The amount of people defending Corey Feldman's horrific attempt being a "serious songwriter/artist" is absolutely mind-blowing... a lot of Goonies fans out there apparently. Also, for anyone who feels like I'm going too hard on Corey... please do your research. He's not a very good person. How he treated his "Angels" back in the day was very cult-like and exploitative. Yeah, he had a rough childhood but that doesn't excuse sexual misconduct and being an overall sketchy person.
The people defending Feldman, sorry Feldawg (bonfire podcast), are the people who peaked at highschool particularly in the 80's😂. They never moved on and keep telling old stories from the old days when they made 5 touchdowns in the highschool playoffs, sitting around a bar all night after working a shift at some shitty factory. Yep.. we all know those people

I think that was a pretty common theme when trying to sell music. When the Corey's were doing drugs they were also making softcore porn movies. That was pretty much the end for them in terms of acting and obviously Corey Haim lost his life to drugs. It's a sad, but common tale. I don't judge him for it though. I think people often over react to sex. Especially if the participants are adults. If he was a pedophile or physically abusing people like cutting, bruising, or burning them then that's another story.
His cover of Gerard Mcmann's Cry Little Sister was brutal. I didn't like Marilyn Manson's cover either but Corey's literally made me cry from pain.
My big thing is when he abandoned Corey Haim. CH died by himself, desperately looking for companionship. Then he proceeds to name drop Corey Haim every chance he gets in a sad attempt to retain some legitimacy.
It's almost impressive that in like 30 years of doing this, he hasn't even managed to accidently get a bit better

My wife said she had a surprise for me, and drove us to a venue, then blindfolded me and walked me to my seat. I knew other people were there based on what I could hear, but not many for the venue size I saw before blindfolded. Then she takes my hand she held as she guided me in, and I feel something on my wrist and hear some clicks. She takes off the blindfold and I see I've been handcuffed to the seat. She then tells me she wants a divorce, to have fun, and leaves. If that wasn't bad enough, I then see Cory take the stage. WORST day of my life.

But if it doesn't work out and his name and band are taken off of shows due to lack of tickets sold and if Fred Durst and him no longer get along, he may just slide back onto talk shows and bring up his whole debacle of the past and throw more fibs to gain notoriety again just to stay relevant or what left he can gain.

Thank you for posting this, I never rated myself as a guitar player…until now. I feel like David fucking gilmour. Christ, my humble band in the 80’s and 90’s were never exactly packing em in but I tell you what, next to this, we were steadfast pros. One thing mind Joshua, in 1994 I assure you Corey Feldman had zero clout in Hollywood, that had long since evaporated. I know a lot of people feel sorry for him over the child abuse stuff and look, I suffered sexual abuse as a 10-11 year old, it’s awful, it takes time to heal etc, but he’s not covered himself in glory, he’s used it as a way to garner publicity, forever promising he’s going to name names then refusing to do so, not to mention that he’s apparently been abusive toward his ‘angels’; you’ve even got some fools suggesting he deserves a pass because he got abused as a kid, which is bullshit, there’s no proven correlation between suffering abuse as a child then going on to be abusive yourself, usually studies show the opposite, you’re super sensitive to repeating patterns and go out of your way not to. Anyway didn’t mean to get too serious so fast there but has to be said. On a lighter note, those dance moves had me in stitches, what I’m going to call ‘the cross trainer’ move maybe the best. And yeah that guitar solo, pure gold, he makes the worst 80’s metal shredder look like django Reinhardt…😂

So, I know this probably sounds dumb, but I think Fred Durst has a big heart deep down. There’s videos where Corey is doing a set and Fred comes in and joins him on stage and you can just tell by the way he’s trying to lift Corey up and make him feel good by dancing to the music bobbing his head to the music… it’s really quite adorable and endearing actually. Regardless of how you feel about Corey Feldman and who he is… Fred seems like a sweeter person inside than he ever tries to let on… idk
