Do the Maps+ subscription have routable 24k TOPO maps and Forest Service Motor Vehicle Use Maps?

I am watching your videos and they are helping a lot. My question is, Can you use the maps that are on the SD card while out in the field without having to connect to the computer and transferring from the card to the unit itself?

Great extremely helpful videos, glad I found your channel! I’m looking to get a Montana 700, don’t need the 700i as I have an inReach mini I mount to myself when I ride my adventure bike. My question is can the Montana 700 connect to an audio source so I can get turn by turn directions in my helmet on long stretches of pavement if I buy city navigator. I tested the 700i and it could do that but not sure if the basic 700 can. Thank you for the help!!

hmm good question, I might have to check. Something tells me you might have just audible beeps.

This is archaic technology! Wow, garmin is a dead company walking. SpaceX is making cell phone connectivity global, and Google already has WAY better maps than Garmin. That said, I thank you for your video.

No idea what you are talking about. Global cellphone technology has been around for decades. Google maps is mediocre at best. If you’re going to state a web based map service at least say Bing.
As for Garmin… absolute go to for global use. Using your mobile phone for doing GPS stuff is sketch. Also the ability to tap in to GLONASS and Galileo is an amazing feature that almost all Garmin units allow and few mobile devices do.

@thexchox1554 I should clarify. SpaceX is making cell phone connectivity global, without the need for cell phone towers. Low earth orbit satellites will provide that cell phone coverage ... everywhere. As far as maps and Garmin, my main complaint is the Garmin graphical user interface (GUI) seems archaic to use compared to others, like Google or Bing. I'm no expert with topographical maps, nor do I hike, where you might need that level of detail. Garmin provides that, and might eventually remain as a niche service provider.
