Definitely, you should. We have more than 30 million kidney disease patients in Pakistan, and we dont have enough nephrologist in Pakistan. Thats the whole reason that I give so much information in my videos, so that patients learn to manage their disease on their own.

Any one can manage blood pressure. If many doctors have already failed to do so, then take your patient to a nephrologist.

I am 40/f, since 6 years i have iga vasculitis diagnosed by skin biopsy. I have so far managed my symptoms without any steroids. Last yeae ibwas put on losartan to lessen hemaruria. At that time i was experiencing paroxysmal episodes of hypertension. After losartan my hematuria in lab tests hs for the firsr time come a single +. Earlier it was always ++++.
But my episodes of hyoertension still happen.
I land in emergency where they give me a painkiller for the splitting i have.at that time and treat my nausea.
I was told by rheum and neph that i am not hypertensive because bp for those ppl remains high consistently for long periods of time.
How can i handle these episodes of high bp better.
They happen at a moments notice .
My usual bp is 100/70
During episodes it is 130/100, 150/100
With splitiing pounding headache, vomiting and nausea. Kidney funtion is fine. Egfr ~100

I think you need to change your rheumatologist and nephrologist based on just this bullshit information that BP remains high in these patients. Find another nephrologist nearby and start kidney disease management with him. You can also watch this video.
