I just want you to know that as a child of a single mother and always growing up on the lower end of the financial stick, I wouldn't trade any of it for the world. My mom being a single mother has taught me so much in life like what it means to be a woman and become an extraordinary woman myself. And seeing my mom work endlessly to give me ans my siblings a better life has never grown anything but appreciation for her. If you ever think you're not good enough for your daughter I can tell you that you are, coming from a daughter of a mother who was in your shoes. Just make sure any time you doubt yourself you look at your little angle and remember that no matter how small she is she knows her mommy is always there for her and that's all that will matter to her. She's not gonna grow up and think about how she didn't have that one toy and everyone else did, but instead she'll think about how even after long days at work her mom still came home and gave her a bath or made her food or even sang a song to her. Growing up isn't always about having the "best life", it's about having people that love you help you grow. Never feel like you can't take on the challenges at hand because you can. I wish you and you little angle all the best. Ik whatever yall are going through will turn into something grand in the end. Xxx

This is a beautiful story! I’m a 44 year old man who has never been married nor had children. 3 years ago a child came through my school who had been abandoned by his parents. In short, I became a foster parent and in November 2020, I adopted him. Much like you, I had no purpose in my life. I had no drive and was depressed more than not. But becoming his father gave me a purpose, a reason to exist and to be the best I could be. We live in a tiny mobile home that’s older than me. We have what we need and can save for what we want. Many things in this life seem to be out of reach, it’s December and I’m still making payments on last summers 5 day vacation, but we have each other. My little boy has changed my life and given me a purpose and reason to be all I can be. I don’t know how I’ll buy him his first car or send him to college but I just have to keep trusting God and know that He will make a way.

Mom's are human too. I remember graduating high school early because I knew I would give birth in April. I waited for college until my youngest was 5. I took classes at the community college during the day while the kids were at school. Then worked nights as a bartender... It was exhausting. I did homework alongside my kindergartener and 3 Rd grader. We made it. My children are now 16 and 13. I have my degree in a field that I love. I make out very well financially and I look back on it all and am so thankful for god, my children and the strenthg he gave me to juggle it all at such a young age. They grown so quickly as you said. But, if she didn't have parents that supported her, and allowed her to live with them, and pretty much bought everything for her baby (she wasn't old enough to get a job when she had her baby, so she couldn't financially support her baby, or buy the things she needed) this video would have been an entirely different video! Not every teen parent has a supportive family, or a family that can help financially. And I didn't hear one thing about the father of her baby. Where is he? Is he supporting the baby in any way? Children need a mother AND a father. Children who are raised by both parents are more likely to succeed in life, more likely to finish school, and are less likely to commit crimes, and end up in jail. That is a fact. This little girl needs her father in her life. I didn't see any videos or pictures of her with him, or any pics of him, period. I hope she is going after him for child support. He shouldn't be able to get off that easy, and not take care of the child he helped to create. If she wants to do right by her child, she needs to make the father be responsible. And if he refuses to do so, take his ass to court! Then, if he still won't help, have him put in jail for failure to pay support! It takes two to make a baby, and the father shouldn't get off that easy.

Maddie. You and Everly are so precious. I was a teen mom too, although I was in my upper teens - not 13! Bless your sweet heart - I don’t know how I would have handled that at 13. You are strong and you are brave. I am sure many people tried hard to push you towards abortion, but you chose life! You are STRONG for making that choice for your baby and standing against so many negative people trying to convince you otherwise. I found your channel today and have been watching a little bit of it. It’s just really beautiful to see you and your daughter growing up together. What a beautiful story. Don’t listen to any of the naysayers. Although teen pregnancy isn’t to be glorified or encouraged, life happens. And you have shown how beautiful it can be. I think my favorite part of what I’ve watched so far was when you told of your mom’s reaction and her saying “we love babies in this house”. That was amazing. There was no forcing you into an abortion that you would have regretted. She responded in pure love. It’s easy, just from her response, to see why you are such a loving mother as you are. By the way, my “baby” is 28-years-old now and just starting a family now as well. It was a huge blessing to be a young mom (although difficult - I could not have done it without my parents!). And now be a young grandma is a blessing I can’t begin to describe. So while teen pregnancy isn’t what should be encouraged or glorified, once faced with the situation, handling it with grace and dignity and making the most of it is what we do. You chose LIFE, for your daughter to live and have the life she has now. You gave her that. You’re obviously doing a great job, ready for the challenge, and have a great support system. But for those teen moms who don’t, and who aren’t ready, there are SOOO many families out there who can’t get pregnant and so desperately want to be parents themselves. Those people are just waiting for a beautiful baby to love and raise. Please give your babies a chance at LIFE and being loved too, even if you’re not ready or able to do it yourselves. Remember, you are always stronger than you think you are and can do more than you ever imagined. Love your babies and enjoy every moment with them. They truly grow up so fast. God bless you and your journey Maddie. I hope to be able to continue watching you and Everly grow up together and see what God had planned for your lives.

And people always judge young mom's all the time .. but the younger ones go harder then the ones in there late 20's or 30's having kids. I had my oldest at 22 and people called me dumb then... but guess what I take care of mines all three. My best friend had her oldest at 15 and she is one of the best mom's I know. May God Bless You on your future journeys with this beautiful baby girl💞. She will always know how much you love her. This is absolutely beautiful ❤️!

