breakfast cereal companies were able to say "part of a complete breakfast" as if that provides some semblance of a message that the sugar packed cereals were somehow healthy
It's crazy, I was only 6 years old when all of this aired. I didn't have much if any memories of these ads that stood out over the past 20 years but as soon as I see the first frame of one I instantly remember the entire ad.
my brother & i r twins & almost were. we turn 27 next month on the 22
I was 2!
I was 8 damn I feel old lol 😂
I want to go back to this time so bad 😩
When Nick had variety but you can already tell that Spongebob was taking over...
I think Rugrats was on all the time back then
Spongebob didn't really start taking over until after the first movie.
I think spongebob kinda spoiled us when spongebob started airing its 2nd season we sort of started demanding for more and I guess nick started giving us what we wanted only for it to start backfiring at us so in short we might’ve brought it along ourselves for being so greedy for spongebob
It's also increase on NickToons
That wasn’t until 2006/2007.
I personally think Nickelodeon was at its coolest in the year 2000! These commercials remind me of the best times of my childhood. Although there was 1 commercial at the time that used to really give the giggles. It was a Charter Communications commercial that promoted the parental controls feature and involved 3 boys running wild in the house. It would be the best day of my life to finally see it again after 21 years!!!!
Boy this brings back memories. I was 8 at that time. Back when SpongeBob got the same amount of screen time as the other shows. Then once the first movie was on DVD it all changed to where he aired more than anything else.
I think I was the same age to man I’m already 27
Never mind I was six
I was 7
When commercials used to be a thing
Actually commercials are still a thing but there not good anymore
MooseAMoose Gunner commercials now are just boring and dull.
the commercial interests died in 2017
commercials nowadays are awful. My niece watches Nickelodeon nowadays and most of the commercials aren't even aimed towards children like they were in the early 2000s and below.
Saw the Wonderball in the thumbnail.
*HAD* to see this awesome commercial again.
Those Wonderballs were 🔥🔥🔥
I miss this time in my life. I was in elementary, nothing was perfect but it was so easy to pretend it was... now all is empty
sgtzero1337 well written
Yeah same here!!!😢
so do i :( my brother & i r twins & we just started kindergarten. we just turned 26 a month ago 2day
@@popsingerstar I turn 28 next year, everything feels like it's going too fast
Same I was born ‘93 and I was 7 at the time. Turning 28 too. But I wouldn’t trade the time I grew up in to be younger. The late 90s and early 2000s was honestly the best time to be a kid to me.
Back when television was creative and entertaining.
For real
2000's the last good years
Most definitely
I feel bad for the kids who didn't grow up with mid 90s - early 2000s Nickelodeon.
All of it. I remember all of it. That summer I’d watch all day long. They played most of it constantly. Wasn’t thinking much about the commercials when I was watching (Just wanted to see the shows) but they’ve been put into my brain for that long that I remember every single one of them word for word. Those GAP Kids commercials really annoyed me, but it’s honestly just good to see them 20 years later.
I feel the same. I thought these commercials were weird and annoying and now I'm wishing the younger kids could grow up with them.
Funnily enough, Nickelodeon didn't give SpongeBob that big of a push until 2004 or so...but this felt like subtle foreshadowing, I mean...it's even named "SpongeBob's Nicktoon Summer Splash".
R.i.p spoongbob's lucky shell at 21:21
*Nick Magazine commerical at **10:38** really threw me back. I feel privledged to have been around in the last era of original, un-brideled, and un-spoiled by the Internet entertainment. Here's to you my fellow 90's babies!*
I MISS OLD NICKELODEON
so do i. i miss the splat logo b4 they changed it in 2009
''The Powerpuff Girls Movie'' is not released by 20th Century Fox and it is never released in November 2000.
2000s was the last decade of creativity in western entertainment
At least we have K Pop now. K Pop is the modern-day Y2K Pop-scene and the 1960's British Invasion. BTS is the modern-day NSYNC and The Beatles in terms of international recognition & fangirling. Even ordinary Baby Boomers know who they are.
Agreed
This was a few weeks before the network unveiled its new abstract era (2000-2002)
September 4, 2000
Let's celebrate 20 years of Spongebob's nicktoons summer splash 🍾 🎈 🎈 🎈 🎉 🌊🌅 2000-2020
It was short-lived.
Was going into 1st grade that year! And surprisingly I still remember a lot of these
my brother & i r twins & we started kindergarten
@@popsingerstar I started kindergarten this year too
I believe I was a first grader too. I was 7.
0:35, I've been looking for that commercial for YEARS!!!
6:18 You can tell that SpongeBob was already becoming the face and mascot of Nickelodeon.
Wow
“We’ll be back with more Rocket Power” is more of a threat than anything
I was 2 about to be 3 at that time. How I miss this Era of nick
LOL you couldn't even remember then. Poser.
James McIntyre no need to be rude
James McIntyre r/gatekeeping
@@jamesmcintyre4243 lmao you're a retard. i was the same age as this guy at the time and i remember a lot of commercials from this era very vividly. just because *your* memory alone is shit at age 2-3 doesn't mean it's like that for everyone else - we all develop at different paces than each other. i have fuckloads of memories from that time, and they're not fabrications in my mind i'm 100% sure; i've gone over them with my parents, many of them are pictured, it's that simple. age 2 is actually a very common age for childhood consciousness to arise hence why a lot of preschools accept 2 year olds; because a lot of them have gained childhood conscious & have the ability to learn, experience & memorize. there's kids that have memorization abilities at age 1 even; watch "INTERVIEW WITH A ONE YEAR OLD" by Dr. Arturo Trejo - kid talks in structured sentences about subjects in depth... do research before posting autistic comments lmao.
James McIntyre ppl can remember shit from 3. Actually most ppl can. U jus have bad memory if u cant💀
The better times of my young life.
Dude the snacks were why I go to the store to buy some if they had. These commercials were making the $$$.
Aww, vintage Brittany Spears 🤩
Pinky and the Brain Left Kids WB They Move to Nickelodeon
13:32 Eerie foreshadowing: "Live, starting September 11th...", "We don't know what'll happen"...
Actually, 9/11 happened in 2001, not 2000.
@@CanadaDragon1 I know, I mean foreshadowing what was yet to come a year later.
23 Years Ago, I Really Love Ms. Barbara From Meadow Park Elementary School So Much! ❤️❤️
I don't think I really started watching Nickelodeon till somewhere in 2001 but damn its wierd looking back at these. I can kinda remember the Nicktoons Summer Splash (later on I think it was Summer Beach House where they did marathons on the weekdays after Nick Jr ended)
The epitome of my childhood
9:54 IT'S GONNA BE *M* *A* *Y*
Yeah, in like 8 months! Get with the times, Jenny
No you mean it's gonna be rocket power at 9:59

