I think that throw away shot Crawford used with the left hand was really used as a way to read Benavides. I think he used a concept from wing chun called chi sao or a feeling system. He put his hand on his opponents shoulder knowing that if he senses it move back his other shoulder goes forward. Crawford was already thinking steps ahead he spotted that uppercut that’s why he knocked him out with his own uppercut.

Great analysis. Saw Crawford basically seeing he was about to get countered and made an incredible adjustment.
