I enjoy watching the bee handling videos.
To be able dedicated time and patience for a small return I will say hard earned. Hope you have a great memorial day Jim

I could imagine that is a hard decision to make however seems like one that must be done for the survival of the hive itself I there reasons a queen would not get mated? have a BLESSED day and keep SHARING your PASSION

Tough call. I’m not sure why she never went. If she left and didn’t come back, I would assume she fell victim to predation.

You should keep all of the queens you pinch and put them in a small bottle with alcohol as swarm lure. Thanks!

This is something I definitely want to try once we get the new house in a new location. I was looking into it and I can get a starter hive with bees for a reasonable price and they will even deliver them about a hour and half drive from me. I would have to pick them up from there. Thanks for all these great beekeeping videos, Brother!

I watch Jeff Horchoff Bees as well. He is out of Louisiana but he goes over all swarms scenarios and is amazing in teaching. Maybe a collab in the future!

She didn’t mate, and she had more than enough time to do it. The colony would have just slowly dwindled out. She had to be replaced. Thanks for watching!
