I'm a 290 year old stupid mother fucker lmfao and Tom has some good raps I have 0 things against him. Honestly i have no idea who he is on a personal level for all i know he isn't even a real person maybe he's a straight ai bot maybe he is human and awesome but i agree he has talent but playing it safe saying the same shit over and over i like some and others literally sounds exactly the same. Good on him for making massive money of the same old shit over and over sometimes you get lucky and ride it out but the day will soon come he will change or retire. But rap battling isn't his thing that's why he's avoiding Upchurch and no i don't care but it's obviously the reality of this game. I'm not arguing or trying to start shit it's my opinion nothing more nothing less. Have a beautiful day folks

I am a #HOG fan all the way, but I have never seen one of your reactions before. You are spitting facts as much as Tom is. I have singers/groups that I LOVE, but I don't love every song they have done. I agree 100% he is not the first political rapper but he did blow it up. I agree with all of your overall perspectives, white rappers, it usually comes down to Eminem and Tom, my first love was the Beastie Boys. It is amazing to me how many reactors didn't know they even existed. I have subscribed to your channel because of the truth and honest reaction! Hope you reach your goals. ❤

The reason why so many of Tom's fans tell their age, race, and culture, in the comments is because they want to demonstrate how much of a multi-racial, multi-cultural, multi-national, and multi-generational fan base Tom has grown. It's not a "running joke". It's the testimonies of his fans that the unity Tom calls for is happening, and is being made evident by the mass-appeal he's been able to generate. They love it whether Tom raps or when he sings in other genres, because it's his messages that they love along with his multi-faceted musical artistry. He didn't rise from poverty to accumulating multi-millions of dollars by staying in "one lane" and appealing to a limited range of demographics.

    • @FaceFamous
      @FaceFamous  7 місяців тому +5

Yea it makes sense. It picked up on that after a few video some years ago. Then I started seeing it get out of hand how the age kept going up and up and up. Then I jumped in a started teasing them. Now it's just some fun doing it.
But to your point. Yea I noticed he just has a diverse group of fans.

You know what. I'll say this there are rappers who dabbled in it.
But Tom took it to another atmosphere and this is something he started with PURE POLITICAL. Nothing wrong with it.
As far as radio. To your point I couldn't say he isn't on radio. I guess I would have to be looking for it to know it. What I don't like is how because he's different he doesn't get the push that we feel he deserves. Outside of himself doing the work.

Think what people need to remember is a lot of times a particular song stating [position etc] will be the first time an individual might hear the artist. Thus, the 'political' influence or whatever may not be will mean nothing to the new listener. It is their introduction to the artist. Old to those like yourself who spend time breaking down etc things getting tired of? Yup. If he didn't restate what's important to him, new listener would have no clue. Just an idea.

The impression I have got from Tom watching his live streams, etc. He had said that he had kind of isolated himself from mainstream artists. Both because of his attacks on the industry and the political views he expresses in his music. He sees himself as a liability to mainstream artists. Also he has made a lot of career attacking mainstream. What would that say if he suddenly jumped ship on that particular foundational principle.(This last part was simply my through process if he did go mainstream) I mean he did somewhat do that when he had John Rich as a feature. However John Rich left mainstream awhile back and he isn't hip hop.

    The phone comment was interesting.
As you pointed out that part in which he sounded like a typical Canadian, "wom wom wom", the way you said it reminded me of how characters in old cartoons like The Simpsons would sometimes have other characters sounding just like that when speaking on phones, "wom wom wom", it was babble when heard. It just so happens, where you point this out, he "is getting off the phone with presidents", so they can sound like babble to him "wom wom wom" on the phone too. Nice lol
Also, again with the comment on his stuff getting old. Totally agree, and I am still a fan.
I disagree in that it "isn't necessary". It's cool you were a Psychologist, so maybe you'll be familiar with this idea. People's systems/structures can't be uprooted willy nilly, they must be replaced by an alternative system/structure, or else the person plunges into chaos, or they just won't pay attention to the other system/structure, or they will antagonize the other system/structure.
For instance, you can't just get rid of holidays, you would have to replace holidays with alternative holidays.
You can't just tell a patient in a psychological session what the answer is even though you know it, you have to walk them through to the solution until they grasp it themselves, hopefully.
In the same fashion, we can say the current cultural system is one in which people have shorter-attention spans, read less, and require something to constantly pay attention to.
This is evident in Tik-Tok, UA-cam, and POP music.
To get in the lane of the listener, he has to CONSTANTLY do something similar but slightly different, so his sounding repetitive is something like he has achieved a POP status of some kind. Even in this song alone, there are constant flow switches, different cinematic themes, and a story being told all at once, which is what people crave, and stacks/stiches different elements of POP together.
He has to slowly bring us all along for the ride, and out of the pop mentality. This is also evident in the longer songs. It's like using Pop against itself, or rather, stacking pop on top of another pop. Dang, it's anti Tik-Tok and Sin. This is a virtuous psy-ops.

