I’ll be racing Tamiya’s 1/10 version of this on the M03 chassis….watching this has got me thinking of stripping one of my 1/24 scale rc cars and popping the components into this plastic model….the detailing is just too good to keep as a static model. One point of interest which you may have done but not shown, the mini cooper s had a fuel tank on either side of the boot ( trunk) so you may need to fabricate one to put on the right side if you haven't already. Can't wait to see the next stage
According to the net search, the official introduction of the twin tank was from 1966. Before that, it seems that it was installed as an option. I referred to the '64 model. Thanks for pointing it out, I'm getting good information.

Another brilliant build. So much precision work. I've seen Coopers with single tanks but I am not sure if they are genuine ones or copies. I think you will have to be careful with your reference photos to ensure that you are looking at a genuine car.

Phenomenal work! How do you bend the Styrene strips, on the trunk for example? Softening it with the Glue or do you heat them?
Styrene strip bends easily, so bend it a little bit and stick it to the shape. Thanks.
