Oh my god So True Truthers lock in this is big!
🫡 lock in y’all
This podcast and the Broski Report are what gets me through my week without going off the rails. Well, too far anyways…. I’m riding the edge but safely
You gotta add BNCMAP and Obsessed to the mix, really rounds out the week
Same but add the H3 Podcast in the mix
keep riding that edge baby ❤

I'm locked in for my weekly Caleb fill 👏🏼✨
caleb studying sociopolitical comms is actually the most on brand thing i’ve ever heard
came for comedy left for new insight into the intersection between comedy and philosophy and religion and politics
I learned so much from Adam ruins everything! I grew up in a 600 person town with no internet for a long time, only cable, and his show changed my perspective on so many things. Im glad I found him again through this podcast!!:,)
His regularly incorrect perspective on many things should help you to search out the correct information.
I rewatch these episodes literally all the time and I just want to point out how soft & kind Caleb's voice is when he says "for sure" before re-explaining the question segment to Adam. I have autism, not ADHD, but it just added another layer of why this podcast is so safe to me. It obviously is inherently safe for me as a queer and trans person because of who Caleb is and I'm not at all surprised that he's so non judgemental about this, it's just nice as a reminder that not everyone finds it annoying or a problem that auditory processing is a struggle for us NDs
the harry potter glasses representation in this episode....it's bone chilling frankly
Wow. As an exvangelical with a masters is in religion and health and current work at the intersection of health and homelessness, this episode was not what I expected and very much what I needed!!
Caleb is genuinely so good at interviewing people in a way that feels fresh, authentic, deep, and hilarious all at the same time
95% of the time I spend on UA-cam is watching Keeping Records while waiting for the newest So True to drop. I never cared about podcasts until I found Caleb and Shelby.
still listening to the episode but the part where you talked about taking care of your audience + sacrifices was so incredibly touching. your work brings me so much joy; your comedy brings out such effortless laughter and im just so glad i found your work! it's so nice to hear just how much you care about your craft and how considerate and respectful you are of the people who support you. you are so so kind, caleb.
i only recently got into your work so i missed the window for your la show, but im definitely keeping an eye out for your next one. your work is already so enjoyable online, i cant imagine how wonderful it's going to be to experience your comedy in person ('':
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
this was so touching and I’m not Caleb (I am, however, on my period)
@@barmhjertige1 awww thank you you're so sweet!!
"we are more special than animals" is such a crazy yet valid statement 😭😭 also what a great guest, so educated and all around lovely convo
I know what he was trying to say, but I still hated that personally😅
as someone who was raised unitarian universalist (my mom is a minister!) i was so touched by your mention :) i grew up always knowing i was queer and always knowing i was loved even when i was not treated that way by the rest of the world
watching u from the middle east , where I can’t relate to u guys contextually, politically, or culturally, the pod is still comfortable to listen to
I didn't know people outside the music industry could see us 😭
Truly, thank you for acknowledging the struggle.
Everyone loves to listen to music, but it doesn't feel like they love to listen to the people who make it or perform it.
Vocalist of the band here, I don't know how I missed this podcast on release. But damn yall had some great conversation going. I'll be going to check out Adam's podcast as well. I very much want to see the unification of communities start to take over and take back control of society. We've become so dejected from one another over the years, and we need to break away from the norms that have come over us in the years since covid.
As well, I agree that musicians need to come together more to levy better payouts and wages for us who pursue doing it for a living 🔥
I also studied philosophy at Bard and wow, Adam, you captured Gary perfectly. I still think about him and have a book where he did a chapter on Wittgenstein. I didn't think I was "smart" enough to do philosophy because I came from a public school, but Gary always believed in me and is one of the main reasons I double-majored! So cool to hear you shout him out!
shout out Gary we love you on so true
YES to becoming a regular! I've just discovered this recently, it's wonderful
LOVE that you shouted out Tara! Tenant organizer here and had no idea my two worlds (escapism via UA-cam and building power with Tenants) would collide rn
I've always said that whenever I see a musician or a comedian live that I love it feels like I'm at communion
This show is super funny and there’s always great guests but something else that this show does beautifully is expand my mind to what’s possible in entertainment. The talk about community and getting people together in unique ways expands my mind and my own ideas even though I don’t live in LA or have a flexible, creative job. I’m an environmental scientist and yet the shit talked about here is so relatable to my own life, especially when it comes to how you take care of your friends, group and community. Really appreciate the authenticity and uniqueness. -fellow hometown Kansas Citian ✌🏼 (We really were always that nice.)
