I saw them in Versailles OH on 12/1. Armored Saint was incredible, and W.A.S.P. Held their own. I really enjoyed the show.

Armored Saint would be incredible. I wore out Raising Fear on cassette back in the 80's. They never seemed to play anywhere near where I lived back then, I am glad you had a good time.
I bought that 👕 shirt on Friday. Armored Saint is one of my favorites.
Great honest,funny review. As usual. I was in the same boat. WASP decided to play 4 hrs away from me almost in the mountains (Poconos) but unlike you I opted to not go. Even tho the venue is cool but oh well. Cheers

First of all, I'm glad you liked the show so much! YEAH!
I've seen W.A.S.P. two times (2009 and I guess 2017) and I hated both times and said never again but the reason was simple: both times I clearly saw Blackie wasn't enjoying the gigs one bit. He hated being there on stage. Both shows were short, Blackie wasn't speaking between the songs at all and well... he was standing his back to the audience like 70% of the concerts. How nice was that? I spoke with the owner of one of the venues and he was mad at Blackie too because he was very rude with everybody.
However, I heard a lot of nice things about him personally and the new show lately, so... yeah, I love that he's back, he sings "Animal" again and dropped that christian crap he was so obsessed with. More power to him, I hope he'll have all success in the world!
It's all karaoke rock n roll now. For better or worse, this is where we are.
I grew up with them n So. Pasadena California and El Sereno California and I was hanging out with David Prichard for a while
I saw WASP in 1984 at the Starry night in Portland Oregon and it was great
Man, so bummed that I missed it when they came to Atlanta! I love Armored Saint, and I’m also a big WASP fan, too. I had to pick and choose my concerts for this year, so I ended up going with Down’s Atlanta show and the Sonic Slam tour (Keifer, LA Guns, Faster Pussycat). Sounds like you had a great time!
I was waiting for the David "Scott" reference! He promoted Revelation to me on The Tour Bus in 2000 as well, which I did buy.
Saw the first show of the tour in Anaheim, CA on Oct 29th. I thought it was excellent. Wasn’t very familiar with Armored Saint, but I thought they rocked as well.
Saw this show in Tempe and took my 20-something year old daughter and her BF...both def not fans of the genre but even they had a great time!

I saw the show a couple weeks ago. So, so good.
I was there V.I.P too, asked the track question to Blackie. I had never really listened to Armored Saint and they fuckin KILLED. I was there for W.A.S.P. and thought they blew W.A.S.P. away. Best part of the show though was near the end of W.A.S.P.'s set Doug threw a pick out and it landed on the floor in front of the rail. I didn't care about getting in trouble since there's only like 3 songs left so I decided to climb most of the way over to grab it. Then I feel some people behind me grab my legs and tilt me over to help me grab it. Security runs over pissed off as they pull me back over with the pick. Hahaha. Was a great night.
I was in VIP as well - I had a 2 part question but he started answering the first part right away - I had a great time - I thought the crimson tracks were really tight
I went to the Charlotte NC show sunday night it was great well worth it
First seeing either band live, and the only disappointment I felt was that W.A.S.P didn’t play *any* songs newer than the Crimson Idol (would’ve loved to hear a track or two from Dominator). Other than that, absolutely killer show
They could have played more from Last Comand, that would have made me happy, still a killer show!

Caught this tour in Cleveland. Thought both bands were great! Being more of an Armored Saint fan I didn't have high expectations for WASP , but I really enjoyed their set.
I saw then at the Agora, killer show!

I went to the show in charlotte on Nov 27th. I left Raleigh with a friend the day before the show, Saturday afternoon, made it in three hours crashed at his girlfriends dorm and spent the whole weekend in charlotte. The show was possibly one of the best shows I've ever seen! I've seen Metallica, Slayer, Guns n Roses, Breaking Benjamin and many others. Very few of those shows were as good as armored saint and wasp. I was pleasantly shocked with armored saint (i heard of them before but never listened to their music, now i have a reason to listen to them!) and of course wasp was phenomenal. If they ever come to Raleigh, I'm getting the VIP experience!
John Bush is THE Manimal. Did they play AFTERMATH? The live version on Carpe Noctum is my go to Armored Saint anthem. I am jealous. Sounds like a good show. I would like to see W.A.S.P play Mean Man as well ( Although that tune is about Mr. Holmes, so I can imagine Blackie wouldnt want to jam it.)

I saw them at the Agora in Cleveland, great show just like you said neither band out shown the other. As far as vocals I wasn't that close , I thought the vocals were a little to good, I prefer warts and all, but like you said I belive he was singing along with the tracks.

The funniest part of this video is when you say your mom was telling you your not driving home after the show , my mom is the same way , always worried I’m gonna fall asleep at the wheel and get in a wreck , I’m 47 and my family is worried still like I’m a little kid lol 😂

They never stop caring about you and worrying about you. I’m 27 and my dad always says watch the cars and be careful when I go out. They just love and worry about their kids no matter what age. I more than appreciate it from them

I always knew blackie uses backing tracks which I never had an issue with because those songs require the extra vocal tracks or else it’ll sound thin and wasp needs those backing vocals because it’s a major part of their sound

THANK YOU so much for the review! I love Armored Saint and Wasp but was unable to attend due to medical issues. I have been checking out for channel and keep up the good work! Im a old metalhead, fan of Priest,, Maiden Ozzy etc If you ever need anything in Orlando reach out, Im about 20 min to the plaza.

I saw WASP in Detroit Michigan this year. It was boring. Local Punk Rock bands in your area are your best bet.

Saw WASP two nights ago in Charlotte. Great show but yeah most of those vocals were tracks. BTW Paul Stanley is doing the exact same thing. He's singing every song but has enhancement. Personally, I'd rather see these guys use tracks and sound great as opposed to DLR, Bon Jovi and Vince Neil who sound horrendous live.
Paul is NOT singing live on any song, except a few verses in Detroit Rock City. Listen to the same song from different dates of this never ending tour, he will sound exactly the same .
Meanwhile Vince Neil is thinking.. 🤔🤯😏
I thought Blackie was awesome. Out of this world good. Armored Saint was good, but imo WASP was way better.

you mean making more money per concert than WASP makes on their whole tour?...
The issue with WASP is that Blackie lied not just about tracks, but about everything with this current tour.
The show that was promised was a return to the old set list with full stage show.
He completely lied about all of that.
The show is not the old school show, and the set list is not the old school set list.
Tickets were sold pre tour on the back of this promise.
It would be like when Kiss did their reunion tour in 1996 promising the make up, the fire, the blood, the set list etc. and then not doing any of it.
Consumer fraud at it's best.
Glad the Saint is there.