Are we all serious right now? Am I the only one that finds the fact a 13 year old is a mother.. yes she clearly loves and cares for her.. but are we okay with sharing the message of "see kids can be good parents"?! She's fortunate to have a family to financially support her and buy the diapers and food and didn't kick her out of the house. I guarantee most kids who have kids wouldn't have this luxury. A public announcement needs to be made to condone kids having kids, and avoiding sex until they're older and the importance of protection. Come on America this is not okay

For real. When I was sixteen my mother said I was legally able to get a job to help support myself. She couldn't afford to support me and dreaded the day the child support would end. Imagine if I was thirteen and pregnant? I would have been kicked out if I kept the child. My mom wouldn't have been able to afford to get me an abortion. Not everyone has an environment they can bring a child to.

That's not the point of this video ♡ The point is that teen pregnancy can also be a beautiful experience, and it is a matter of choice. Yes not everyone is privileged to buy those 'essentials' ♡ But for whatever you can give, regardless of your money or status, you still have the option to be happy, no matter how hard it is for you. She also had her own struggles in life, and that shouldnt be invalidated just because it seemed as if she was optimistic about it.
She also had her downs, but then the love for her child and that happines are greater than any challenges and hardships she faced.
Smth that no matter if you are a teen parent, or an adult parent, you have the choice to do or feel so.

Did you just say a matter of choice? So are you supporting teens to get pregnant when they can't even provide a sandwich by themselves? When you bring a soul to this world you are the one responsible to feed them and be their provider emotionally and financially, not your parents, no wrong in asking for their help but not relaying on them completely. She is just 13 she has 11 to 12 years ahead of her to graduate from college and find a job.
I just hope that all these teens can live a proper life

This message isn't just about "see kids can be good parents" it's about how she understands that having a kid at 14 is crazy and not normal, and it's something you never really expect, but in doing so, she realized her baby had been tye missing part of her life and what really made her life feel worth living. Yes, it is important to tell kids to practice safe sex and to stress the importance that having a baby will be hard, expensive and overall strenuous, which is not something a 13 year old should be doing, but this video is to uplift her child and tell her how much she loves her, not to praise teenage pregnancy as some sort of hailed gift.

While I agree with the overall positive message in this video... please don't have kids at 13. Life is hard, and it seems like this young lady's parents are supportive, but not every parent wants to go through raising a child and that child's child. Enjoy your childhood, parenting will come later in life. Find a purpose in life, chase the dream, THEN earn the right to be a parent. It's easy to make kids, but not when you're still depending on others to make it through teenage parenthood.

It’s awesome that she’s looking at her child as a living being that depends on her and not as something that can just be discarded. That being said, I really hope this video doesn’t inadvertently ENCOURAGE other teens to get pregnant just to “have someone that will love them unconditionally” or something that will “make them feel whole” or anything like that. So many teens are sexually active because they’ve been abused in one way or another and they look for love and “completion” in the form of romantic relationships and sex. Bringing another human into this world to fill your own needs and desires when you are not even capable of caring for yourself (legally, mentally, emotionally, physically) is completely irresponsible and selfish. And I’m not trying to be mean by saying that. When we put ourselves before others, that’s selfish. Obviously there are situations young girls can’t control, like being raped and getting pregnant that way. When I say “irresponsible and selfish” I’m talking about either being sexually active to fill some relationship hole (instead of filling those holes in a healthy way), or straight up getting pregnant on purpose when you can’t care for a child on your own. I also feel that many adults who get pregnant make horrible parents and really screw over those children. Babies are set up for success when they are born to mature, responsible, selfless adults. A teen may be mature and responsible and good hearted but they still are only a child themselves. I’m not making this comment to offend anyone. I just hope that any teens reading this realize that having a child is so much more than having someone that loves you. Because guess what? Probably half the world’s population AT LEAST, hate their parents. Babies may love you. But babies grow into teens and then into adults. Please keep that in mind. This is coming from someone who’s sister decided she wanted someone to love her unconditionally. So she had a baby. Then another by another man. That man molested her first daughter at only 2 years old and went to jail. Then she had another baby by another man. They are children so they can be quite irritating at times. She screams at them when they don’t listen, she drinks and she smokes pot. Do you think those children are being raised in a wholesome environment? Nope. They’re growing up completely jacked up. All because she got pregnant for selfish reasons to fill some hole. Babies are not here to fix us, and THEY will be the ones to suffer when you realize the hole is still there and now you have another human to care for and raise.

Yes, sometimes, many people of all ages (not only teenagers or young adult) want a baby to selfish purpose and then treat their children like dolls or neglect them. Babies are human beings and have needs and emotions. Obviously, this isn’t the case of the young lady in the video, who seems a very good and responsible mother. I’m sorry for your sister and their children especially for all the abuse. Anyway, I don’t know in which Country you live, but I think that if these children are living in a bad situation and you know it, you should seek help from the institution (like social services or associations that care for children).
In Italy, for example, we have association like “telefono azzurro” that children can call when they are abused or live in a bad environment (abuse, poverty, etc..).