On August 22 2020 these commercial will be 20 years old
18:57 this blockbuster commercial hits me hard. There was something special going there as a kid.
yes dude going to the isles looking at all the movies and my most favorite the games too
I'm 26 and my parents only took me there once back in May 2001. We didn't rent videos often.
I MISS YOU CHILDHOOD 🥹🥲 REST IN PEACE
i came to this to fall asleep to… ahh the nostalgia
Even though he was ruling the Nickelodeon commentary already! Lol Its mind blowing how shit changed so fast

Taken from the short-lived summer block "SpongeBob's Nicktoon Summer Splash".
During that smackums commercial the kid literally said " wanna hit" when offering his snack to his friend.
They should make a Nickelodeon Wonder Ball, and a My Little Pony Wonder Ball!
I remember the Snick House video picks. When Nick was awesome.
so do i
I love the Now CD commercials
I feel so old lol and to think this was 18 years ago
Make that 21 this year
Good old days.. when the commercials was as better then the cartoons.. sometimes I would watch Nickelodeon just to watch the commercials
I feel like a kid again here
Please bring back the wonder ball

Mickey Mouse Fruity Peel-Outs 1:05
My brother had the blue water Pokemon top from those cereals omg
11:53 Henry Corden as Fred Flintstone and Jeff Bergman as Barney Rubble
Now I remember, Season 001 Episode 007 - Powergirl Surfers + Twisted Cinema.
Back when they cared, they stopped caring all together in 2005
That's exactly the timeframe I put as the fall of Nickelodeon. Most of their shows ended by 2005 like CatDog, Rocket Power, Rugrats, The Wild Thornberry's, and Hey Arnold. Not to mention Stephen Hillenburg leaving Spongebob after the movie released in 2004 and the show becoming terrible in the season that premiered in 2005. Plus, ending SNICK and the closure of Nickelodeon Studios in 2005 as well :(
Not to say it was all terrible. Nickelodeon still had Fairly Oddparents, Danny Phantom, and My Life as a Teenage Robot for a while, but even then, those shows still started before 2005.
Yea I agree. 2005 was definitely the downfall of Nickelodeon.
@@zerogranger The only good thing about 2005 that I can think of for Nickelodeon was Avatar the Last Airbender. Which came out February of that year. Even then I don't consider it part of my childhood because I was a teen for like 90 percent of it's airing.
@@strawberrycat. I don't consider it a part of my childhood either. Yea Avatar was definitely it's last good show they made.
Back when cartoons were BETTER

00:7 PINKY AND THE BRAIN?!?!
Afraid so.
I still say Nick stole the rights to that show, Animaniacs, and Tiny Toons.

Omg things were better back then x miss 90s things were they good?
I was in Florida vacation at that time
I was three days old when this aired
Anymore Boomerang tapes?
1:19 Bill Farmer as Goofy
15:23 Haven't seen that commercial where the claws shoot out in 20 years! I collected those toys.
Hallie Eisenberg from the commercial of Pepsi!
I can't believe they fuckin advertised the vmas like that when I was just a kid! No wonder I'm so fucked
0:36 / 32:25 Aardman: Kids Foot Locker: Faces
10:37 Holy cow, I completely forgot about that commercial...
This is nice, but what about stuff from Nickelodeon's sister channel "Nick Too?" (replaced by Nicktoons TV on several cable providers in May 2002)
Kwadwo Holloway: Actually, Nick 2 (Too) is only a timeshift channel that shows the same programming and episodes of shows from 3 hours away. Also, the channel still exists.
@@handsomenoobnub6434 it’s nickw now
This was a week after Dora premiered.
Also the summer Nick's Sci-Fi 4-pack got duped over comedy.

i was dying 2 get that wonder ball thing but dont think i did :(
I just wish they would have put a chocking hazard not for kids under 4 on the package, that way no kids would have choked on the toys and we could still buy them.
