I know everyone listening to this really gets it. We listened to Hundred Reasons years ago and all their songs have such emotions attached to them during those times. We knew they were amazing and wondered why they weren't bigger but we didn't mind because they were 'our' band. To have them back 20 years later is such a treat and I'm so grateful and stoked to hear this sound again. They'll always be 'our' band.
Nailed it! It's criminal that HR were overlooked after the first album. They're sounding better than ever. Saw them live last week, just unbelievably good still!
The musical world is a better place with ‘Hundred Reasons’ in it…….ahead of their time by at least a decade and should have been global superstars. Welcome back guys !!!
I've been chatting to a guy called Jim from a band called Hedra who tells me he helped you in the early days with his label called black canvas records, he set up with his band mates and radio one played your track, what an incredible story!
To come back with an album as superb as Glorious Sunset despite all the members being busy with life and other commitments just shows what a fantastic band Hundred Reasons are. I honestly think it's even better than the stuff from two decades ago.
I loved you guys around 2004. They're not very famous in Japan, and I forgot your names, so I kept asking Google for a week. I finally found it. You were still making such great music. I was young, but I'm old now. When I come to Japan, I definitely go see it.
I absolutely adore this. Every track released so far has been absolutely phenomenal. It genuinely is so good to have you guys back and back in full form at that. ❤
Loved Hundred Reasons so much....seen them live loads......back in the day..in Newcastle......just a mint band with mint songs...great voice and air drummed the hell out of the songs.............love them man......
So pumped for this record. Loved these guys since they were floor and jetpack playing splash in Woking. It's been too long between records. Will always have a special place. We'll done lads welcome back
Yes I agree - I love Idlewild and Hundred Reasons equally and can imagine listening to the new HR record in 20 years the way I still listen to The Remote Part now. Fantastic
Had no idea HR were making a return ... is it all the same line up as during IAOS with Paul Townsend etc?? Last time I seen them live ... I am sure the singer from Twofold was playing guitar?? It was in Leeds, all I remember sadly. Blimey, how time flies. HR created one of the best debut rock albums ever made by any band in the world with Ideas Above Our Station. It was just that good. Amazing when a band produces something like that, oozing and on form. I remember the little E.Ps they released just before it come out, you could tell they were making something big to come. I bought all of the releases. Right up to Shatterproof I think!! .. A time the DIY scene across the country was producing other oustanding bands such as Dugong, And None Of Them Knew They Were Robots, The Copperpot Journals .. I must have attended 1000s of these shows and as a result, got to see HR a good few times. Cheers for the trip down memory lane and shiver of nostalgia! What a brillliant time that was to be in a band and going to gigs in the UK This track is probably my fave out of the new releases. if loud guitars (somehow) fit in over the keys, I feel this would have been 100% an HR IAOS track - you can picture it on that record. Be interesting to see how the perform it live. The other songs, I aren't so keen on. They may grow ... I used to be daft on HR, just glad to see they are playing again. Anyway. Hope to see them live out there maybe. Nice one fells \m/
This popped up on my feed, and I was so happy. Oratorio is one of my favourite songs of the early 2000s.. Such a great sound.. I just wish this song went a bit harder.
As someone else said, colin's voice just does the business. But unfortunately they have lost the punk rock fire of their youth. File along side biffy clyro, muse, and at the drive in.

Wow, way better than I was expecting....they still got it! That voice brings back such fun and energetic memories of England in the noughties.
Every time I play it, the better it sounds

I hate to say that Spotify had given me Wow by Kylie earlier today and its musical similarities led me here to note it
Really nice vibe to this.
So pumped for this record. Loved these guys since they were floor and jetpack playing splash in Woking.

They've now got Jack from Marmozets on guitar
It's a shame they never made an album with the ep one sound

SO STRAP YOURSELF IN AGAINNNNNNNNN!
