I have personally photographed 331,and stood on top of it's massive hull ,while examining the shots that just bounced off its heavy armor
My brother and I climbed all over 331 when we were kids visiting the museum at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. The vehicle -is- massive and yes, the hit marks are impressive.

I’ve been on and in 331 when I was at Aberdeen for training
Watching the video of Jagdtiger at Iserlohn surrender, you'll be surprised how fast it drives on road !.
Makes me happy to see the sources in the description. No idea why some historians such as Mark Felton don’t include sources in their videos.
Take Mark Felton videos with a grain of salt
Wikipedia is not a source, it is written by anyone, heaps of mistakes on that website and if you try to correct it, the corrections are withdrawn. Mark is English so honest unlike US narrators.
Mark’s stuff goes downhill once the music stops.
At the end of WW2 nothing in the allies arsenal could penatrate the frontal armor
Great tank and a great crew. They certainly all did their duty well :)
the last german offensive was operation spring awakening in the east in march 1945, not the west against Americans
Last offensive in the west
@Eric-kn4yn last offensive in the west was operation watch over the rhine, better known as the battle of the bulged
2:03 Nordwind was NOT the last German offensive of WW2
Nice video. The two Jagd Tigers certainly did some damage before being disabled and abandoned by their crews.
Detail is a credit to researcher
Great story, that’s one amazing tank, and an amazing crew. 👍
Nice video! Do you have any more detailed information about the location of the engagement in which the Kampfgruppe Göggler is said to have destroyed 20-25 american tanks somewhere north of Neustadt? I couldn't find any info in your sources, (and many more [writen and online] I checked during the last year)
U see the disparity in skill of nazi soldier n their opponent
25 kill vs 10 received shoot
If it sport competition with equal equipment they will still win with 2x inferior number
But their engineers is lacking intuition
The hull design of panther kongstiger n jadgtiger is only different in thickness
They keep former panther hull design when they can make jadgtiger more advantage with rear mounting n lower silhouette
Their innovation n design product in general is insufficiently progressed
Deos anybody know which armoured recovery vehicle is towing the jagdtiger ? around 5 mins 40 seconds i think thanks
Well put together video, v informative and some great footage.
I kinda wanna know what happen to its camouflage it looks so weird is it sun bleached Or is it just really bad looking ?
The camouflage pattern seen at Fort Benning is a kind of fantasy pattern, which is not in accordance of what is seen on photographs when it was found in Neustadt.
@@DieterUhl-Neustadtwhy confected pattern
The poor panzerjäger she's been sitting outside for too long, and that camo scheme is god awful
Handsome tank
Why didn’t they take the ammo from the other jagdtiger?
It was extremely heavy.. 🤷
Awesome work, well done.
Saw her in the 80s as a kid. It was so impressive as a 16 year old!
i have seen one of them irl crqzy stuff
Battle of the budge said they had 84 of them. When it was all said and done they had 4 left. Mainly mechanical breakdowns or fuel issues.
It is Geoggler the G as in in garage, not J sound.
True monster!
Nice !!! Thank you
it was such a beast
Скажите пожалуйста, этот ягтигр 331, он на ходу? И чего не хватает на нем
She does not run, they stripped off the old paint and"cosmeticly" redid Flage'; I don't think they are going to get Her to run/move. 😢
Great video!
I know that vehicle was almost useless! But still it looks so awesome it still is my favorite armored vehicle of all time!
It was not useless
@@gratefulguy4130 I said almost useless ! It certainly was inefficent thats for sure !
@@christianjunghanel6724 but it wasn't
@@gratefulguy4130 Ok ,explain then !
Is it still in its recoil position?
The gun is still in the recoil position, you can still see in the last few clips in the video. I personally hope they fix the gun while they restore her.
@@SurvivingHistory i was wondering if I saw it right or not but thank you for your confirmation and the hart on my comment 😃👍
Edit: I hope too to see the gun fixed after the restoration
@@SurvivingHistory fort benning has no plans, as i know, of restoring the jagdtiger but they DO plan on fixing the drive sprocket thats jammed on the assistant radio op side
What happened to 323?
As said in the video, Jagdtiger 323 broke down. This was likely caused by transmission strain as the tank's weight was too much for the mechanical gears and drivetrains to handle.
@@SurvivingHistory oh right, do we know what happened to it after? Was it transported after the fact like 331 or just left there etc
Thanks!
@@jacobvelasquez1024 I couldn't find much info on 323 as most articles and forums have 331 as the main topic. But since 323 is no longer around today, it's safe to say that after it was taken away, it was scrapped for steel afterwards.
@@SurvivingHistory gotcha thanks! Excellent vid
323 was moved several times within Neustadt by american and french troops (images on the internet and in several books show it at at least three different places (without counting the garden in which it has been found). Finally it was scrapped around 1948 at the festiival place in Neustadt.
Underpowered with a weak transmission. Most broke down or ran out of fuel.It was better to have 3 Stug IIIs than one Jagdtiger.
9 Stugs couldn't knocked out 25 American tanks.
9 Stugs would be destroyed after got 10 direct hits from American tanks' guns.
With massive Jadgetigers' armor, no Germans were killed in this battle.
@@จักษ์นาถะพินธุ They were 2 vehicles in front of a whole ass division. It doesn't matter how good the armor was, or if any of the crews survived. Their mission was going to fail no matter what. Neustadt was always going to be captured by the Americans in March 1945.
@@FraserFir-sb4lkThe argumemt was about Stugs, Sparky.
@@gratefulguy4130 The dude I responded to was arguing in favor of the Jagdtiger, Skippy. That said, it doesn't freakin' matter if there's 9 StuGs either. The US Army was rollin' into town at the end of the day either way.
Whether it be a handful of one or just a couple of the other... Them Kraut-wagons ain't stoppin' Uncle Sam boy.
I hope they are taking good care of Jagdtiger 331.
Any TIGER(all types)need good care....they are so unique, and awe inspiring.
@@RomanAquila Jagdtiger 331 is currently in its private bay at Ft Benning (Ft Moore now) with King Tiger 331 being fully restored to their ability and is inside the Tankdome, a climate controlled large warehouse building with the Panther II and Pak 43 next to it
@@keolath1343 Absolutely Glad to hear that.....they should be 100%....perfect and in running condition, like those in Europe.
My Dad was a Jagd-Panther driver, for an entire Year. In March that sweet Cat broke down, and the spare parts were Unavailable....So the entire crew Got pulled into the Infantry.
He told me she Purrrrred like a contented House-Cat, but fought like an angry Sabre-Toothed Tiger!. She saved All of the Crews lives at least 10 times(not one of the crew was ever injured). He was barely 20 years old, and he said he Cried like a Baby....having to leave her behind(to face the inbred Russians).
@@RomanAquila the vehicles will never be running as they dont have the funding thanks to the DOD not caring about it. They do also have a jagdpanther that they havent opened up and wont open up due to no one knowing whats inside of it.
As for the parts issue your dad had im not surprised since the parts that broke had to be sent back to the factory to get the correct serial number for it to be replaced with, more than likely the jagdpanther was scrapped/target practice for the ruskis.