The water bottles with the labels taken off 💀

tbh i think i like watching crowd work standup because im impressed with how quick witted they are and funny with their responses even when put on the spot lol. its honestly impressive
Two of the smartest boys I know chatting it up on this holy thursday
Fuck it’s Friday
Great timing for me to open UA-cam
SAME!
came looking for a laugh, left with valuable life lessons thank u
This dude spoke at the AFSCME convention and I didn’t know who he was so thank you Caleb for making him relevant to me. I appreciate
I feel like I could kick through an oppressive ass wall after listening to this first 7 mins lol
Not Caleb getting me to check out my local Unitarian church
I love all the conversations about the importance of community and I'm so glad we're all working towards that 🥰
I think people like crowd work because it makes you feel like you're part of what's happening as opposed to a passive observer, people go out to feel involved or a part of a community.
I’m so the opposite. I hate crowd work and I hate when I’m at a concert and the performers let the crowd sing. I’m also horribly introverted so I prefer to sit back and just watch. I think it goes both ways for sure
@@karleevalentine7748 yeah for sure it does, but the experience of a live show is communal at least in the sense that we're gathering together as a group and incorporating that sense of community into a show artfully and on the fly always strikes me as impressive but I definitely can see how it might make a person anxious or uncomfortable.
wow this is an incredible episode. hooked from the first topic, was glad to hear in such detail (and simultaneously so succinctly) how the strike resolved
I am completely obsessed with everything Caleb does.
Caleb please pleaseeee come to Ohio, I know it sucks here but I need to see you do stand up.
Love the intro!!! I was part of the Culver City team that helped unionize the Boba Guys loc at Platform + was the biggest thorn in their side 🥰
In the thickkkk of the writers strike last year too - good info from Adam for ALL workers looking to organize their workplace 👀
I thought I accidentally turned it to 1.25x speed but that was just how fast you were talking 😂
this is so real and why i love you! i can relate to the service mentality as a tattooer - it’s so easy to coerce clients into making it about you as an artist, making them think it’s an honor to be tattooed by you. when in fact we are so lucky that people trust us with their literal bodies??? and like you said, they’ve saved and made sacrifices to be there. it’s easy to let your ego win, being humble is a choice. like of course it’s more fun when you get what you want but at the end of the day it’s about your client and how good they feel in their skin. give them the cancer ribbon infinity symbol on their ribs, who cares??
anyway cool to hear it talked about in the sphere of performing🕺
Ayyyyyyye I was waiting for Adam to shout out dropout ❤
Love this show so much ❤ Caleb knows how to talk with his guests
As soon as my therapist started offering in person sessions again, I never went back to video sessions. I feel the same way about shopping for clothes online. It’s a last resort. I want to feel the clothes in my hands and I want to try them on if I can. And I like knowing that I’m immediately going home with them in the condition that I paid for
*in the middle of breakdown* “waaait, I knooow.” *comes straight to So True* 😌
WOOOOOOOOW, WHAT A PAIR 🤩🤩 clocked in and locked in 🔒
Locked in; my favorite part of the week is listening and watching the pod on thursdays😫😫🙏🏻🤟🏻
i’ve never seen anything from adam, but when he was talking about the drive throughs i was like “oh yeah this guys definitely a comedian” LOL
he was super interesting to listen to and obviously very intelligent but that’s when it clicked.
FANTASTIC interview! Thanks, Caleb and Adam!
Omg posted today??? how did I miss this???? I’m gonna rewatch this all week 💗 amazing guests as always 😎

Look at these beautiful guys 😍 Caleb, you betta hit em with the big questions! Love you and what you do ❤ it took me 1 pod to become fully invested, So True is part of my pod sesh now 🎉
Caleb... you son of a bitch, you did it again! (released an amazing-guested pod) (right when I sat down to eat lunch) (I fucking love you)
oh hell yeah
Caleb is my patron saint of hospitality and that’s so true to me
Funniest part was watching this man who’s known for knowing things absolutely BOMB the True/False segment lmaooo I love this podcast
how many did he get right?
