Mountain Lion: “They got four wheels, make a lot of noise, and sometimes run one of us over. They’re all over Southern California. What’s a mountain lion to do?!” 😮
In my experience praying to the Great Spirit rarely does any good. Take matters into your own hands. In this case, don't let your dog out unattended and keep your eyes open when you take him/her out.
That happens when real estate is being developed in some of the mountain areas of California and of course wildlife animals show up, but I'm more concerned about real human criminals prowling around to select a home to rob!
Yes that part made me mad. For a owner say that about their pet, they shouldn't have one. He probably will throw his dog to the Lion then run for his life not caring one bit about his dog :(
I cannot believe the News media allowed this t-shirt to be aired without blurring it... LOL!! Though, I am sure someone out there will get triggered and offended by it, I find it absolutely hilarious.
Nothing to blur. No cussing, no sexual innuendo. Pete let us in his home and shared his time and personality with us; it reflects his candor perfectly.
@@KTLA5 With all the things going 'PC' lately, I am happy to see and hear that KTLA5 left it in... it made the guy's story all that more enjoyable. 😉😊👍
I've seen this happen where I live. It took a while for the neighborhood to figure it out but we had one guy living on the canyon that thought it was cute to start feeding the mountain lion. He must have figured he was Grizzly Adams or something. What he didn't understand was he created a pattern of habituation and now the damned thing claimed the neighborhood as it's own and began wandering the streets looking for pets to eat. ....all because one guy thought it was cute to feed the big kitty. I'm looking at that video and wondering if that mountain lion is looking around for someone familiar. Maybe it's 15 minutes past the usual dinner time and now it's hungry and no one's feeding it "on time". I really hope I'm wrong about that one but I've seen it before.
Exactly that let's talk about this uselessness of this video, trying to make this a video to watch based off the fact that it's something that happens all the time in those Lower Mountain cities anyways
I understand people keeping their pets inside. But they need to keep themselves inside as well, including the cameraman and the news reporter. They got balls of steel. That's all I can say about that. I would not be rooming a neighborhood during the day. Or night if I knew a mountain lion was loose in it. Thank you, no, thank you.😂
I have seen bear at night while driving in the hoods it is easy to chase them away all you need is loud noise car horn or some kind of bang spooks them.
That whole area of LA county seems to get a lot of mountain lions. I've never seen them here on the Banning Bench but they could always be around. We have a bobcat that comes around now and then and probably lives under my outbuilding shed. We've been on the porch while he tried and failed at getting a rabbit. He'll just walk right by us so I never worry about it but a mountain lion would be a little more worrisome
Yeah feed the deer in front of your door! While you are at it, place blister packets of honey and hot sauce on Gizmo's back! I'm almost sure Mr, Mountain Lion will appreciate your hospitality!
"Mountain lion shocked to learn 2 legged creatures built wooden boxes all over his front yard."
"There goes the neighborhood."
My thoughts too
@@seeharvester Den and burrow prices about to skyrocket.

I was thinking the opposite.
I can see that old dude getting mauled by a lion.
"Oh, let's just feed it some bologna."
Mountain Lion: “They got four wheels, make a lot of noise, and sometimes run one of us over. They’re all over Southern California. What’s a mountain lion to do?!” 😮
Shocked??? In Monrovia? It's a foothill community that gets bears and mountain lions literally on the regular
If they’re having deer for dinner, Gizmo is just a light snack 🥡🦫
Majestic
The guy’s “sooo?” is the correct response to this 3+ minute video that could have been summed up in a 4 second tik tok.
It's Monrovia It could have been an email
Yeah because I always like to get my news and the facts from Tik Tok 🙄
The mountain lion looks well fed, must of got someone's pet already.
Please protect your pets. It’s his home. Praying for all Animals. 🙇🏻♀️❤️🩹
What is the point of praying for ALL animals. Mountain lions need to eat, too. Remember nature's food chain, and the circle of life?
In my experience praying to the Great Spirit rarely does any good.

Good to know they are so understanding, those poor animals have nowhere to go, their homes are taken over
Remember their home initially, remember safety measures remember to love remember to love man must scale back and remember
No one in the foothills should be "shocked". Mountain lions live here. Geez.
Awww I want to pet the pretty kitty. 😍
I heard one of the worst things you can do is feed wild animals. I don't know if it's true, though.
@@MrJuvefrankthat’s because they keep coming back.
"So"...EXACTLY!
I have to get one of those shirts. 😂
I bet you he’s not going to quit feeding the deer
Beautiful cat !
Everyone is smiling. Dont forget these lions eat people.
No, they don't , their main source of food is rodents, especially rabbits, racoon, possum and deer. And occasionally chickens and small pets.
We built in the mountain lions’ turf.
This cat looks well fed and healthy. Probably looking for an opportunity for something easy for a change or a mate.

Can't people just put a spring snare outside to snare the animal so fish and game warden can go and relocate it somewhere else?
