Edges would help you in identifying objects and vehicles..one vehicle will be DISTINGUISHED from other and can be seen through edges.

The Non Maximum Suppression step did not seem very clear to me. I understand how you grouped the edge directions into groups but the actual details of how to suppress the individual pixels was lacking. But the rest of the video was very helpful.