caleb is so real for considering how much people spend to get to a show and have a fun time! please come to minneapolis 🤩🥰
Im in the same boat as adam with drive thrus (also a non driver but still) 1. You get to throw away your trash insoide 2. Food is hot 3. No mess in the car 4. EATING AT A EFFING TABLE!!!! 5. Refills (also i love southwest because im broke and its like the metro of the sky. We're all sitting in the same seats and sometimes the flights are just empty and u get a whole aisle to yourself lol)
Wowww your podcast is just so special and unique. Love you/your ideas as well as your curation of guests! You never miss
This is my one and only podcast to keep up with and my favorite of all timee
My favorite part of each week thank you
Very engaging convos
tender combo + dr pepper + this podcast is a daily ritual
perioddddd
I loveeeeee Adam Ruins Everything! So happy you brought him on 💛
As Adam was talking about asking the Big Companies for work and how Conan only got 4 episodes of his traveling comedy show, I kept thinking "Why isn't Adam on Nebula or Dropout?" And I'm glad to hear that he has a comedy special that will be on Dropout. I know those aren't Big Company gigs but definitely a good "middle" option.
LOCKED TF IN listening to this at work (pls don't tell my boss, I promise I'm good at multitasking)
about to get ready for the day and need something to watch, perfect timing to post 😊
I’m here from Broski nation lmao and I’m loving this podcast omg!! You are so funny 🤣❤️
The anti-remote work argument isn’t convincing when the alternative is driving two upaid hours a day (1hr there and 1hr home) imo
dropout shoutout on sotrue...this episode is for me specifically
hilarious episode. I love you two together
One of my favorite people in the world once again introducing me to another favorite person
I’m so glad I clicked on this one. Stuff I’ve been thinking about for so long
Especially the part about how work from home is detrimental to our health outside of certain sets of conditions I feel like I have to qualify here (like they mentioned with ability and children (imo in some circumstances even not all)) and how u r told ur like a pro capitalism boot licker and it’s like well no actually 😭
ugh i love this podcast and i love adam conover, this is great
once u hit 500k im gonna be so annoying about being here since the beginning
and that’s your right
Lmao saaaame
this episode is so important to me
Perfect timing for my lunch hour 💜💜💜
Such an interesting conversation!
Adam has a 1990's Batman Animated Series's Joker laugh. Caleb, you're so fantastic at making everyone feel relatable.
caleb looking handsome in that shirt its gonna be a great episode
🙈
Gotta love the new episodes 🎉❤
I wish this was longer!!
this episode was incredibleeee. you are my comfort creator fr 😭 #calesbian
im actually begging on my hands and knees to get caleb on an episode of make some noise omg
53:20 jokes aside getting caleb on a Dropout presents special would be everything to me
This episode made me realise you and Ally Beardsley would be beautiful 😭
Bruh. Why do people think remote workers don't have ANY other interactions outside of work!? As a remote worker I get out of my house to go to the gym, go hang out with my friends, go volunteer, go to church, etc. I don't need WORK to be my sole, daily, social interactions.
Agreed. I don’t work a remote job,
but i have some friends that do. I work in a very large cubicle office setting and it can be pretty frustrating and stressful to conduct work in that setting- and in my experience a large percentage of people need/want socialization at work. I think it’s a big difference in personality as well- for some folks remote work is a great
option for accessibility and health reasons but also, some of us just want to work 😅. There’s nothing wrong with building connection and community, fostering good relationships with coworkers , but it’s really nuanced in my opinion. My friends who do remote work have robust social networks and lives.
Dropout is the BEST! It'd get rid of every other streaming service before Dropout! Great people, great content, great company.
just letting you know i’ve been binging this show like crazy. also im BEGGINGGGGG for you to get gianmarco soresi on the pod or you on The Downside
dang how are you getting these heavy hitters with only a few eps?? networking king 🤴🏼
top ten things I did not think would happen today: crying to this episode
Adam's drive-thru take is also SO TRUE TO ME!!
ETA: his starbucks line take is also so true
Really great show
I feel the same way about death as Caleb did about space. Gives me anxiety
Ever since I read a comment mentioning the set kept changing each episode I’ve become painfully aware
Love the dropout plug
Sir, first and foremost, can’t wait to watch this educational interview. Secondly, where is your shirt from?!
Feeding us good again Caleb🩷
One of So True's top 3 episodes dare I say
omg I never would have predicted this collab
Talking about travel comedy shows…the best one to check out, Still Standing with Johnny Harris. It’s the comedian traveling thru small towns in Canada. And then he does a comedy show for the town. I would love to see a comic do this here is the States. Come on Caleb, Midwest strong, show em we are “country liberal”. 😅
Top tier collab, would love to see Caleb on dropout though