GREAT COMMENT 👍🏻. yea it caught my attention how his accent broke through like that. But yea it could be right he may of purposefully did it. It just sounded funny.
But on the Psyh thing. True all people have to be walked through things and change definitely like they say can't happen over night.
The flow switches and cadences and scenery was fantastic. Him bringing us along and together is awesome and he is great at that. But like I said later if he were more willing OR maybe if other artist would work with him he can also branchnout to a wider audience. But I believe someone told me in the comments. He doesn't want to do that one with his close associates. Which I respect that. He definitely has gained a cult following and pop status among his fans. Which is a great thing for the style or rap he does (Political) because it's hard to achieve greatness in that area because politics divides a nation. But he points out the hypocrisy of politics and law and legislation. Which is great.
Society like you mentioned is all short attention spam, read less, and pay attention because of social media. Microwave society indeed.
But I rock with what you said. Again great synapses!!

@@FaceFamous There is always that chance that they themselves can't actually work with him, even if they wanted to.
As to why they can't work with him, well we can all shoot our shots in the dark.
Just remember, even when Nicki was dissing Ben Shapiro, she could only address Tom as "who is that other rapper in that video?" in her tweets with Ben Shapiro. Almost as if to say, she is trying to acknowledge him but can't so this is the best way she can do it.
Maybe the clear and apparent fact that there is no collaboration suggests the fact that "gatekeepers" may in fact exist? And if "gatekeepers" exist? What are they gating and who's in it? Every Garden has rules, and if you don't follow the rules, if you bite the apple, you get kicked out.
These "gatekeepers" don't seem to be guarding a virtuous Garden though, so their version of an apple might be something like what Tom has taken a bite of. Something CLEARLY oriented towards GOOD but also turns people attention to something outside the flesh and onto the reality around them, and consistently. You can't be hanging out with someone who bit the apple in your Garden, you have to leave your Garden as well to talk to them. And if you leave your Garden, you have to deal with the "gatekeepers" of that respective Garden.
He might be aware of this and uses it to his advantage.
      This is just my speculation.
      Great video.

@@SocraticTroller Great response. Which I figured for whatever reason and the industry included him and that artist tried and the collab fell through. So I get it and he might rather just want to work with big Indy rappers I stead to avoid all the head ache of the system of industry managers and CEOs trying to get a take or change who he is or "damage" their artist reputation for being with Tom. Crazy work though and dumb. But I get it.

    • @SocraticTroller
      @SocraticTroller 7 місяців тому

@@FaceFamous Unfortunately, "politics" is not just what we see in Government, politics is a system that has the potential to include everything but shouldn't. A leviathan, a beast. Government is only that which facilitates the behavior of politics.
For music can not only re-orient leaders in the proper direction but has the potential to make leaders out of the ordinary citizen, like you or me. So if you control the type of music, you control a potential avenue of the type of citizens you have and the type of culture/politics you had envisioned. Music mostly centered on bad apples will produce a culture a bad apples, "rotten apple effect" right? With the occasional champions/figureheads (Kendrick, J. Cole, and etc.) allowed but are not consistently clearly good to show you we aren't completely bad.
When music has a good story, or a truth, that is just enough to inspire to commit acts of kindness and orient people towards a different culture, might be a no no.
...Oh shit, if politics is the "beast", it makes sense to use "God" mode as you said. Because God is above all, and that which is oriented towards God, always slays the leviathan (i.e., the beast, which is the politics) and takes what was best. Dang.

But asking someone to continue to display their full talent to expand their fanbase BECAUSE HE A GREAT ARTIST. AS I SAID AND MENTIONED IN THE VIDEO is triggering for you then I don't know what to tell you😲🙄.
