    Thanks so much for posting. I just bought this kit for my Toro leaf blower. I unpacked it, looked at the manual and was ready to pack it up and return it. The directions are one of the worst I have ever seen. Your video showed me everything I needed to know to get this up and running. I used it today and it worked great. Thanks again.

    It's a tough and messy job using it with a blower. I've had it for years and decided to connect it to my shop vac. I added an extra length of hose for flexibilty and it worked great. It vacuumed the wet leaves, debris and roof granules without blowing it all over the place and myself. It was a lot lighter to not have to carry the blower. I've ordered a 2nd kit. Hopefully, it will give me the length to reach the 2nd story gutters without using a ladder.

    This little baby packs a punch for the price (just over 30 bucks). I'm comparing it to an old Craftsman blower that recently died after about 15 years. So far I've used it four times ua-cam.com/users/postUgkx9IdbewMd3eOaX3SS_kV4wC73v6yWG2KY and it's done an excellent job. It's light, and it moves leaves and debris very well. It's a little shorter than the craftsman, but it's fairly easy to manage. I don't ever use the front grip (requiring both hands). If I did, it would increase the distance between the blower and the debris, or it would require me to bend over awkwardly. I'm 6' 3", so I just hold it (since it's light enough) with one hand down at my side and it's a perfect fit. It's also back-heavy, making it easy to maneuver up/down/left/right motions of the blower end. As a final perk, I can actually appreciate the safety cord lock feature, since my other blower's lack of a decent one caused my power cord connector to start falling apart, due to all of the pulling, etc. If you're not ready to spend 200 - 400 on a gas leaf blower, and you don't mind messing with a cord 2 to 4 times a month, then this thing is for you.

    I have the Black two-speed electric Toro blower, and I've climbed ladders with it. The blower is a beast and moving leaves and even small branches, but I'm gonna need more lengths than what you've shown to get to the back of my house which is a full two stories. I'm gonna look into this setup and see if it's feasible for me. My other option is to use my pressure washer. I have extension poles that allow me to wash almost 3 stories up, and a curved end that redirects the water down into the gutter, but it can be ungainly the further out the pole is extended.

      My opinion, it won't work. The air flow drops the longer the tube gets. 2 stories would be bad for air flow.

    I'm wondering how it works with the vacuum system. So far nobody has shown it using the vacuum. It would seem like less work just vacuuming them up, and less of a mess. I've watched a few of the blower demos and it seems like a lot of the leaves blow back up on the roof, sort of defeating the purpose. I love Toro products and was thinking of buying the cordless blower, but I wish somebody would demo using the vacuum. I already own the Toro Ultra Blower/Vac, so this would fit. Your video was very helpful. This Toro gutter system seems much better than other companies that use the universal gutter system that seems more of a hassle .

    Hi Brian, it looks like Toro has it engineered very well. I have a Worx Universal set up on my M18 Fuel blower, and it is less than elegant. It works, but is a hassle to use. It involves using a bulky fabric tube that mounts to the long tube, and cinches with the same type of ratcheting mechanism as in your video. Holding onto the blower, and the tube is a challenge. I am in constant search of a viable solution for my gutters! Surrounded by lots of trees, I am always cleaning them out. I have tried just about every aftermarket solution, and they all fail. I tell myself if I could just come up with a “new” gutter design, I could make a fortune? 😂 In the next year a new roof and gutters will be needed, so hopefully I can find a solution then. Great Video, as always. But I am thinking I will have to send you a Nitecore light to test out! 😁🙂
    Stay safe, Healthy! Peace! 👍😁🏡🍁🇺🇸

    I have an older (or different) version of this. It is a good idea, but I think it is important to keep up with it. Once you have a lot of big wet leaves in the gutter it is difficult for my blower to do a good job. I also have an attachment for my pressure washer, but I’m less excited to use that in the cool fall. I might give it a try in the spring.
    I have had OK performance with an iRobot Looj gutter cleaning robot. It isn’t perfect and sometimes gets stuck. It is one of the better ways I have to clear a gutter if I let it go too long between cleanings. I dislike gutter cleaning, so I don’t do it as often as I should.

    Been using a husqvarna gas power leaf blower and husqvarna gutter attachment for the past 4 or 5 years, anything that makes the job of cleaning gutters easier is a win and best of all no more up and down on the ladder. Great review. Does that flex tube flop around? The husqvarna has a solid elbow. instead of a flex tube.thanks...

    • @WorkshopAddict
      @WorkshopAddict  4 роки тому +1

      The flex tube is next to the blower so it makes controlling everything easy and without sag.

    Hi. I bought this kit for my Black and Decker blower and found it to be difficult to work with. Firstly the ratchet strap was difficult to loosen. The result was that the material portion of the strap loosened and came off the strap completely off the grommet. Can't use it any more. Secondly, the adjustable vinyl sleeve became so tight (Wish some good instructions would have been included!)that I couldn't remove it from the blower. Had to cut off 1 inch of the flexible tube with a blade. ( Instructions please!); 3) The rigid sections of the tubing once locked into place could not be loosened... and I haven't turned on my blower yet Too many problems, and a clear cut instructional booklet was essential to avoid them. I wii have to either return it or get replacement for ratchet strap, for the flexible tube, etc. Any suggestions? Please respond asap. SRG

    Since this is a universal kit and you own other brands of blowers, it would have been nice to actually see how well it attached to some non-Toro blowers.

    I have one of those metal porch roofs that is very tight and it’s angles so this doesn’t fit. I have to rent a compressor and use a high pressure hose. Lucky me. I can use a small ladder.

    Gutters in Melbourne, Australia are usually wet and in the hot months, a dry mud cake sits in the gutter. How will this unit handle dry mud cake?

    WARNING: You MUST wear eye protection and a hat. If your gutters have dirt in them, you are going to get a dirt shower when the stuff comes flying out. Guaranteed! You will get dirt and debris in your eyes immediately, so protect yourself. The video shows someone blowing a gutter with NOTHING coming out. If you haven't cleaned your gutters in a long time, you are going to be covered with stuff ... no joke.

    The end has a poor design. it needs a different angle. Most if not all blow straight down into the gutter.
