I feel bad Charlie’s chat was being so awful to him during the whole steam and the chat (that have probably not played the game yet) told him to sacrifice child 13 on the goat skull alter and the reason was child 13 has a digit for when it is sacrificed it doesn’t die but any sigil only works while in a game. Child 13 is also just a really good card in general because every time you sac them they change form to a 2-1 card and when you sac it again it changes back to 0-1
27:00 a lot of these card games operate on seeds (like how minecraft does). So even if you restart a save your starting hand should be the same everytime because the run is technically pre-determined.

Every act adds a couple of new mechanics, and starting at act 2, there are a bunch of new characters and you can start to see some lore. Charlie has only played act 1 currently.

i did the same start as charlie did with the bees, but with ants instead, and i had the totem that made me draw an ant with each squirrel, and had a king mantis with ouroboros and trifuricate.

What really pisses me off is that most people actually think that was the end of the game. That is the first fourth of the game. This is a 14-15 hour game.
I agree. I know a lot of people enjoy that aspect, but honestly I just wanted a rogue-like card game, which I still received. No complaints honestly, especially since there’s the Kaycee’s Mod thing you can apply. I think that part allows both groups to be happy

I remember on my run that i won with, it was a kaycee spam deck. Managed to upgrade her to a 2/6 with the “add a copy effect to your hand” ability. Shit was nuts
Didn‘t really like your playthrough of that. Too much savescumming (obligatory „And you call yourself a gamer!?“ /s). Just make a new and better deck in the next run? It‘s a roguelite afterall. And skipping the recordings and cutting the puzzles outside of the card game… it just feels a large part of this section of the game is missing/skipped.
That's so coincidental, about the weevil reference; I'm playing this mobile game that had a yugioh collab sometime last year, and I got Weevil as a character lol he's alright. Main thing is poison and bugs, which is the likeness to the anime 🙃 I just thought how weird, cause other than hearing Charlie say that and me pulling him in a gacha, I haven't heard that name or cared about it, for years 😂🤷

Oh for sure. Half way through the new expansion, loving it. Little tough early on, but once you get some unlocks it smooths out.

First bit is perfection, the 2nd and 3rd act are weaker, wish it was just the first part but longer

What really pisses me off is that most people actually think that was the end of the game. That is the first fourth of the game. This is a 14-15 hour game.

I agree. I know a lot of people enjoy that aspect, but honestly I just wanted a rogue-like card game, which I still received. No complaints honestly, especially since there’s the Kaycee’s Mod thing you can apply. I think that part allows both groups to be happy

I remember on my run that i won with, it was a kaycee spam deck. Managed to upgrade her to a 2/6 with the “add a copy effect to your hand” ability. Shit was nuts

Didn‘t really like your playthrough of that. Too much savescumming (obligatory „And you call yourself a gamer!?“ /s). Just make a new and better deck in the next run? It‘s a roguelite afterall.
And skipping the recordings and cutting the puzzles outside of the card game… it just feels a large part of this section of the game is missing/skipped.
I'm really happy to see this game in full release, played this game when it was still a demo called Sacrifices must be made. Love your videos Charlie.

That's so coincidental, about the weevil reference; I'm playing this mobile game that had a yugioh collab sometime last year, and I got Weevil as a character lol he's alright. Main thing is poison and bugs, which is the likeness to the anime 🙃 I just thought how weird, cause other than hearing Charlie say that and me pulling him in a gacha, I haven't heard that name or cared about it, for years 😂🤷
